Well, another autumn vacation frowned, when the soul is sad, there are practically no sunny days, rains, slush... Brr... The question of where to go was not there, you start dreaming about an autumn vacation at the end of the summer one. I have been eyeing the Grand Hotel Sharm for a long time, but then it suddenly disappeared from the Russian market, then the price was somehow insane, then a lot of negative reviews appeared, although there are not so many of them. But suddenly, in the fall, Biblio Globus offered very good prices - and I finally decided - only there. My friends did not care, so I ran all the affairs myself, which, in fact, I always do. I corresponded with tourists who had adequate reviews, and everything was finally decided. Only my travel agent at first was wary of this tour operator, but then she reassured me that you can safely book, which we did 3 weeks before departure.
Then I began to shovel through all the photographs of tourists available on the Internet and I began to come across pictures with views of the rooms, which, to put it mildly, somewhat upset me. There were tiny rooms, with a shower room, in which you simply can’t turn around, tiny balconies (these are standard rooms) - of course, we come to the sea, not to sit from morning to evening in the room, but a little bit of comfort and convenience for 5*hotel must be appropriate. Then I found out that this hotel was built from a long-term construction and it has many small rooms, but there are also more or less decent ones. Corresponded with the front manager of the hotel, he promised to do everything well, but we needed 2 rooms next to each other. Upon arrival, we were immediately handed the keys to 2 adjacent rooms - 125 and 126 in building 4 (I don’t know the standard or not) - when we entered the room, we expected a surprise = for two there was one huge bed, which we were somewhat puzzled about, it seems not a married couple,

normal orientation is an unexpected move. The second friend lived alone, of course, for one, it was fine. We sank to the reception. Still poorly oriented in the hotel, the road seemed endless, we went to negotiate with the manager with whom we corresponded, offered rooms in the most distant rooms, but said. that they are worse. We stood, thought, conferred and decided to let everything be as it is. What they did not regret at all. The way back seemed not so long, since the territory is very green and there is a lot of shade, after 5 minutes things were brought up and we rushed to the sea to relieve road fatigue. The sea met as always affectionately and gently, striking with its unusual colors - from light turquoise to dark dark blue. The beach seemed a little small, although very beautiful - palm trees, lots of umbrellas, but the sunbeds, as it turned out later, were not enough for such a large and completely filled hotel. This is probably the biggest disadvantage of the hotel.

I had to resort to sunbeds in the morning - the whole hotel was engaged in this, and there were no free sunbeds on the beach during the day, people attended them, and did not leave for half a day to fill up the rooms. The hotel has many swimming pools, all not heated, but nevertheless, and there all the sunbeds were occupied for almost the whole day, probably from desperation. We tried to swim a couple of times, but this is a swim for walruses. We never swim in pools, just one day it was very stormy, so we decided to try it out. Very invigorating!
There are 3 buffet restaurants on site, in different parts of the hotel, which is convenient for those living in different parts of the hotel - the assortment is slightly different, but in general everything is very good. Who writes that there is nothing, I don’t know, who writes that there is no fruit, I will list: apples, bananas, oranges, grapefruits, persimmons, pomegranates, guava, grapes, dates, few? Moreover, all fruits are whole, but there are also chopped ones. Yes,
I forgot about the melon, but this time it was so-so and there were no watermelons at all. And what other fruits can be offered in Egypt? For mango and strawberries, please either go to the market or the Metro store. Breakfasts are usual for Egypt, cups sometimes ended, but the problem was solved pretty quickly. Tea-coffee bags, but normal for little money (16 pounds). Lunches are hearty and varied, a lot of meat, chicken, a little fish, but there were squids, and shrimp, sweets, baklava of so many kinds that it was not possible to try in just 11 days. And the extra kilos were added all the time... Dinners, similar to lunches, but more varied and options to sign up for A la carte restaurants, and there seem to be 5 of them. We liked Mexican and Italian.

Again, to the question of food, there are eight bars on the territory, where you can still have a bite to eat with all sorts of burgers, pancakes, ice cream, there are also no problems with water, bottled water in any bar and restaurant.
In the Lobby bar, packaged juices are poured, and in ordinary ones, only for cocktails.
Alcohol, as always, so-and-so, bottled beer.
A very pleasant lobby bar with lots of seating and even lying areas, live music plays in the evenings, someone dances. Bartenders scurry about with orders, managing to serve a lot of vacationers.
Well, I'm all about food and about food. SEA! It is beautiful, although there were several days when it was nurturing, but it was possible to swim, the water was 26-27 degrees. There were enough fish, but there were no medium, especially large ones. But I managed to see a small Napoleon, a decent moray eel, a winged family, . for those who are on the Red Sea for the first time, it is quite enough for both emotions and knowledge of the flora, decent-sized crabs crawled over the pebbles.
The beach is very small and densely populated with vacationers (I don’t like it), hence all the problems with sunbeds. but I already wrote about it. The beach is quite shady
since there are a lot of palm trees and umbrellas, I had to run after the sun, there is usually another problem. Moreover, when the sun begins to set, the shadow from the very rock on which the beach is located. Waiters run along the beach offering water and other drinks. There is also a cool relax beach with "double" sunbeds, but it is also full. We swam there just to see what it looks like.
On the main beach there is a small volleyball court, which is not very conveniently located, but has always gathered a lot of fans to play. Also boccia, darts, stretch gymnastics, but everything is unobtrusive. Many wrote that there were very few Russians, which I was incredibly happy about, but either the price had dropped, or for some other reason, Russians were decent in our race, But they behaved quite adequately, they only liked to talk to the whole beach.
Interesting system for exchanging beach towels - they are brought to the rooms, but not too regularly.

It is inconvenient to carry them from the room to the beach, and then back to the room. Several times I had to talk with the reception, they immediately began to bring everything on time.
Well, a few more words about the unsuitability in the room - all tables, bedside tables do not have drawers, where to put all the small things that should be at hand - for the first time I encounter such furniture, and the room is small, a large bed, a table, an armchair, a TV, mini-bar (empty), but you can order everything. The balcony is large, but with a stone edging, chairs-chaise lounges are soft and large - in the evening it is nice to sit, chat, drink something tasty.
The bathroom is also quite decent, with a normal shower, but in the shower compartment itself there is not a single shelf where you can put soap and water accessories. Again, the question arises, is it really so difficult to hang corner shelves and stretch out a retractable line-rope where you can at least dry your swimwear.
It was like that in all the hotels. Well, this is in general, of course, nonsense - everything does not go smoothly, and these little things could not spoil our vacation for us. I think that our vacation was a success, as, indeed, it always is - the most important thing for which we go - overseas, the sun, a good mood - we got all this in full, but the second time, I probably would not have gone there. The weather was very comfortable - 30-32 degrees during the day, 18=20 in the evening.
There is also somewhere to go out to El Mercato street - about 20 minutes on foot after dinner - it’s great to shake what you eat for dinner, as well as the 1001 night complex, the Metro store, someone is missing something.
