We arrived at the hotel by one o'clock in the afternoon, so we immediately went to dinner, only we were put on bracelets (red). After dinner, we went to our rooms. We were 4 people and were given 2 rooms respectively. As soon as I saw where they were taking us, my heart sank, as I had previously read negative reviews about these rooms. We were settled in the back of the hotel overlooking the fence, rooms 2033 and 2035. These rooms had bad reviews, they say, the fence, there is no view, mosquitoes, it stinks of fertilizer, mosquitoes are poisoned in the evening, so also a gas attack, the rooms themselves are also dark and damp and dirty. Well, what can I say, friends, everything is true, that's right. An attempt to improve our situation failed, we were offered to change at the reception with a surcharge, $ 5 per day for each room for all days of stay, that is, $ 60 came out on top. Maybe for someone this is a trifle, but we are people with a modest income and this is a sum for us. We decided to stay and spend the money on entertainment. In the end, we did not come to sit in the rooms. As a result, two days later we realized that it was not worth straining, after watching the movement around the hotel, especially in the evening, we realized that we now don’t want to go to other rooms for anything, and ours are very suitable for us due to their remoteness from the "main holiday life" and relative privacy, we put chairs in front of our doors (our entrances were located nearby, the platform itself was a triangle, the doors were in the corner on both sides, when we were in the rooms, we did not close our doors) and often sat before going to bed with beer and snacks, discussed the events of the next day. And if you wanted fun, then you went out to the pool, there was evening animation, the guys were great, every day they tried to entertain people, and ended the program with a fun playful dance - everyone danced). As for mosquitoes - guys, they are everywhere, even in front of the best rooms, in the evening they nibbled on the legs, wherever they went, so it does not depend on the location of the room. Yes, at six in the evening an employee passed with a very noisy contraption and sprayed some kind of agent, either smoke or gas, in general, when we heard the growing noise, we simply closed the windows and doors. In half an hour everything is as usual, no stench and smoke. And fewer mosquitoes, of course. The room is really dark, well, at night all the rooms are dark))), but during the day we didn’t sit in it. In the morning I parted the curtains and opened the window and it ventilated for a while, in the afternoon and a little in the evening too. The furniture is old, but everything was in good condition, TV, refrigerator, hair dryer, air conditioning, safe - everything is working. The only thing that was a little annoying was one key for two, we often had to run around in search of our son in order to get into the room. If I come to Virginia again, I will specifically ask for the same numbers. And there are amazing plants blooming everywhere and delighting the eye. I won’t talk about food for a long time, everyone writes this and I won’t write anything new, in Egyptian hotels no one will be able to starve to death - this is a fact I have verified)) about monotony, people often write. . . maybe if you live there for a month. I have not been able to get tired of the dishes offered for a week. Cottage cheese in several variations (salty, neutral and with strawberry filler), many sauces, sweet, bitter, legumes also in several versions, mashed potatoes and french fries, fish (though only pangasius), chicken, grilled duck for dinner, turkey , liver, amazingly delicious fried eggplant, stuffed zucchini (or zucchini), broccoli and cauliflower, there are always a lot of vegetables in general, there were just not many fruits and there was just monotony, there were oranges and melons several times, dates a couple of times, I would like to Of course, expand the range, for example, mango, watermelon, guava. The staff is smiling, friendly, in almost the entire hotel, even sometimes at the reception, in principle, there is no particular reason to complain, the rule "like it or not" works here, and no one has canceled the great power of the Dollar). It's normal, all over the world tips are in the order of things and we thanked the individual people who showed attention to us, the individual employees of the restaurant, the restaurant manager and our cleaner, the modest boy Sanechka (although his name is of course not that, in my opinion Zandi, but I called him in the Slavic manner). The hotel is located very conveniently, if you leave it and go left to the end of the street, there is a supermarket with fixed prices, where we successfully bought gifts and souvenirs, and take a beautiful walk in the evening to the Mumbai restaurant, there is a very well-groomed area, green and petunias bloom. And to the right if you walk from the hotel, at the end of the street there is a liquor store, the owner is Marco (and the sign says the same), he has excellent alcohol and high customer service, in general, a person in his place, however, I recommend it. Of course, the prices are a little higher than you can find