Standard room, overlooking the pool, 3rd floor. The ocean was visible too. Regular number. Sufficient in size. I took off a point for some nuances, such as: a moronic, wall-mounted, unregulated shower, a pre-revolutionary hair dryer (it’s still an aggregate, but it blows weakly, but the tube heats up be healthy), the absence of a clothes dryer and ashtrays on the balcony, antediluvian TV (in my case also black and white), lack of a refrigerator. There was a place for a mini-bar (a niche under the TV), but there was no refrigerator itself. And these are the notorious 5 European stars! Haha!
The service can be said to be quite good, if not for individuals. The human factor, nothing can be done! But in general it's okay. Self-service complete. Only drinks are served by waiters. Well, the plates are being removed.
The food is top notch, especially the fish and seafood. True, there were a couple of days when even the fish was tasteless. But even these days it was possible to eat deliciously with other products. Everything is fresh, empty pallets with food are constantly replenished, although juices are packaged, they are in assortment!
The staff is kind and helpful, with the exception of individuals. Smile, try to meet halfway. But as soon as your stay in the hotel ends, they immediately forget about you. The transfer was after lunch, I wanted to extend the room (for money). Refused. They offered an alternative option: to provide a changing room from 12 to 12:30. I wonder why I need it for half an hour if I rent a room at 12, and I have a transfer after 15:00? Note that the hotel is only a third full! Again the notorious 5 * European level? (((
All daytime activities take place around the pool. But since we were sunbathing on the beach, everything passed us by. In the evening, musicians played a couple of times on the terrace of the first floor. Nobody played the piano in the lobby during our race. Well, we didn't see it. ))) Evening animation in the indoor "theater" near the restaurant. Never went. I can't say anything. At 22:00, as in the army, everything stops at once, even the light on the balcony is turned off automatically. And silence. . . Dead. . . We went to the concert of the professional ballet troupe Carmen Mota in the concert hall "Pyramid of Arona". The first branch is controversial, some like it, some don't, the second - exclusively flamenco went with a bang! I recommend. 47 €.

The beach is in front of the hotel, across the promenade. Well, so-so. Everything would be fine, even the cold Atlantic Ocean and dirty gray volcanic sand will do. If not for the equipment of the beach itself. Sunbed and umbrella costs 5 € until 18:00. After 18:00 you will be rounded up and lie on the sand at least until dawn! Sunbeds are miserable, unregulated. The head restraint neither goes down nor goes up in the 30° position. A week on such a sunbed and you need the help of a chiropractor! There is only one toilet for the whole beach, there is also a shower, there are no changing cabins at all. And there are some Gavriks in red T-shirts walking around, collecting signatures that the beach is the best and asking for money in a jar, like: give for Christ's sake! I wonder why I pay 5 €?

The hotel is aimed at pensioners and wheelchair users. In general, Tenerife is an island of the elderly. The vast majority of tourists are over 60. The average age comes with families. Youth percent 10. And although the hotel is located on the Golden Mile, shops and restaurants are everywhere, there is not much fun. Old men sit in restaurants, sway to the beat of the "Volare-kantare" - that's all the fun. The clubs close every year. In 2013 there was one Papagayo Beach Club. The club is decent, they hung out there every day. Fortunately, it works without days off! To warm up before disco cocktails, we went to Magic (a cafe near the theater of the Pyramid of Aron). Nice bar with live music, the big black guy sings especially well there. The interior is colonial with Moroccan elements. Beautiful, tasty, worthy.
It's dreary. You need to go either with a large company, or for those who are looking for peace and tranquility. No one will break it! We were three girls. We had fun as best we could and everything outside the hotel. There was no desire to return. Not to the hotel, not to the island! Not mine. . .
