A 15-minute bus ride is a wonderful old city, which is under the protection of UNESCO - Tarrragon, where you can drive on your own, having previously taken a map of the city at the information desk with all the sights. 2.5 hours drive on the autobahn is the amazingly beautiful city of Valencia - we visited it with an individual tour from VKO-travel (I highly recommend a guide named Boyan) - we were delighted. Territory. It is difficult to call this piece of land a territory. . . this is not Turkey. Clean, well maintained, palm trees, flowers. One swimming pool, inflatable slide for children. There is a sports center with sauna, jacuzzi, fitness equipment, massage, etc. , internet room. Number. The room is very good, in the main building. Overlooking the courtyard - in the evenings it will be noisy. On the opposite side - on the road and further to the hotel "Caribbean Resort". Balconies in all rooms. The furniture is modern, the room is clean, air conditioning, mini-fridge, TV - 1 Russian channel with interference. Separately, about the safe - the Spaniards make money even on their fame about a country with a prosperous theft: a week of using a safe costs 23 euros (3 times I rested in Turkey - I never paid for a safe). Service. The staff is friendly, intelligent. Among the administrators there is a Russian girl - Galina - she works almost every day, the rest except for "thank you", "hello" do not speak Russian. The service in the room and restaurant is very good. Nutrition. Three or two meals a day. The range of dishes is dominated by fish and beef. There was a very sincere Dor-blue cheese, salmon, mussels, fresh pineapples, plums. But the lack of a buffet is of course everywhere the same - everything is cooked in haste, often excellent products are absolutely tasteless. It would seem that what can spoil the king prawns ?... cooling them down. I was also struck by the lack of normal tea - only bagged, black is very cheap, green is only flavored. There was no tea in the bar at all. Drinks at lunch and dinner are paid, not cheap. Beach. Again, when compared with Turkey, a beach holiday in Spain loses a lot. Public beaches, paid sun beds (10 euros per day under an awning - at any time in any quantity), no breakwaters, normal buoys, catamarans swim between people. One advantage is the sandy bottom. The water, when there are no waves, is very clean. Animation. During the day there was animation, in the evening as usual: first a mini-disco, then a show: flamenco, Mexican, magicians, Mr. Hotel, a dance competition, live performances by Spanish performers. There were no discos, one club dance at the end of the evening show did not count. Separately, I want to say about Port Aventura - a very worthy amusement park. We took a subscription for 3 days with a visit to the water park "Caribbean Aquatic" - I liked it very much. About excursions to Barcelona - running everywhere, despite the fact that they went for the whole day. For those who love shopping, it is better to go to Barcelona on their own or take an excursion to Andorra - a purely shopping trip. If you are planning to visit Valencia, do not waste time in Barcelona at the Aquarium - in Valencia there is the most modern Oceanarium in Europe - it is both larger and more interesting. And one more thing that we didn’t know about before the trip - the climate in Salou, unlike Turkey, is more windy, it can be cool on the beach under an awning (by the way, the sea is also noticeably cooler! ), And in the evenings you even want to wear something anything - a light jacket or sweatshirt. In general, I would like to say about holidays in Spain that all the shortcomings of beaches, hotels, Barcelona airport, etc. are fully compensated by interesting excursions and Port Aventura.
