Since there is plenty of information on this hotel, I will try to briefly summarize the rest and express my opinion... We rested as a family of 2 adults and a daughter of 14 years old.
We booked the hotel at the insistence of the tour operator, taking into account our preferences and vacation format. The goal is to visit mainland Spain, visit Aventura Port and see Barcelona. The hotel is very suitable for this. The village in which Estival is located is called La Pineda (3 km to Salou), pinus in Latin is pine, as the name implies, it is all surrounded by pine trees. The hotel has an excellent location for a beach holiday and for walking and excursions. We got to Estival at 23:00 local time. From Barcelona airport to go an average of 1.5 hours. We quickly settled in building 3, room 3325, they gave us a "cold dinner" (instead of the dinner that we missed). There are no complaints about the equipment of the room, everything was enough, everything worked, a view of the main entrance, pine trees. According to the room, the air conditioner worked well, hot water is always and immediately, fresh and snow-white bedding. Room cleaning every day, no complaints. Linen was changed once every 3 days. The soundproofing is normal, and the room did not go out on the noisy side. Sometimes at night the window was open all night. Of the minuses can be noted a weak refrigerator (mini-bar). During the holiday there were problems with electricity in our room, eliminated as soon as possible. After elimination, they installed a spare card in the card reader of the number, they said not to touch it at all))). So she was there all our vacation. A couple of days there were breakdowns at the elevators. The elevator could not work for half a day. This is provided that out of the 3 proposed elevators, only 2 worked stably. Therefore, when there was one left, I was completely sad for such a number of vacationers. But during the day everything was fixed. There was tired carpet in the hallway. I understand that it is needed there to maintain silence, but it would not hurt to change it for a long time. And in the lobby near the elevators is an old rare chest with a jug. It is also not clear for what entourage he is standing there. These are such minor nuances that I noticed, although they cannot be called a minus of the hotel or a specific drawback. Mosquito repellent is better to have with you, because once a mosquito flew into the room. But en masse they did not annoy.
The territory is large, well-groomed, green. Cool palm alleys!! ! Strangely, in the second and third buildings, the fresh water taps by the pools did not work. Our third building had a shower next to the toilets right at the entrance to the hall. In the first building, the shower also worked outside. As a result, vacationers come from the beach, settle down and immediately go to the pool, no one uses the shower in the building. Perhaps that is why every evening the pool is full of sand. We did not use the gym, tennis courts, spa.

The beach is across the road, very comfortable urban, but very equipped. On the beach, there are toilets, changing rooms, showers. The beach itself is cleaned by tractors every morning, almost the sand is sifted. Chaise longue and shade canopy 5 euros. Mostly vacationers sit under their umbrellas. The beach is always clean, the litter bins are monitored, the police periodically walk.
The sea near the shore is warm, shallow, the sand shimmers with gold in the sun. Paradise for families with children! The port itself and the oil refinery, which can be seen in the distance, did not cause any inconvenience. Oil did not spread over the sea... Our neighbors on the beach brought a big crab from the sea (they looked at it and took it back). I also saw a lot of small fish in shallow water. Those. living creatures in the coastal zone do not suffer from the plant and the port. If someone is very worried about the refinery, I advise you not to worry - there are still two nuclear power plants 30 kilometers away))). In the evenings, abandoned inflatable toys, umbrellas, folding chairs remain on the beach, which tourists buy for the rest period and leave at the end. Sometimes inflated, almost new, bright ones lie alone on the beach. Anyone who wants can take. . .
Also near the hotel there are 2 supermarkets (mini)-Michelangelo and a 5-minute walk Alcampo (Auchan). We had a breakfast-dinner concept, we bought beer, wine, water, shrimp for lunch in supermarkets. Very convenient and not expensive. Beer in Alcampo at a price of 0.27 euro bank.
Again, next to the hotel is the Bus Plana bus stop (the Bas Plana service point is right on the corner opposite the Palace Pineda hotel). We used their services when traveling to an amusement park and bought an excursion to Barcelona from them. Big fellows!! ! On the tour, you can choose from a million formats which you want and in terms of finances. A very good guide accompanied us throughout the tour. My name is Natalia. Tickets to Aventura Port were bought via the Internet for a promotion, it came out at a price of 3 parks 3 days -68 euros per person. Liked the parks. Ride the roller coaster. Some are even scary at times. True, the queues take up most of the time. Waterpark Costa Caribe is good, but after last year Siam Park was not particularly impressed. The slides are not as large as in Siam, the pool with an artificial wave seems somehow small. But for a change, you can visit, although it is more for children, as it seemed to me. The territory is beautiful, green, palm trees, many pools, fountains. The queues are not long (compared to Aventura and Ferrari).
In terms of nutrition, this hotel has broken all records. I will not list the assortment, I do not want to repeat myself, but we have not seen such an assortment even in "very star" hotels in Turkey and Egypt. Thursdays are fish day. Very large assortment of seafood. For breakfast, orange fresh, cheese in the range: mozzarella, philadelphia, brie, dorblu. For dinner, there are even Haribo sweets (rubber worms) of various shapes. Lots of fruits, peaches of different colors and varieties. We only used the restaurant in our 3rd building. For 10 days of rest with such an assortment, there was not even a need to go to other buildings.
Evening shows at the hotel, we did not attend, although they were acrobats and karaoke and game shows. Mini disco for children every evening according to the schedule. Animators are trying, it shows.
Overall, we were VERY satisfied with our holiday. Everything you wanted to see. Out of 10 days, 2 days went for a walk in Salou, 1 day excursion to Barcelona, ​ ​.3 days occupied an amusement park, one day was spent on Tarragona, only 3 days were allocated for beach seals.
