Rested from 19.06. 10 to 03.07. 10. Hotel without meals - no complaints (everything worked, cleaning, view from the window, etc. ). But the food is disgusting. Buffet is not just food without limits. These are, first of all, certain requirements for the assortment. In a country where there are hundreds of varieties of cheese at an affordable price, the cheapest 1-2 types of cheese were on the table. Cold cuts - also 1-2 types. Fish - never was. Fresh vegetables: sometimes there were tomatoes and more often only cucumbers. Neither pepper, nor herbs, and even more so something else, was never there. Seafood was only served a couple of times. And one of them is melted frozen shrimp, of poor quality. Dairy products were also poorly represented (the same yogurt, milk and "orphan" cheese). For dinner, out of 3-4 side dishes, 2 were always potatoes (french fries and mashed potatoes). Soup - always one and it is not known which one (there was no inscription when). A modest selection of salads (1-2 types) with obligatory mayonnaise. Do not hesitate to serve and semi-finished products. Such scarcity is not called a "buffet"! There was a constant feeling that feeding the guests is a big problem, and we eat the last of the poor hosts. And one more thing - that they came not in the summer season to fertile Spain, but in the dead of winter to the unfortunate Norilsk. And if it were not for the abundance in grocery stores, then they would not have understood the difference. I am not the first time in Spain, but the first and last time in Benidorm (where, as it turned out later, the food is bad in all hotels) and Benicactus, even more so. The pleasure of rest, including, implies the pleasure of food, which is part of the culture of the country. Resting in other hotels, I did not even know where the grocery stores were. The food was always so varied (! ) and generous (! ) that everyone was full and at the same time enjoyed food. By the way, I met at the hotel with a lady who had a rest in it a year ago. She, too, was horrified by the food this year. I live in Moscow, but only in Benidorm did I learn what a “stone jungle” is. I looked at the photos before the trip, but did not think that the whole (! ) City consists of crowded skyscrapers (with the exception of the tiny historical center). For people who come from small cities, this is probably interesting. But such a density of development entails catastrophic crowding on the beach, despite its great length. And further. The city is supported by mountains, and therefore the sun makes its way to the beach through them and skyscrapers only after 9 am. That is, it is pointless to come to the beach early and sunbathe before the influx of tourists, because the beach is in the shade and the sand is wet. The sun and the crowds appear on the beach at the same time. And the entrance to the sea, with a stone block in the form of a bottom, is not a pleasant pleasure. Saved my beach holiday a small cove behind the hotel. Moreover, the beach there turned out to be partly nudist. In general, if it were not for the neighboring grocery stores, a small cove and wonderful Mediterranean neighboring towns (Althea and El Albir), then Benicactus, together with Benidorm, would have ruined the vacation completely. I would happily recommend this hotel to my detractors.
