Let me start by saying that this is not the first trip to Sharm El Sheikh, but in winter - the first time.
First, we rested for a few days in another hotel of the same level, so there is something to compare with specifically during this period. I will say right away that Sunrise Diamond was very pleasantly surprised, especially against the background of the previous hotel!
So! The reception may not be so pompous, but at the same time everyone is attentive and friendly to each client. We were quickly settled in. Rooms in building 11 with a sea view. Spacious room, comfortable large bed + sofa bed, bathrobes, slippers, toothbrushes, shaving kit, sewing, cosmetic kits...- everything was there! The mini bar was replenished daily. In the shower there was shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, in the bathroom there was soap and body lotion. By the way, soap and body lotion were in all the hotel toilets. It is very convenient to wash your hands and immediately moisturize them. The room was cleaned every day, everything was clean. There were no swans made from towels, neither with nor without a tip, but at the towel distribution points the guys always pleased with their creations! By the way, the towels are comfortable, not washed, and huge!
Heated pools! Really heated! (Again, I'm writing in comparison with the previous hotel, where the water in the declared warm pools was actually ice cold! ). Even though part of the hotel is under reconstruction, there were enough pools. Comfortable smooth steps, warm comfortable water. There is also a pool and a 16+ zone. The children's water park is cool and also heated.
Animation works both day and evening. I understand that it's not the season, so the evening programs were not at the highest level, but it was still interesting. The kids club is also not bad, the children ran around with pleasure, but I would like a little more crafts and activities for children.
The only, perhaps, minus of this hotel is that it smells very unpleasant in the evening, especially in the amphitheater. Hopefully, this nuance will be ironed out.
The territory is not very large, but at the same time everything is so well thought out and convenient that it's just respect! Food. It's just wow! During the days we were resting in this hotel, the restaurant surprised us every day with an incredible amount of delicious, high-quality food! Seafood, grills, desserts, snacks......Quantity, quality, presentation!!! ! The stereotype that service and food are the best in Turkey is broken here!
Sea. The coast is not one big beach, but with several entrances, which retains its own peculiarity, as they say, a highlight. You can go in and swim, or you can walk along the pontoon (a strong, wooden one, not the kind that throws you in different directions) and go down the steps. By the way, the water when you enter from the pontoon is much warmer than from the shore. The waves are small. There are a lot of corals and fish, but relatively not a very large variety. But my father scuba dived (and this is already the 10th time), so he was simply delighted with what he saw there at depth. With snorkeling masks, we can't see everything that is there. Also, at the end of the pontoon on both sides there are 3 "fences", where instead of a floor there are simply strong nets. There are also pillows there for convenience. The children were happy to sit there and watch the fish swimming under them.
I would like to say something about the weather. Since it was my first time visiting in winter, I was very sorry that I didn't have enough warm clothes. My evening dresses and sandals remained in my suitcase. During the day, when the sun is high, it is very comfortable and warm outside, but after 3:00 PM you start to feel the breeze and the chill. Therefore, a winter tracksuit with fleece + vest or even a jacket will be very "in style" for every evening. But, perhaps, it is such a cold winter now.
Therefore, summing up, I want to say that Sunrise Diamond is definitely the hotel where I would like to return, but in a warmer period.
