After the negative reviews read on the websites of tour operators, we nevertheless decided to take a chance and stay in Tunisia at this hotel. Located in northern Hammamet (10-12 km to the city center, about 13 dinars by taxi, 530 millimeters by bus). Not far from the city of Nabeul (5-6 km, there is also a large Medina market) I must say right away that the hotel looks better this summer when compared to reviews from previous years. No one met us either, but we are not 10 years old, we ourselves reached the entrance, at the reception, the receptionist girl handed over the keys and we checked in. Nothing complicated. it worked (the water was always hot, air conditioning, hair dryer, TV, no complaints). The room was cleaned every day, the bed was changed 3 times in 7 days of our stay. The view from the balcony to the courtyard (the landscape is excellent). The staff is friendly.
Remarks about the dining room. There was not enough staff. This was especially noticeable at dinner, when these poor guys did not have time to clean the tables and bring clean dishes. Breakfasts are much more relaxed. The food is mostly spicy (lots of spices). didn't stay. No plastic cups (as described in one of the reviews here). We had HB food, drinks were given only for breakfast (juices, tea, coffee, milk). Alcohol is expensive (beer 0.33-3.5 dinars, a bottle of vodka-125 dollars).
The area of the beach belonging to the hotel is not very large, but at any time of the day there were free sunbeds. From the hotel there are 400-500 meters. The sand is white, the sea is clean (especially in the morning, like glass is transparent). white sofas. There is a free toilet. The manager (beach boy) was always in place (we didn’t worry about things). By the way, on the way to the beach, the construction (I also read about it in the reviews) has already ended, the territory has been equipped, no dirt, dust and construction there is no trash now.
At the expense of animation, it was not at the hotel. We were not promised it, in principle, in the travel agency. 99% of the tourists are Arabs, there are few of us. Apparently there was no need for special entertainment for our own. On the first day of rest there was only live music. The hotel has billiards, games for children, a disco club. Although you can dance right next to the pool (music played all day until late in the evening).
Excursions are not included in the package. The most impressive is to the Sahara (150 dollars per person, children 50% discount). Traveling on a pirate ship is not worth it. Nothing interesting, it's better to choose something else.
Prices. Compared to our Kiev ones, they vary. Water is cheap (2 l-700 millimeters, a little more than 4 UAH), alcohol is expensive (at the hotel, beer is 0.33-3.5 dinars (about 18 UAH), on the beach - 4.3 dinars, in Nabeul in a special store - 1.3 dinars). Imported goods are much more expensive than ours. Cheap leather. It is customary to bargain in the markets, but they still fool around, so it’s better to buy in fix price stores.
PEOPLE are friendly, kind.
As a result, I can say that I liked it, even very much. To see another country, another culture, to visit its different corners - isn't this the best thing about vacation? ! And some disadvantages, in comparison with the acquired impressions, no longer play any role.

I want to write the truth for those who are going to Tunisia this year at the Azur Plaza Hotel !!!! ! To begin with, our tour company said that we were waiting for an unforgettable honeymoon (we had a honeymoon trip) in this hotel only, they also said that this is the best hotel in Tunisia. In the evening we came home and read the reviews - and they are all terrible! ! We, as optimists, did not believe, but in vain !!! Indeed, the hotel is unforgettable! Only from the worst side! In the evening we came home and read the reviews - and they are all terrible! ! We, as optimists, did not believe, but in vain !!!
Indeed, the hotel is unforgettable! Only from the worst side! We arrived - the first shock was the dirt in the hotel, in the room, and with all this, no one met us. Somehow we were settled (after two hours). Well, and of course, my husband and I immediately went down to relieve the stress of arrival, to the all-inclusive bar! We experienced the second shock at the bar - the bartender hid from us under the bar so that we would not ask him for drinks !! ! When I did see that the bartender was hiding under the bar, I asked him to pour us some drinks. He replied that the hotel is very very poor, and the owner does not give money for drinks, so there is NOTHING in the bar!! ! Even tea and plain water! There are only plastic cups left, which are not thrown away, but washed, and as soon as tea or water appears, the Bartender offers to pour water into dirty cups with someone's lipstick!!!!
