Review of Movenpick Jordan We visited Jordan three times, two of which stayed in Movenpick. I want to write a review. Movenpick conquered us with its territory, magnificent architecture and an original pool, half divided by sand, which creates the effect of the sea! It is very good for children, there is a playground and a kids club nearby (for an additional fee, of course). In general, Jordanians are very attentive to children, thanks to the reception staff for the cute gifts for their daughters! But unfortunately there are more minuses, such a wonderful territory is not always well cleaned, the staff is lazy in most cases. The rooms are not cleaned well, they asked to clean the terrace, the ducks messed it up, no one cleaned it, we had to wash it ourselves, the child is small, the hotel is 5 stars, and there are plastic spoons in the rooms, even somehow unpleasant. Another minus is that they don’t provide enough toiletries, personally, our family lacked elementary shower gel. I even had to go to the mall and buy a pack of cotton pads! They were given 2 pieces per day🙈 . And one more disappointment compared to 2016, there are very few fruits, in the morning watermelon, which is rarely cut, peeled oranges, grapefruit and apples. Given that the hotel is not allowed to bring food, I consider this a significant disadvantage !! ! We were with a three-year-old daughter and asked her to cook chicken soup for lunch, yes, they cooked it, and we immediately asked everyone we could to be ready by 14:30 and each time we waited a long time for it and promised us every day, but apparently they are so customer oriented! In Kempinski, this is much better and better! Internet!! ! For such money and so badly works!!! ! It practically doesn't work. It's awfully simple. And be prepared for the fact that locals come in from Friday for the weekend.... this is a catastrophe! The country, to put it mildly, does not shine with cleanliness, and here more dirt is added. . . Weddings, Weddings, Weddings - they are constantly, and this is noise, not amenities, they may not be allowed to go to the sea in the evening. You get a lot of inconvenience for your money. And it’s also very disappointing, cap care, cars drive around the territory, and so the child asked to be taken to the room and they refused, an unpleasant moment. I know for sure that we will definitely not go to Movenpick again. Separately, I would like to note the very cool work of the lifeguard at sea, he works from morning to afternoon, is very responsive and will always help. And we liked the waiter, Dame, who served us at lunch, always worried about our soup. But in the end, I want to say, if finances allow, stay at Kempinski!

We visited this hotel with my family (me, wife and two children aged 2 and 12) from 12/28/17 to 01/04/18. We got from the snowless Moscow winter to the blooming spring. We did not go to other rooms, because we were immediately and without delay allocated a very good, clean and comfortable room with a balcony overlooking the garden.

We visited this hotel with my family (me, wife and two children aged 2 and 12) from 12/28/17 to 01/04/18. We got from the snowless Moscow winter to the blooming spring. We had a very memorable and wonderful holiday.
We did not go to other rooms, because we were immediately and without delay allocated a very good, clean and comfortable room with a balcony overlooking the garden. The eldest daughter was brought an extra bed, and the little one slept with us, because the 2-bed was very large. The food is plentiful and delicious. If someone is tired of spices in dishes, then he can easily take almost the same dishes from the children's menu from the table, only without spices. For lunch and dinner, they give 1.5 liter bottles of water, once a day 1.5 bottles and 4 drinks every day are placed in the mini bar in the room.
The hotel area is not large, but all in greenery, well-groomed and clean paths, trimmed bushes and trees. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Especially the whole family is very grateful to the manager of the hotel, Mr. Mohammad. He was very attentive and almost all issues were resolved through him. Jeanne from "Pegasus" will not wait, but I will describe this later.
All the hotel staff speaks English, but my modest English and smartphone translator were enough for communication.
The sea is warm, oily and wildly salty. They did not bathe the youngest daughter in it, because the doctor did not advise (burns may remain). The entrance to the sea is on stones, so it is best to bring special shoes with you. The pools on site at that time were very cold. He saved the winter heated pool and jacuzzi (the water in it is always +40 and to get into it you need to find out the lock code to enter the territory).
The weather was +25- +28. Lots of clouds. The sun was only a day before departure.
On the night of the 31st we celebrated the New Year. The banquet hall was covered and everything went to the highest level (seafood, red and black caviar, dishes from the chef, etc. ).
Well, now a fly in the ointment in a barrel of honey.
We flew from Pegasus. We flew 4 hours 50 minutes. Upon arrival, my family and I and 2 other passengers waited until the "Pegasists" put the entire plane on buses and took care of us. Although our minibus stood and waited all this time. During the trip, it turned out that it would take 3.5 hours to get to the hotel. NO ONE WARNED US ABOUT THIS. After 1 hour, the driver made a stop supposedly for 10 minutes, but actually waited for him for about 1 hour, he had lunch with other drivers.
The next day we met with the representative of "Pegasus" Jeanne. She rattled the learned material about the excursions, gave the WhatsApp number and that's it. More we and other tourists from Russia did not see her. Only heard if you could call. Always busy, always second line. If it weren’t for our countrymen, then we might not have got to the New Year’s holiday, because we didn’t know that we had to go and sign up in advance, again thanks to Mohammad, he decided everything and sorted it out in 5 minutes. I hope that not only I will leave a review about Zhanna. Many were dissatisfied with her work and wanted to unsubscribe upon their return. She alone runs around all these hotels and is so busy. In the end, when they left, they didn’t even control my departure with the children. The driver who picks you up from the hotel must have a letter with your last names and no seating in others should be provided. I have never met such an attitude towards myself and my family members. While Pegasus is driving there and people like Zhanna, I will not go there again and will tell other people all these unpleasant episodes in recommendations.
Well, at the end, information for those who want to relax and even drink.
Alcohol is VERY EXPENSIVE in Jordan. Not far from the hotel (10 minutes) there is a shopping center, there are 2 bars on the -1 floor. A bottle of "Capital" from Lithuania costs about 70 US dollars. In a country where there is sand and salt Dinar at a rate above the Dollar (1 USD = 0.65 JOD). There "all inclusive" is not like in Egypt or Turkey. Only food for breakfast, lunch and dinner is free, you have to pay for everything else. 2 small cans of beer, at the bar, cost 25-30 dollars. Upon arrival, you are not allowed into the hotel with your own alcohol, with a maximum of 1 bottle.
But drunkenness fight, hello health. Who decided to go, have a good rest.

