My magical holidays

Travel time: 10 — 21 july 2010
Who does the author recommend the hotel to?: For families with children; For recreation with friends, for young people
After reading some not very good reviews, we chose terramar only because of the price and with the thought that we would only have to sleep there.
But, to our pleasant surprise, everything turned out to be much better than described on the sites!
1) there is no air conditioning - yes. But I was glad about it, because under it it is so easy to catch a cold. They kept the balcony open, pulled the curtains and everything was ok.
2) Staff - all polite and smiling! Maybe my knowledge of English and French helped me, but they always answered all questions, how to get where, etc. No complaints!

3) The room is small, but clean and comfortable, but we got a huge bathroom, just a whole room! The balcony overlooked the street, so when packs of German teenagers passed by - yes, it was noisy! But during the day it didn’t interfere in any way, and by night we were so tired, plus a wonderful climate - I personally fell asleep so that I couldn’t wake up with a cannon! And the location is excellent - 3 minutes walk to the beach, 15 minutes to the train.
4) Dining room - apparently, terramar has changed a lot lately, but we were fed chic! Every evening, 2 types of fish, meat, a wide variety of side dishes, several salads (there are shrimp, mussels, and squid, well, very tasty !!! ), fruits, muffins, puddings, several types of ice cream, etc. - everything was sooooo delicious!! ! The queue for the dining room is going, yes, we had to stand for 10 minutes. But you can sneak around quietly ; )
So the hotel is fully responsible for 3 stars, although I would put more. 9 out of 10 so that there is something to strive for!
Calella is not a super beautiful city, while traveling by train, we saw more interesting things. But I won't scold him either. Cute and cute. Only one thing was disappointing - you won’t find the Spaniards themselves there during the day with fire in the season (Only German children.
For clothes it is better to go to Barcelona - both the quality is better and the choice is much larger (and what prices are there !! ! Heaven for shopaholics !!! ). In Calella, I advise you to take inexpensive scarves, souvenirs, etc. Well, wine, of course. Orange Sangria is the most delicious wine I have ever tasted!! ! And you can buy it there for a liter of 0.85 euros!! ! And other drinks are cheaper than ours. 1.5 liters of drinking water costs 0.24 euros, for example.
The guides all scared us that they steal in hotels, that it is necessary to take a safe. I did not take the safe, nothing terrible happened. I think the guides clearly exaggerated. It is very calm in Calella, I did not notice any banditry and crime. But in Barcelona, a thief got into my friend's bag - well, my friend noticed in time. It was at the station, so be careful in the subway and trains.
The sea was a little cool (which, by the way, is more useful than when it is like fresh milk), but with my low immunity, I swam a lot and did not get sick. The climate there is amazing! The weather all day was sunny, warm, but not hot - just right!

Excursions - everything can be organized by yourself! It will be much cheaper than ordering from tour operators! Both the train and the subway are very easy to navigate. And in which case, the friendly residents of Spain will always help - they understand both English and French =)
Barcelona is a very beautiful city, Paseo de Gracia Avenue, which is located on Catalunya Square, is the most impressive !!!!
In general, Spain is an ideal option for a holiday where everything is there: the sea, shopping, history, beauty, nature, cuisine, etc. etc.
Only 11 days is, of course, too short to cover everything in sufficient volume.
Would I go there again? - yes, definitely, both Spain and Calella are forever in my heart. . . )