It was also time for dinner. And then we were in for an even bigger SHOCK!! ! We go in - a buffet, there are three coleslaws, an omelet all strewn with flies, couscous and exactly ten pears !! ! No water, no tea, drinks are served only in the morning in plastic cups (all in the same bar, if suddenly lucky) This is OL INCLUSIVE?????????? ? When I pointed out to the waiter that the omelette was full of flies, he calmly turned his head away, pretending not to understand English.
Well, after dinner we were waiting for "chic" animation!!! ! All vacationers gather by the pool, the evening is waiting..... and we just "stupidly" turn off the light !!!!! ! That's the whole animation!
In the morning, we still decided to go to the sea. To the sea 500 meters through the homeless and trash, construction. The hotel beach is very dirty - oil filters from cars, pieces of paper are lying around
, packages, rubbish !!!!
After two ruined days, we called our operator demanding to be relocated. And we were moved on the third day.
I never write reviews! But this time I want to warn you - before you go to THIS hotel - read the reviews CAREFULLY! As a rule, they are 95% true.

Previous reviews surprise me a little, but there were still some similarities! We initially knew that we were going to a poor country, so we did not expect that 4 * would correspond to the level! Yes, it’s really 500 meters to the sea and the path runs through a construction site, garbage and an unpleasant smell, but you get used to it in 1 day and you don’t notice it throughout the rest, in the end you don’t have to whine, 500 meters is an insignificant distance !!! The room is cleaned every day, towels are changed regularly! If you do not stint on a tip (at least half a dinar a day), then they will change your bed and put your pajamas into a beautiful figure! About food: for breakfast - various omelettes, croissants and rolls, salads and side dishes, coffee, tea, cocoa, juices; for dinner - several types of side dishes, meat (mainly chicken and lamb) - fried, stewed, boiled; some kind of fish, soup, pancakes, various cakes for dessert, watermelon, drinks, unfortunately only from the bar. … More ▾ Previous reviews surprise me a little, but there were still some similarities! (We didn't have All Inclusive about lunch, I don't know). All the food is quite tasty, always left the restaurant full and satisfied. All the staff are tidy, there were no dirty things there!
As for entertainment, I agree with previous reviews, there is simply no entertainment! In general, the hotel has a night club, a mini club, an amphitheater, where performances from animators should take place, a barbecue bar, a tennis court, a volleyball court, an indoor pool and a gym! It's all very cool, but it doesn't work! The animators explained this by the fact that the new leader is not very experienced, and most likely the hotel "kaput". By the way, the animation is sooooo weak! So if you want to have fun, go to the nearby hotel "Les Jardins 3 *" or welcome to local clubs, of which there are a lot.
The hotel has a thalassocenter, if you want to know what thalassotherapy is, it is better not to go far, do not overpay the guides, the center is good, you will be satisfied, say hello to Ricardo ; )!
In general, the key to a good holiday is a good company! Therefore, get acquainted, communicate, the locals are very friendly if you are friendly to them! Be kind, and the staff will smile at you, and you will get 4 cocktails for the price of one, and whole sunbeds with clean mattresses and free taxi rides, in short... do not forget to leave a tip!

The Tunisians themselves say that the hotel is very bad.
Firstly, the hotel does not correspond to four stars, even three stars are too many for it, almost nothing corresponds to the description. Two pools are declared, one is open (this is true), the other is closed, which also corresponds, because it is closed for REPAIR, the territory of Azur Plaza is very small and not well-groomed, looking at drying palm trees, lack of lawn and broken sun loungers, a dirty hotel of pleasure is not delivers.
Location. Near the hotel, in addition to other hotels, there were 5 shops where you could buy water, ice cream and some souvenirs and two cafes, the only thing that brightened up our pastime in the evenings. Some infrastructure is located about a kilometer from the hotel, so entertainment there isn't.
Number fund. Initially, we were settled in a room where out of 6 light bulbs only 2 worked, the balcony door did not close, the bedding was already used by someone, the telephone cord was tied on a non-working air conditioner, and the useless phone itself was on the bedside table, there were no towels at all, the room itself was worse than any kopeck piece, you must admit, the beginning of the holiday did not please, but rather caused a quiet horror. The next day, when we asked our guide (we will talk about him a little later) to move us, we got a pretty decent room, but still didn’t pull on 4 stars.
