We chose the hotel for a very long time, we stopped at the Grand hotel, as it was recommended by many travel agencies and friends went a couple of years ago.
We arrived in Sharm on time, were at the hotel at 7 in the morning, paid $ 20 for an earlier settlement and ended up in a “magnificent” shabby room on the outskirts of the hotel with a terrible sewer smell. It took half a day to replace the room in a more convenient location and not crumbling walls. I can say, having looked at three more rooms, that all the rooms are very tired, but everything works, there is hot water, the TV catches several Ukrainian and Russian channels. The safe did not open, they called the reception desk, they came and did it in three minutes. So in order:
1. There is no WiFi, the issue is solved by buying an Orange card for 20 gigabytes for $9.
2. The territory is well-groomed, green, there are many pools, bars and mosquitoes in the evening (take funds from these creatures with you, otherwise they will eat them). The hotel is close to the Old market (half an hour leisurely walk)
3. The sea, in fact, for which everyone goes to Sharm, was not impressed. One small tired pontoon, on which I managed to slip and grab a huge bruise on my leg. The depth is 50 meters at once, the reef is more dead than alive. There are a lot of fish, but they are monotonous and there are a lot of fish at a depth from which only shadows are visible... in general, you can dive, but you didn’t get any enthusiasm.
4. Food and alcohol. You won't be left hungry. For breakfast, eggs and a croissant, for lunch you can go to the main restaurant, grill bar or eat a burger. There is also a bar on the beach, they didn’t find anything edible for themselves, terrible sandwiches and raw pizza. In the afternoon they give ice cream and pancakes, no queues and quite tasty. Dinner in the main restaurant - beef, fish, chicken, soups, potatoes, spaghetti . . but every day the same. Delicious desserts, especially oriental sweets. The beer is not bad, you can drink wine, even drank cocktails with their alcohol. Bars give packaged juices, not diluted yuppies.

6. lacarte restaurants, do not waste your time, food from the canteen, you have to pay for drinks, and until you give a $ 4 tip, they will not unhook you. It is better to go to fares or another fish restaurant, which we did later.
And the sweetest thing in the end, this has nothing to do with the hotel, but with our wonderful tour operator Join up. They were supposed to fly at 17:00, for which they actually paid extra when buying a tour, but we were evicted from the hotel at 5 in the morning and at 8 we were already flying home! Minus one day off! ! They left angry, hungry and sleepy. We are not going to use join up services anymore and do not recommend it to anyone.
In general, you can go to this hotel only on last-minute tours, the hotel is not worth the money that we paid.
