Location: The hotel is located among the mountains, there is nothing nearby. The island of civilization closest to the hotel is the 5* Hilton Taba hotel, which is located to the north along the coast. Accordingly, I think you should not go with HB - go broke on drinks. A small cup of coffee costs $ 1 ...I don’t know how much water costs, but I think it’s not cheaper. You will most likely not be able to buy water anywhere except the hotel. True, someone said that there was some kind of gas station with a shop in the vicinity, but we did not see it ...The place is very beautiful. Low but majestic mountains, a huge beach, the island of the pharaohs opposite. On the opposite shore of the Gulf of Syria and Jordan, in clear weather during the day, or at night when the lights are turned on, it is interesting to consider the opposite shore.

Hotel : Pretty but somewhat rundown. Beautiful lanterns on the territory, but each lacks one or more glasses.

Two pools, of which only one is filled with water, some premises for shops, a hookah bar and billiards, but all this does not work. It seemed that the hotel was in a semi-mothballed state. On the territory there is, I think, a good amount of plants for Egypt. Residential buildings from the outside look good.

Rooms: Terrible inside. Worn and broken wooden furniture, split TV remote control, rust on the floor in the toilet from pipes that once leaked. However, it should be noted that somehow everything worked. The air conditioner, although not quiet, cooled the room regularly, cold and hot rusty water flowed from the taps, the refrigerator cooled, and the TV showed 3 channels, 1 of which was in Russian. Linen changed once, towels changed every day. There are no cleaning instructions. The room is just huge. In addition, there is a large balcony, with a plastic table and chairs.
All the rooms in the building that we lived had a sea view. Panoramic window. That is, the view from the room is very, very. To the sea, 10 meters, no more.

Beach: Huge sandy beach. Bottom: sand, stones, in places ASPHALT, corals from 10 to several tens of meters from the shore. Lots of sea urchins. It is really possible to go beyond the line of corals only in a few places - there are passages closer to the pier. It is good to scout the passages from the site next to the pool, from there you can clearly see where they are. Near the residential building, in my opinion, without breaking the corals and legs and without stepping on something prickly-poisonous, it is impossible to go behind the corals. Swimming, too, does not seem to come out even at high tide. At low tide, the coral reef is generally exposed. Therefore, it is better not to destroy this wonderful world, but to go into the sea where there is a passage in the corals. Special footwear is not required, but highly recommended. You should carefully look under your feet! On the beach, sun loungers, mattresses and towels are free of charge.

Sea: Fantastic!!!

Probably one of the ideal places for lovers of the underwater world. The water is quite clean (if a herd of masked hippos does not trample on the bottom nearby), only a large amount of garbage, such as plastic bags, tires, metal structures at the bottom, upsets. It is a pity, but it seems that the Egyptians and their neighbors will sooner or later ruin their wealth. However, for now, life is seething there! Where else right in front of the hotel you will see so many living creatures. There are moray eels, and dog fish, and parrot fish, and flute fish, and squid, and barracuda, and lionfish, and stingrays ...I'm not even talking about the most beautiful corals and a huge number of other fish ...The same legendary clown fish is found in - to me in the ratio of 1 fish per cubic meter of water, at least 

Entertainment: Unfortunately, you will have to buy excursions from a representative of the tour operator, or at the reception (this is how we bought a snorkeling trip on a yacht). The prices are accordingly monopoly.
We went to Cairo for $75 per person. Interesting, but hard. 10-12 hours round trip on the bus ...In addition, it infuriates when the guide drives you in places where you could stay longer (a museum, or, for example, Bedouin layouts near the pyramids) and is in no hurry at all in the "lured" store in Cairo with prices inflated by 3-5-10 times even relative to Egyptian, and so 10 times overpriced, prices. Of course, you can bargain, but you won’t get a normal price there. I recommend that such attempts to enter “your” store be strictly suppressed by the whole group. After all, we pay money, and we decide how to allocate our time.

Prices: For reference, I will name the price of a simple hookah - at a hookah factory, it costs about 5 dollars, if you buy from Bedouins or in a store, in no case give more than 15-20 dollars. You will see how everyone will be outraged by the announced price, but in the end they will gladly give you a hookah for your price.
Most importantly, don't give up! And so it is with everything. It is not possible to bring down the price only at the Taba airport. Yes, you can’t bargain in stores with price tags and cash registers either, but there are already adequate prices. Small chips 0.6 lb, 1.5 liter bottle of water 1.2 lb, 1.5 liter juice 5.5 lb. These are the prices I skimped on in a little shop at a gas station in Cairo. Naturally, all the prices that I announced are valid for Cairo.

You can't expect such prices in Taba. Firstly, transport costs, and secondly, they purposefully earn money on you, because this is an exclusively tourist area. Hookah, however, we were still offered for $15 

In addition to the excursion to Cairo, we bought a yacht trip with a visit to 3 famous coral reefs (including the reef next to the island of the pharaohs), where you can swim and snorkel for 40 minutes.
Guides also suffer from incomprehensible quickness (which is not typical for Egypt as a whole) and instead of calm contemplation of the underwater world, you have to do sports swimming at speed, as they are constantly pushing you. Representatives of the tour operator sell it for 55 dollars, we bought it at the hotel reception for 45, and the gold price for it is a maximum of 20-30 ...
There is no animation in the hotel. The only entertainment is the pool.

Staff: Very even nothing. Most are friendly by nature, and when you tip, they are generally best friends. Tipping inside the hotel was never demanded from me, which was a pleasant surprise. Naturally, tips sharply increased zeal and care, but even without them, I think there would be no complaints about the staff. In general, about 2 dollars a week for each staff member was quite satisfactory for both parties  . There is only one exception - a full Arab at the reception, he, judging by his behavior, is the boss.
He several times weighed a full tub of noodles on his head. I cheated on the little things, but it's still unpleasant.

Meals: All inc. - as it should be in the top three, this is a full board + drinks. From 11 a. m. to lunch and after lunch to dinner, you can drink cola, mirinda, tea, coffee or beer at the bar. There is only one restaurant in the hotel, however, as well as a bar. There is nothing more. The declared fish restaurant is not open.
The food for the first two days was not so hot, but then the quality and variety of the dishes offered improved significantly. For breakfast, eggs + egg dishes, cheese, butter, salads, tortillas, cereals, milk, sometimes yogurt. For lunch, chicken and beef are added. Dinner also includes chicken and beef, grilled fish twice. In general, for 3 * - good. Drinks - in the morning tea, coffee, water, yuppies, for lunch and dinner + beer and wine. Beer - a stele, very good, wine is the usual dry red and white.

People: There were 10 people in the hotel in the first couple of days. At the end of the holiday in a week, maybe 30. That is.
no noise, din and hustle. There is enough for everyone. No queues. A very secluded and peaceful place.

Summary: Worth a go for those who want to swim with a mask and snorkel NEAR the hotel. The underwater world is quite rich. Divers, of course, should also pay attention to this hotel. But, when we rested, the dive center, unfortunately, did not work, so it is necessary to clarify.
Also, perhaps, the hotel is suitable for those who are tired of the bustle and crowds of people. Undoubtedly, suitable for pensioners ...A quiet relaxing holiday without discos, shopping, etc.
The main thing is that the hotel does not reach full capacity. If there are a lot of people there, then the hotel will lose one of its main advantages - low population. We paid 1000 per week for two with AI. In my opinion, the price is a little too high. I think that in its current form the hotel is worthy of a maximum of 400-450 per person per week with AI.