The all inclusive bar does not include anything but terrible tea (there was not even elementary filter coffee) and drinks from the machine (sprite, cola, fanta), often these drinks were not available. We were not interested in alcohol, but from what was on the shelves, only the most unpretentious alcoholic can satisfy his needs, a person who does not drink denatured alcohol is unlikely to find something for himself there.
Reception. We could not change money until the end of the vacation, this was motivated by the fact that no one changes dinars with them, therefore they cannot change dollars for us either, so we had to go to the bank (about 1 km) or change money in nearby shops.
Dining room. The word "restaurant" doesn't really fit this place. Despite the fact that we are not the first time in Tunisia, the poor menu and the lack of any drinks in the dining room discouraged us, in order to wash down the FOOD that we were offered, we had to go to the all-inclusive bar, wait for at least someone to come up and poured us what was at the moment from the water (sprite, cola or fanta), and then with all this go back to the dining room. We had to wait for plates, because there were not enough of them for the number of vacationers, but when they were brought, it was quite difficult to pick them up, because. they slipped out of our hands (greasy and dirty), we also waited 20 minutes for forks and knives, their cleanliness was the same as the plates. Napkins were not issued at all, so it was not possible to wipe the cutlery. The number of flies on the prepared dishes cannot be described, in addition, plates were pulled out of the hands and fruits were laid on the dirty hands of the hotel staff. It probably makes no sense to describe the tables in the dining room, except for the absence of some tablecloths and greasy streaks; I had to wait with plates in my hands for someone to eat and make room. Dirty plates after the departure of the one who had already eaten were in no hurry to clean up, pushed a little aside someone else's plate, put his own and somehow ate.
Sea and beach. The sea is quite clean, but it is located about 500 meters from the hotel. You need to go past the construction site, and dust flies there, so whether you bathed or not, you still don’t feel fresh. In order to go to the beach, you need to go either through the garbage dump or through the cafe, which is also not very pleasant. The beach itself is claimed to be the hotel's own, but it's not. All visitors to the cafe are also on this "own" beach, you can also imagine what kind of garbage is on the sand and in it. In general, this is a city beach that is not surrounded in any way and does not belong to the hotel.
Guide and excursions. Russian-speaking guides are always different from Russian-speaking ones, and this difference is not in their favor. Apparently, we were alone in the hotel from your travel agency, so we were often forgotten. Having arranged a meeting with our guide, we sat waiting for him for an hour, and when we dialed his phone number, he told us that he couldn’t today..... Agree, such a service is not pleasant. We had two excursions, the time indicated on the tour ticket from when the bus picked us up always differed by 15-20 minutes. Everything would be fine, but when they tell you that a bus will pick you up at 4-45 in the morning and you go down to the hall and have to wait another 20 minutes - annoying.
True, we cannot fail to note that when we had an accident on a quad bike in the Sahara, we were quickly helped and showed sympathy. But this does not apply to this hotel, but to Tunisia as a whole.
We would also like to note that we arrived in Tunisia before Ramadan, but the situation after its onset in this hotel did not change much, the only difference was the absence of queues for food and free tables in the dining room. The quality remains the same.

TUNISIA. HAMMAMET AZUR PLAZA HOTEL
(EX. "DELPHIN PLAZA HAMMAMET")

And so: the long-awaited vacation has come. Rather to the sea, to the beach, under the gentle sun. Sunbathe and swim. There are so many places in the world where they are waiting for me ...Why not Tunisia? Still, Africa, although northern, should have a warm sea. Voucher from 10 to 18 June 2012 - 10 days (network of travel agencies "GLOBAL TRAVEL" Pskov).
Arrived. Sleepless night - departure and Pulkovo-1 at 05.50. Arrival at 10.15 Moscow time and at 07.00. in Tunisia (in Tunisia, the time is 3 hours ago from Moscow) The representative of the tour operator "PEGAS" met, took to the hotels, promising a hassle-free vacation, currency exchange at the reception (dinars used $ 1 - 1.59 dinars), etc. Vacationers were taken to five hotels - mine was the fourth - I'm the only one who visits.
The facade and visible area of the hotel impressed, unlike others. I also liked the hotel itself: interesting architecture, a lot of greenery inside and recreation areas, large, spacious rooms with a balcony.
