I have been looking at this hotel for a long time, as it is located in Ras Um El Sid, this is my favorite location.
For three months I watched the reviews for the tour to the truth and, to put it mildly, they were not very flattering. Before I go somewhere to rest, I always read reviews, but I am not limited to Turverda. I also read on TopHotels, in Google maps the "reviews" section, and also watch video reviews on youtube. Everything in the sum determines whether I will go to the place I have chosen or not. So I still decided to choose the Queen Sharm hotel for a family holiday.
Now about the hotel.
We arrived in Sharm at 12:30, UIA airline, flight without delay. Tour operator TPG, everything is clear. Meeting party Flash Tour. We were at the hotel at 2:30 pm. Sent immediately for lunch, then check-in.
1. Territory. There are two of them here. The one by the sea is Queen Sharm Beach. The second is Queen Sharm View. Keep this in mind when buying a tour. Cleaned up the whole place, no rubbish. Flowers, lawn, bushes are all well-groomed.
In the first part of the hotel, the one closer to the sea, light music plays at the bar, there are shows in the evening, there is a livelier place. The second part is peace and quiet. For some, this is a minus, and someone came just to relax, and not listen to "music" and festivities of other vacationers.
2. Reception. Since the hotel is divided into two parts, there are two receptions and two restaurants. But on the second line, neither one nor the other works. But the occupancy of the hotel is not large. Although I read that everything worked in the summer. The guys at the front desk are friendly and unobtrusive. Clean, comfortable.
3. Numbers. Still at home, after reading all the reviews, we decided first to check in where they would take us, and then if we don’t like something, we’ll pay extra and take a room by the sea. But they settled us in a wonderful room, on the second line, the very first building from the reception of the FIRST line. Walk less than a minute.
Room on the second floor, spacious, bright. We immediately checked all the equipment, hot water - everything works.
Those who complained that there are no tomatoes and cucumbers, they are)) but some kind of "good" aunt comes just dumps them on a big plate and goes to the table. And she spat at the people who stand behind her to also take vegetables.
On February 14, in the evening, the restaurant was decorated with red and white balloons. An arch was made at the entrance, and under the ceiling there were foil balloons in the form of a heart inflated with helium. They were there for exactly 10 minutes, until "glory to Ukraine" came and collected them all for themselves and presented them to their chosen ones.
They speak rudely, arrogantly, to you with the staff.
5. Sea. Story. The only downside is the pontoon. On the first day it was unusual, it shook. But then you get used to it very quickly and you don’t notice the wiggles at all. For all the time of rest there was only once a red flag, and everywhere, not only in our hotel.
6. Beach. The beach is large, well-groomed, without garbage. There is a volleyball area and a football area.
When descending to the pontoon, there are more people on the beach than if you move to the left. It's quieter and less crowded.
7. Location. Very good area. Across the road is Il Mercato. The old town is 4 km away. When leaving the hotel, if you walk to the right for 10 minutes, there is a supermarket with fixed prices. It's called BASSEM MARKET. I highly recommend, we always take natural juices there for two cans of $ 0.5 1. Fruits: strawberries 1kg 1$. Mango 1kg 2$. Sweets, Turkish delight from $1.
Another recommendation! On Il Mercato there is a small shop - cafe RAYAHEN. Natural coffee, sweets, pistachios, peanuts, real ice cream, a huge selection. The prices are very low.
Were in Hollywood, admission is free both during the day and in the evening. But nothing works. The children's area with dinosaurs and animals has been removed, possibly for renovation. . I don't know..
But there is a small children's amusement park nearby.
