I never wrote reviews, but this time I can’t “keep silent”, and I want to share the “experience” of relaxing at the Sunrias Diamond Hotel... it may come in handy for someone.
Epilogue: I have never had the worst hotel in my tourist life... although I have been to Egypt, Turkey, Greece, Spain, etc. many times.
Firstly, I always choose a hotel very carefully, which was the case this time, as I wanted to combine my vacation with the celebration of my anniversary and planned to invite the whole family... And so, after studying the offers of tour operators, reading reviews and watching videos, as well as Considering that the hotel is a chain hotel (this is an important factor during a pandemic), it opened after renovation, declared the concept of Selektum - I chose this hotel with the hope of spending an unforgettable vacation and counting on decent service. Before the trip, I wrote to the hotel’s website, informing the hotel’s hospitality email about the tour to my family’s hotel (8 adults), and my tour operator also wrote a letter to the hotel.

And what is the result?!
1) I'll start with the settlement. We were placed in 4 dirty, shabby, smelly rooms with non-working plumbing in the backyard of the hotel !! ! What can we say about the lack of bathrobes, declared in the concept of the hotel!! ! Naturally, a scandal arose... Katya's guesthouse promised to move us only the next day and, as an apology from the hotel, a free late check-out. There was no way out, we agreed... The next day we were offered only 3 rooms, and another one a day later? ! Another scandal!! ! And oh, MIRACLE, they also provided room 4... They moved, the rooms were renovated, so to speak, the plumbing is expensive German, but the repair itself is very poor quality, but oh well. BUT!! ! Only one robe! Why do I have to waste my time again, call the reception and ask for a bathrobe, because this is stated in the concept of the hotel!!!
Further, bedding with pellets, a mattress pad is smaller than a mattress (this is not comfortable), etc. Well, immediately about the "late" eviction. On the day of departure, I went to the reception to confirm the provision of the promised late check-out from the rooms, because we had a transfer at 16.30, and check-out at 12.00. But, as you may have guessed, no one knew anything about this and did not think to provide this service to us... And again we had to make a fuss... Gestrelation Lina was also unaware, Katya had a day off... As a result, we were provided with 2 other old numbers for everyone... but you understand that this is not it, because We had to pack our things and check out anyway at 12.00. Here is such a DECEPTION and DURILOVKA !! ! So in the end: a lot of wasted time and nerves (I note that I am not a brawler, but a completely balanced person in life) during the holidays !!!
2) Nutrition. Generally ok. Very good breakfasts, there were freshly squeezed orange juice and guava juice, coffee beans from the machines, pastries, fruits, cheeses, etc. Lunches are rather weak... For dinner, the choice of dishes is not bad, there was meat, but not fireworks, fish only in batter and some kind of fried bony, there were shrimp and crabs, but... everything was somehow tasteless cooked ? ! Shrimps without sauce, poorly fried, you can’t eat crabs at all... That is, you won’t be hungry, but you won’t get pleasure from eating... From the a la carte restaurants, I would like to mention the Egyptian restaurant, there was a very tasty duck, but the service was not restaurant … In Italian, delicious pizza. On service: cutlery is not packed, although COVID, there are not enough glasses in the restaurant, so be prepared to drink wine from glasses. Tables are served immediately after lunch (simultaneously with cleaning) and before dinner everything is gathering dust... Tablecloths are not laid on the tables for dinner either in the main restaurant or in a la carte restaurants...

3) Pools / beach. What is worth praising is the pools, they are really chic, very warm, everything was heated), clean, beautiful... Only one BUT, no umbrellas, only sun loungers...
The beaches are very good, there are several of them: clean, cozy, comfortable, a lot of sun loungers and umbrellas. Gorgeous wooden pier. The sea is incomparable... the coral reef is good, you will be satisfied.
Towels are also provided near the pools and on the beach, so you don’t need to bring them with you (this is also a big plus).
4) There is no animation at all, so it’s boring in the evening...
5) Service. The staff is not trained, even at the reception they don’t understand you - they don’t know either English or Russian, it’s very difficult to explain or ask something...
6) Renovation work continued on the territory of the hotel, which sometimes interfered...
7) Separately, about the lobby bar, as a rule, this is the face of the hotel... So, the lobby is located in a dark shabby corner (uncomfortable and dirty), the furniture is shabby (and this is after renovation? ), everything is served in disposable plastic cups, even coffee? ! Alcohol, as everywhere in Egypt... In general, you won’t be able to relax and get high...