Hooray! - the balcony does not overlook the pool (there is animation behind it), which means that if you want to sleep, read or just relax, the noise will not hurt.
The magic words "ALL INCLUSIVE" and, as an addition to them, a bright red bracelet on the arm, which peeled off after the first dive into the sea (with the risk of permanently staining clothes) becoming white with traces of the former redness.
Having examined the territory of the hotel, I waited for the guide in order to get information about the rest. The news was not long in coming: there is no currency exchange, there is no information board, there are no promised beach towels at the reception on a deposit of 15 dinars. The guide tiredly said that the hotel employees do not understand anything or do not want to understand both in Russian and in the sense of the need for an information corner for tourists, and therefore, if you need anything, for example, to clarify the time of departure to your homeland, you should call him from the reception at the time specified by them, because
if you do not call, then you will bear the responsibility for not knowing the time of departure and collection on the bus yourself, as well as pay for your flight, unless, of course, you fly away on your own flight. He recommended taking the safe that is in the room, although the day before our tourist from Kaliningrad lost $ 900 from the safe, while the manager did not solve the problem, the police were not called, only the victim wrote a claim and, looking ahead, I’ll say that before leaving, I did get a visit from the police site, in order to fix this claim (having spent on finding out who will do this from end to end, on telephone conversations N-th amount of money, your money, mind you).
By the way, do not forget to take a check for paying for a safe or a refrigerator so that you do not have to pay a second time at the time of departure.
4 Russian tourists, including me, were not given checks, and when, at the suggestion of one of the vacationers, we demanded them through a guide, we were issued checks, but after that we did not see one of the receptionists again (which suggests that re-payment option was more than possible).
There is a road to the sea - it really is and runs along an uncleaned street, past the construction of a hotel. The construction site goes directly to the beach, from where, if the wind rises, construction debris falls on your head, because the construction site is not separated from the beach even by a frail fence. The beach is dirty (bottles, cigarette butts, construction debris, including plastic bags flying through the air like balloons), mattresses have not seen washing since last year, at least. We sunbathe with dogs - at least four of them, because they regularly bark, strive to lie under your sunbed, sniff, or lick you in the face, you feel like in a kennel.
As you understand, dogs are also dirty and flea-ridden, periodically shake off all their goodness on sunbathers. The beds are filled with sand. By the way, they bothered to wash some of the mattresses on June 15, when, as it turned out, the season begins in Tunisia. And the fact that before that the hotel has been working and accepting tourists for two months is a trifle, the costs of “business”, so to speak. The surprise of the attendants is huge: - “Why do you need the sea when the hotel has a pool and there is an ALL INCLUSIVE” nearby? ”(implying that we have never seen pools in our lives and have not splashed in the water with chemicals for centuries). By the way, on the beach for this very "ALL INCLUSIVE" you will only be poured a glass of water (they say, but I have not tried it), the rest of the "benefits" in the hotel.
Rest in this hotel mainly Slovaks, Czechs, Poles, very few Russians (there were 8-9 of us at the time of my arrival, and the same number at the time of departure), Lebanese and Tunisians. The latter come in large numbers for the weekend.
On June 9-10, students from some sports school arrived (I don’t know for sure) and left behind a pigsty: when we arrived at the dining room in the morning, we found uncleaned tables with the remains of dirty dishes, an unwashed floor on which olives were lying, peels from watermelons, chairs were soiled butter, sauce and Allah knows what else, because the dining room is open around the clock, and leaving in the morning for breakfast, and passing by the reception, you will find the hotel administrator sleeping on the sofa without hind legs in clothes like “I washed the floor, but didn’t wash it ". Until the moment of my departure, no one even thought to clean the chairs, so each visit to the dining room began with the choice of a chair, as well as a table. However, almost every breakfast was distinguished by such cleanliness, as, in fact, lunch and dinner.
In the morning, if you find a cook (and take him to his workplace from the sofa from the reception to the stove and he will weigh you your portion, as a favor), they will cook scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs, bake pancakes, and if you don’t find them, you will eat boiled eggs in cool, cheese (I don’t eat it, but those who eat it say it’s good), vegetables, croissants and buns from the same dough, often yesterday, and something else - that’s something like that. Eat not because it is tasty, but because it is necessary. Instead of butter - margarine. From fruits and berries: watermelon every day; sometimes: melon, apricots, peaches - that's all. Sweets were given 3 times, no more, in the form of cakes of one or two types, cream, obviously left after the manufacture of cakes, and some kind of oriental, we must pay tribute - edible sweetness. Soup only in the evening, I think it's like everywhere else.
