on the third - fourth day of my stay, I discovered that the hotel where I was was not at all 4 (as in the contract with the travel agency), but 3 stars, as evidenced by the sign of the Ministry of Tourism of Egypt at the hotel reception (photo attached), which -Either intelligible explanations either from the representative of the tour operator or from the hotel administration, and even more so official documents about the "star" could not be obtained. The Egyptians expressly refused to do so. The question of why, if the hotel actually has 4 stars, to place the official plate of the Ministry of Tourism about 3 stars, publicly lowering the rank of the hotel, remained unanswered.

You should be prepared for the fact that the agencies selling to the hotel will also cheerfully explain to you that the hotel is a real 4-star, because it is indicated in all the catalogs of 2009, in the contract with the hotel itself (I really didn’t see it), on the site of the hotel itself, and without hesitation to find out the essence of what is happening.
Currently, an official request has been sent to the Ministry of Tourism of Egypt on this issue.
