In this review, I will not talk about any hotel, because I lived with friends in a private house, but I just want to share information about the city of Fuengirola for those who go there to rest.

This city is located in an area called the Costa del Sol, which translates as "the coast of the sun. " In fact, this is the southernmost point of Spain and probably even in Europe there is no place further south. From the beginning of April to the end of October, the weather is very warm or even hot. We were there in April and the weather was quite hot.

The city has a very long promenade, and, accordingly, the beach. All beaches are sandy and free to visit, you just need to pay for sunbeds (if you want to use them).

There are also a lot of shops and cafes. Many local travel companies sell excursions to nearby cities. If you stand facing the sea and go along the embankment to the right, then you will come to the old fortress. There are many flower beds in the city, everything is well-groomed and tidy. I recommend visiting the zoo. I have never seen such a beautiful and interesting zoo in any major city (in the CIS). There is even a territory with Madagascar lemurs that you go to and walk next to them, they sometimes show interest in different techniques. All animals are not in cages, but in the natural environment, and you are separated from them by glass.

When we rested there, we just got to the parade of cultures. Residents of different countries who live there dressed in their national costumes, played their folk instruments and walked in a column through the streets of the city, and then gathered in a huge market square. A very interesting procession. The Bolivians were especially struck, they were the most numerous and they looked the most colorful.

As for transport. An electric train runs through the city, which, when entering the city, dives underground. On it you can go both in the east direction (to Malaga) and in the western direction.

We really wanted to get to Gibraltar, but since the Schengen visa does not work there, we did not succeed.

There are a lot of English people in the city, both vacationers and living there. It is also not uncommon to hear Russian and Ukrainian speech, but mostly these are the people who work there.

In February and August, total sales are held here. Prices are dropping a lot. And since there are many branded stores here, you can buy yourself something from clothes.