To have the pleasure of drinking tea or coffee, you need to go or ask the "waiter" to bring this drink from the ALL INCLUSIVE bar.
In the mornings, boiling appliances for making coffee and tea were dragged from this very bar to the dining room, and after breakfast back (apparently, it is unprofitable for a hotel to have two electrical appliances each). Also "INCLUDED" were drinks such as fanta, sprite, cola, water. From alcoholic drinks: beer, vodka, gin (appeared later), buha - Tunisian fig vodka. Dry local wine: red, white and rose. Pink is pure vinegar. Disposable utensils for drinks were washed when there were not enough glasses, and they were not enough regularly. You come to drink something - there are no glasses, the Slovak-Poles will come for beer - the beer is over and so on endlessly - something is always missing. The “bartender or barwoman” wiping the floor and putting a mop on the mop will serve you without washing your hands between these procedures. Bottled water in the room bought themselves in a store across the street.
For example, in a 3-star hotel (if I'm not mistaken "CLUB BOUSTEN"), where our tourist from Omsk went to her friends, bottled water was given both to the room and to the beach, and everything was at a decent level of a normal 4-star hotel ( good kids animation. In the same hotel there were afternoon snacks for those who were late or overslept breakfast or dinner, which was not even expected in our hotel. Several times they saved boilers for coffee and tea from burning out, because they worked at idle - there was no time to pour water or no need. We arrive from the beach hours at 12.00. drink coffee, and coffee is over or cold, go, they say, to a paid bar - there is hot. They asked to bring tea for dinner - they bring everything as expected, only the water is cold, otherwise “everything is fine”.
The maids clean tolerably. The carpet in my room, as it was not cleaned or at least not vacuumed, so for 10 days it remained so - you will disdain to stand up barefoot. Please bring shampoo and shower gel with you as
they are not in the room. You've got a disposable soap and apparently the cheapest gel you can find. I had a hair dryer, but not in demand. The corridors of the hotel are carpeted with the latest freshness - a Klondike for asthmatics and those close to them.
In my memory, this is the first hotel where the attendants easily call your room or even come if you hang up, with unambiguous offers to "drink coffee with a continuation. "
Grabbing hands and groping in the market are in the order of things, if you don’t buy anything while walking and choosing, they can be frankly rude.
Sorry for the length and crumpled presentation, but I wanted to convey the maximum of delights (I’m afraid that I didn’t succeed, because while I connected the Internet and came to my senses, the anger subsided). I will say one thing: Russian people are a force when they are together.
I am grateful to people from different cities of the country whom I met: from Kaliningrad, Murmansk, Omsk, Novosibirsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Novorossiysk, Rostov-on-Don. Thanks to our communication, inexhaustible optimism and sense of humor, we have something good to remember, in addition to excursions. We laughed endlessly, rested to the best of our ability, saw off those departing and celebrated the Day of Russia on June 12.2012. I will separately report on an unexpected scandal with the Slovaks because of football, when ours played with the Greeks and the Slovaks with the Poles, and the matches were broadcast in one and the same time. We won and watched the second half for 5 minutes in turn, and the last 10 minutes for a minute. If our team knew what it cost us, they would not dare to lose.
In short, gentlemen tourists, if you want to spoil your vacation with "excellent service" and the "ALL INCLUSIVE" formula at the HAMMAMET AZUR PLAZA hotel - welcome.
Think about the consequences and what exactly do you have included? The impression is that the owner does not care about the hotel and its manager, the manager of the hired (obviously untrained, from the street) staff. I once showed a girl in a bar, or rather, I myself served a Pole who wanted to drink vodka, which was not there, with cola. She showed from which tap the cola was pouring, offered the Pole booze instead of vodka - the man was satisfied with my service.
There are no complaints about the sea itself - it is clean and different every day.
Do not in any way transfer my negativity to the HAMMAMET AZUR PLAZA hotel to the whole country. It will be inappropriate. Go to rest in Tunisia, but, I beg you, not in this hotel and read the reviews of tourists. Many write the truth. And the Pegas tour operator, cooperating with a similar hotel and doing nothing to change the situation, simply lowers its reputation below the baseboard. Be healthy!

