Hotel Port Europa Costa Blanca, Calpe
Went on vacation with my husband in September. The weather was excellent, +30, and the forecast was +23. The hotel was taken from a tour operator, and tickets and transfers were booked by ourselves. The flight was regular S7. This is when baggage is paid. Transfer found on the Internet. Russian speakers in Spain make transfers and excursions.
I read the reviews. Aparthotel, like all rooms with a kitchen. Overpaying for a sea view was not advised. They took a simple standard without a specific look.
We arrived at lunchtime, we were immediately settled on the 6th floor. View, of course, not the sea, the lake. North, the sun will never come. It's even good in hot weather. The balcony is the smallest in the hotel, but there is a clothes dryer. We exit the elevator, there are no signs of our numbers (615). Neither left nor right. Barely found. There is only one room like ours on the whole floor. That is, there are only 11 such rooms in the entire hotel.

There is no kitchen, not even glasses, napkins, no paper, no pen. There is no toilet paper holder in the shower room, no toilet brush. There is a telephone, a flat screen TV. There are no Russian channels. But there is a USB connector, you can watch movies from a flash drive))) Towels are changed every day, but only if you throw them on the floor. Bedding is changed every 5 days. The air conditioner only works if the door to the balcony is closed. Two beds instead of one, very easy to disperse. The view of the lake is very beautiful, flamingos. Sea view spoils the wasteland in front of the hotel, such as "excavation". Fenced, overgrown with weeds.
Bus stops nearby in both directions. But unlike the Costa Brava, the Canary Islands and Mallorca, not all stops have a schedule, and some of the stops themselves are hard to find. These are only bus stops inside the town of Calpe. to other cities you have to go from the bus station. The tram stop is also far away, you have to go by bus to get there. A tourist tram runs around the city, but a very small route, well, it costs 4 euros. A lot of bike paths, very wide, good. We did not find a single bike rental point, and there are very few cyclists themselves.
The restaurant in the hotel is good, we took breakfast and dinner. There is a Russian-speaking girl Valentina in the restaurant. Thanks to her for her help. The choice of dishes is very good, only the soups are always salty. Animation or concerts have not seen, perhaps not the season? The pool is good and there are plenty of sunbeds. No beach towels!!!
Beaches left and right. You can go straight, a small beach, but without sunbeds. Everyone buys sun loungers, we also bought. A deck chair costs an average of 30 euros. A set of 2 sun loungers and an umbrella 15 euros. Given that there is no shower, water is not provided. Two days and the sunbed paid off. But we did not want to leave him here and decided to take him on board with us....
Very strict baggage checks! Everyone tries to fly with hand luggage (up to 10 kg) so as not to pay for luggage. We paid for one piece of luggage. The sun lounger was forced to check in as luggage (oversized cargo) and they charged 50 euros for it!
Draw your own conclusions))) In the town of Calpe did not find a single tour company. We did not have a tour operator....We called up a girl Natasha and agreed on excursions. We went to Guadalest and Valencia. Consider an individual tour, respectively 50 and 160 euros.

We ourselves went to Benidorm by bus + tram and to Denia by bus + bus. Tramways Calpe-Dé nia under renovation! There is a tourist information center next to the hotel, they took all sorts of maps and timetables, but everything is in English. Everything is closed on Sundays.
Conclusion: we had a good rest, but it's better in the north)))