And all because, as they say, the head of management has changed. I won't go to this hotel again, it's a pity that such a lovely hotel has gone down like this.

I chose the hotel because we went to the country for the first time and wanted to understand the national flavor. The hotel fully met this request, it is completely unusual in the style of an ancient settlement, reminiscent of Jaffa in Israel. Streets, stone niches, a rivulet in the middle of the village, a flock of ducks (they really lay eggs, we saw them right next to the path), fish, frogs, corresponding "simple" rooms with aged furniture, etc.

Streets, stone niches, a rivulet in the middle of the village, a flock of ducks (they really lay eggs, we saw them right next to the path), fish, frogs, corresponding "simple" rooms with aged furniture, etc. I was struck by the decoration of all rooms with stone, there are countertops all stone, tablets are also made of stone or mosaics. Housekeeping is normal, everything is done perfectly and without a tip. To be honest, tips were given with pleasure. Very interesting overall design of the hotel, the pools seem to flow into the Dead Sea, from everywhere there is a magnificent view. The staff is polite and helpful, decent food without overeating and excess fat, a lot of fruits and berries every day, greens, perfectly cooked lamb, sweets are served in tiny saucers and cups, a little bit of everything and varied. Of course, paid tea and coffee at dinner is not very good (I'm not talking about alcohol). If so, then the tea should not be packaged, but some kind of custard with herbs and spices. Then it would be logical. The same goes for coffee. In all other respects, I liked the food. We didn’t really need entertainment, so I don’t even describe this side. I liked the cappuccino in the lobby bar (probably, it is like this in all restaurants, of which there are several on the territory of the hotel), very tasty ice cream. Good SPA center. There you can really have a great rest and dine easily and correctly (the food is healthy, without fatty sauces). A lot of attention to children, they have a place to play and swim. The general impression: we got what we planned, the Jordanians are calm, pleasant people with a sense of humor and dignity. I will not talk about excursions and guides, this is no longer the work of the hotel. The hotel is suitable for a quiet measured rest and long stay for those who plan to make the most of natural healing factors and general procedures (massage, including hydromassage baths, facial and body treatments). In combination with proper nutrition and a good motor regimen, an excellent result is obtained. For him, and come repeatedly hotel guests from many countries, including from Russia.

The territory is large, clean, green. They feed excellently.
They take a deposit of 300 JD. It is better to give a card, the amount will be blocked on it, but they will not be withdrawn and you will not lose anything.
We were very pleased with the hotel and the country. We have been to Turkey, Egypt, Thailand, the Dominican Republic and we have something to compare with. The people in the country are not annoying.
We recommend choosing the Movenpick Hotel.