I recommend a trip to the Sahara-impressive!!!!! !

DELPHIN PLAZA HAMMAMET) And so: the long-awaited vacation has come. Rather to the sea, to the beach, under the gentle sun. Sunbathe and swim. There are so many places in the world where they are waiting for me... Why not Tunisia? Still, Africa, although northern, should have a warm sea. Voucher from 10 to 18 June 2012 - 10 days (network of travel agencies "GLOBAL TRAVEL" Pskov). Arrived. Sleepless night - departure and Pulkovo-1 at 05.50. Arrival at 10.15 Moscow time and at 07.00 Tunisia (in Tunisia, the time is 3 hours ago from Moscow) The representative of the tour operator "PEGAS" met, took to the hotels, promising hassle-free rest, currency exchange at the reception (dinars $ 1 - 1.59 dinars), etc. Vacationers were taken to five hotels - mine was the fourth - I was the only one visiting. The guide tiredly said that the hotel employees do not understand anything or do not want to understand both in Russian and in the sense of the need for an information corner for tourists, and therefore, if you need anything, for example, to clarify the time of departure to your homeland, you should call him from the reception at the time indicated by them, because if you do not call, then you will bear the responsibility for not knowing the time of departure and collection on the bus yourself, as well as pay for your flight, unless, of course, you fly away on your own flight. By the way, do not forget to take a receipt for payment for a safe or a refrigerator so that you do not have to pay a second time at the time of departure. The construction site goes directly to the beach, from where, if the wind rises, construction debris falls on your head, because. the construction area is not separated from the beach even by a frail fence. The beach is dirty (bottles, cigarette butts, construction debris, including plastic bags flying through the air like balloons), mattresses have not seen washing since last year, at least. The beds are filled with sand. By the way, they bothered to wash some of the mattresses on June 15, when, as it turned out, the season begins in Tunisia. And the fact that before that the hotel has been working and accepting tourists for two months is a trifle, the costs of “business”, so to speak. The surprise of the attendants is huge: - "Why do you need the sea when the hotel has a swimming pool and there is ALL INCLUSIVE? " (implying that we have never seen pools in our lives and have not splashed in the water with chemicals for centuries). The dining room (actually, this is a 4-star hotel restaurant, but I don’t dare to call it that) is quite large, with dirty tablecloths and greasy dishes, sometimes with food leftovers stuck to the back. This was repeatedly pointed out to the service staff not only by Russian tourists, but after we called the guide to the hotel, the dishes became cleaner, at least dirty plates came across less often and it became easier to call the guide from the reception, but not by much. They fed poorly and not tasty, I will say this: you won’t stay hungry, you will find something to chew on, eat raw and stewed or poached vegetables (olive or vegetable oil is not served in its pure form), pasta, potatoes, rice, such as couscous, later they began to fry chicken or small fish (shura - in Tunisian), mackerel, which has a sour taste, once they were given small shrimps (like cocktail ones). Disposable drinkware was washed when there were not enough glasses, and they were not enough regularly. You come to drink something - there are no glasses, the Slovak-Poles will come for beer - the beer is over and so on without end - something is always missing. The "bartender or barwoman" wiping the floor and putting a mop on the mop will serve you without washing your hands between these procedures. We come from the beach at 12.00 to drink coffee, and the coffee is over or cold, go, they say, to a paid bar - there is hot. Take your shampoo and shower gel with you as. they are not in the room. You've got a disposable soap and apparently the cheapest gel you can find. I had a hair dryer, but not in demand. The corridors in the hotel are carpeted with the latest freshness - a Klondike for asthmatics and those close to them. In my memory, this is the first hotel where the attendants easily call your room or even come if you hang up, with unambiguous offers to "drink coffee with a continuation. " Grabbing hands and groping in the market are in the order of things, if you don’t buy anything while walking and choosing, they can be frankly rude. The impression is that the owner does not give a damn about the hotel and its manager, the manager of the hired (obviously untrained, from the street) staff. I once showed a girl in a bar, or rather, I myself served a Pole who wanted to drink vodka, which was not available, with cola. Be healthy!