in the Old Town, but you still have to drive to the Old Town, this will be your difference. In addition, you can negotiate with Marco; ) About the beaches: they wrote that the sandy one is worse, it is better to go to the coral one. We did just that on the first day - we went to the coral. And they didn't go anymore. The taste and color. . . generally so. There are a dozen sunbeds, wanting a few dozen, a narrow space even for these same sunbeds, everyone lies back to back and almost on each other’s heads, there is no pontoon, you have to swim to the corals, the brave ones did it, but alas, we were not one of them. We swam a little with a mask, of course, not far from the shore. I even managed to see a large stingray among the fish of all colors, I watched him digging something in the sand, he spun around a half-dead coral for a couple of minutes, parroted yellow-blue minke whales and swam to the depths, I also saw a parrot fish and a bunch of unidentified mother-of-pearl fish . One man on the beach said that he saw a moray eel at a depth. There are many sea urchins in the corals, hidden in crevices. In general, the coral is almost dead, a little disappointing. There is no toilet, there is a terrible loudly screaming uncle who sells beer at exorbitant prices, slippers for the coral bottom and gives out sunbeds. Climbing up from the beach is steep and high. We didn't go anymore. But we really liked the sandy one. At any time, the sunbeds are free, the entrance to the sea is smooth, I found a bunch of beautiful shells at the bottom, I admired it, I had to leave it at the hotel, because they flew out of there with a bullet (thanks to our "super guide") and did not have time to return them back to the sea (((from the beach close to the Old City and a magnificent mosque, we combined the beach with walks around the city. In the city they ordered grilled shrimp, 1 kg for 7 dollars (overeat), there are 8.9 and 13 each - well, sooo big! We also walked to the METRO store, relatively close to it on foot from the old city, there are fixed prices, but there is no alcohol, and the ice cream is very tasty. Regarding our departure from the hotel. We drove through JoinApp. Hotel guide Omar, respectively, from this travel agency. I was 20 minutes late for the meeting. I started with excursions, without telling anything about the hotel, then we reached everything ourselves or with the help of other vacationers. When we were not immediately interested in excursions and gently hinted that we should think (we had Luxor in our plans and we still didn’t know exactly what day and couldn’t know how to plan the rest of the excursions) - at that moment our guide became uninteresting, moreover Well, someone called him and he walked around us for ten minutes and chatted on the phone in Arabic. And then he just said goodbye and left. We didn't see him for a week after that. . The day before departure, we, as required by the rules, went to the reception and looked at the time of our departure, it was scheduled for the next day at 19:35, therefore, check-out from the hotel at 16-00. We were delighted that we would have time to say goodbye to the sea and to the people in the hotel, and to buy something in addition, we went to bed. And the mistake was that we did not photograph the information on the sheet. In the morning we had breakfast and went to the room to change into bathing suits and decide where to go. By 12 they wanted to return, as the number needs to be vacated. We packed our things in advance (as it turned out, it was wise). We did not have time to finish and finally decide which beach to choose, the phone rang - from the reception they said that a bus had come to the airport for us. I ran there at a gallop, with bulging eyes, where our "respectable" guide poked a piece of paper in my face, where our departure from the hotel was written at 9:55 (and it was already 9:50), and departure at 13:35. When I said that yesterday the information was different, he again shoved a piece of paper up my nose. . And shouting "Don't wait for them! Drive without them, let them take a taxi! " turned to the guy who looked at me with sympathy, but then said that he could only wait three minutes. And we galloped to the rooms, along the way I thanked ourselves that we were such neat people and were already assembled, found our dad, who was making the last round around the hotel with a camera (oh, it’s good that the hotel is small! ) and flew out with a bullet suitcases from the hotel. So sorry, Virginia, but the aftertaste was bitter in the end. Thus, a day of rest was actually stolen from us. Thanks for letting me have breakfast. But the travel agency JoynApp, in particular "Come with us" will have to tell how their representative works at the hotel. I would like to visit there again, I really liked some of the hotel staff there and I would like to see their nice faces again. . But if I go, then through another tour operator, for example, through Tez-tour, by the way, I saw their guide at work, the exact opposite of how our guide treated us. But in general, our trip was a success, Egypt, we love you, the city of Sharm el-Sheikh enchanted and we will return and will return, you have now taken a strong place in our heart!