We got to this hotel and this resort unexpectedly for ourselves, for the company of friends. Before leaving, I read reviews to be prepared for surprises, but there were none - everything was at a very decent level. In order not to repeat previous commentators, I will leave only a few personal notes: - immediately change the money for small bills (1 dinar) to thank the attendants - they do everything without a tip and are so friendly that you want to somehow express your gratitude; - excursions are expensive, but if you come across a guide Stella - you will not regret the money paid - a very positive person and a storehouse of historical knowledge; - do not regret in Petra to pay for the journey in the opposite direction on a donkey and on a horse (bargain, pretend to leave or choose another cab, but it's better to ride) - so you will have the strength to digest the impressions; - when traveling to hot springs, be prepared for the fact that there will be a large number of Arab men in the water, so European women, in order to feel all the delight from this miracle of nature and not experience discomfort, you need to have either a T-shirt or a pareo and go in this in water.

Of course, no one will kick you out in an open bathing suit, but it’s somehow uncomfortable;
- the hotel management holds meetings with a buffet for its guests (you will be notified by a letter in the room) - in this case it would be nice to have non-beach clothes and shoes. Again, no one requires a specific dress code, but I didn’t feel very comfortable in flip flops...
- be sure to look at the sunset - the sun sets right in Jerusalem. And the stars - at home they are not at all like that!
Enjoy your holiday and many thanks to everyone whose feedback helped us navigate!

Here we are going to rest in the Middle East. The choice fell on Jordan not by chance, I wanted to see Petra!
Departure from Domodedovo at 10.55 am by Transaero airline (it is much more profitable to fly than royal airlines: according to the time of arrival and departure, and even cheaper). We landed in Amman at 13.55 local time. The meeting party of "Taiki Tour" organized an individual transfer to the hotel, on the way we stopped at a cosmetics store, where they exchanged dollars for dinars at a good rate. The driver did not speak Russian, and since we are not strong in English, we had to talk to him through a representative of the tour operator by phone (we immediately agreed to meet at the hotel the next day about excursions).
Hotel:
At the reception, upon arrival, none of the hotel workers knew our native language, so they didn’t take a deposit from us, like from others (probably they were tired of explaining to us and fell behind). We were accommodated for 10 minutes in the main building on the 3rd floor, we chose the Superior room with a sea view and did not regret it, in the evening at sunset and at night "you can't take your eyes off it. " The room is very clean, all soap and water accessories were present, the mini-bar was filled with soft drinks and was replenished every day for free, towels were changed once every two days (they could put unwashed ones, they asked to change them), the air conditioner cooled normally, the safe worked properly, theft was noticed did not have. Tipping for cleaning the room left 2-3 dinars.
The hotel area is very large and green, quiet streets and it seems there are no people at all when you walk or go to the beach. It takes about 10 minutes to go to the sea from the main building, you can drive by electric car. Swimming pools, one of which is for children with sand (sunbeds can almost always be found free, except for Fridays and Saturdays, when local natives come), are located on the way to the beach, as well as a spa with a gym. The main restaurant "Saray" is located in the main building, the rest in the middle of the territory. The food is excellent (lamb and desserts are beyond praise), but for drinks you have to fork out at dinner.
Entertainment:
There are practically none, music and belly dancing are played near paid restaurants in the evenings, you can go to neighboring hotels or go to Amman (to a disco or have dinner). Mostly people come to take a break from the hustle and bustle, for relaxation.
Sea:
In fact, it is very salty, of course, with wounds and sun-burned skin, climbing into it is not very pleasant (the descent to the water is normal, otherwise many complain of inconvenience). But it is a pleasure to swim in it (especially for people like me, who are not very good at swimming knows how, if you want to drown, you won’t drown, like on a mattress). Bathing time should not exceed 15-20 minutes at a time, and climb at least 20 times. It is advised to smear with mud 1-2 times a day, in the morning and in the evening (the procedure takes 20 minutes until it dries). Problems with the skin, joints and blood vessels, many go away, but some do not help (it is better to consult a doctor).
Excursions:
The next day, upon arrival, we met with a representative of "Taiki Tour" Janti, an Adyghe by nationality (Many thanks to him for providing knowledge of history). We agreed with him on a schedule of excursions (it's better to go every other day) and bargained for money. you will lead the guide, where and how much to stop, and not vice versa), you will get more knowledge and pleasure from the beauty and sights surrounding you. Be sure to visit Petra (average price for two people, all day $ 500) and the Holy Places with a stop at hot springs ($ 350), you will not see this anywhere else. In Petra, who wants to get extreme, ride through the mountains and rocks, be sure to ride on horseback to the farthest monastery.
The best time for rest is from the end of April to the middle of May, it is still not very hot and there is no invasion of flies like in other months.
Will definitely return to this country and hotel.
