We went at the end of October 2019, a tour from JoinUp. This time there are no comments to the operator, everything is clear, SkyUp flights are comfortable and exactly on schedule without delays.
We were one of the first to get off the bus, it took about 40 minutes to drive from the airport. Upon arrival, we were given cards for towels, bracelets were put on at 14:00, earlier only for a surcharge. Accordingly, breakfast is not included, but most likely you can have breakfast without bracelets. Until 14:00 you can use the bar in the lobby.
We settled in a standard room in a very worn condition, it is possible to move to a renovated room for an extra charge, but we did not try. Most of the room is not for the impressionable public, dead, dirty, with an unpleasant smell. Air conditioning, TV, safe and plumbing is normal, everything worked.
The hotel was full, quite a lot of people, but due to the large territory, this is not particularly annoying. About 40% of Ukrainians, the rest are all kinds of Europeans, there are almost no Arabs among the guests.
Our citizens are given green bracelets, Europeans mostly have blue ones. We did not find any discrimination based on the color of the bracelet. Everyone who wanted to get extra attention from the bartenders and pool workers regularly left tips, like most Europeans, otherwise the attitude of the staff is equally friendly to everyone.
The food suited us, very tasty, no one was poisoned. Dishes are simple and clear. There is always fish, chicken, beef for lunch and something extra like lamb for dinner. Somewhat monotonous, but not tired for a week. Fruits included apples, melons, grapes, oranges, grapefruits and dates in various combinations. Alcohol and soda are standard. There was a lack of normal packaged juices, under the name "juice" they pour some kind of diluted chemistry like "yuppie".
Breakfasts only in the main dining room, lunches and dinners in several places, so if you want you can eat without crowds, but still our people organized queues for lunch and dinner at the main restaurant.
Territory and location are the main advantages of the hotel. The territory is well-groomed, green and beautifully illuminated in the evenings, large enough, there is where to take a walk. Outside the gates of the hotel is a whole block of shops and travel agents. The old market and the port are 4 km from the hotel. There are many pools, they have a convenient entrance through the steps, the maximum depth is 135 cm, they are scattered throughout the territory, due to this, each room has a pool within walking distance with free sunbeds at any time. There are traditionally more people on the beach, sunbeds on the first line are occupied from 6 in the morning, at the same time, you can always find a free sunbed. The only entrance to the sea is from a short pier.
Officially, the sea is closed until 8 am, but no one stops those who want to swim from the very morning. Due to the location of the hotel in the bay, there is no wind, strong currents too. The reef near the pontoon is dying. Within a radius of 700 m in both directions there are interesting places with a lively, well-populated reef. In general, the hotel's water area has the entire standard set of coral inhabitants, there is something to see, especially if for the first time in the Red Sea.
