I must say that for a person who has almost never been abroad, I received my dose of impressions. This is a cozy, clean small room with a huge panoramic window opening onto a balcony overlooking the endless expanse of the sea (see photo); and delicious breakfasts, and very polite staff who speak (although not perfectly) Russian.
By the way, we were fantastically lucky with the room, because when it turned out to be a sunny (but windy) day, we were able to open the balcony glass door completely, put chairs (very heavy) facing the sea and literally lie down and sunbathe, since we don’t have wind didn't feel at all. : )) Almost real summer). And when lightning flashed over the sea at night, the sight was indescribable, although eerie).
The room is EMPTY (which was a big plus for us) a small refrigerator and a free safe (you need to call a person from the reception to set it up).
The hotel is located very conveniently - the first line, plus to the Zoo and the port, where there are a lot of tourist places, shops and cafes (there are a lot of them around) by bus no more than 15 minutes. To a large supermarket (METRO) on foot 10 min. Prices at a nightmarish euro rate still remain quite affordable.
I can name only one minus - VERY slow Wi-Fi downstairs in the lobby and expensive Wi-Fi, if you want it in your room. No more complaints about the hotel. There will be an opportunity - I will be happy to visit there again, but already in the tourist season.
1. I asked to wash things and put them in order - this is the first hotel in which they washed things for me and brought them without ironing, put them in a pile on the bed, when asked about what to iron, they offered to go take an iron and iron it themselves, while washing is not free, the first time I saw such a service.
2. Wi-Fi - paid, 25 euros per week, while it takes current in the hotel lobby and quite a bit near the pool.
3. Food - the menu is not very good, I didn’t eat the first one in a week of stay because it’s not clear what they gave.
4. The rooms are old, not at all 4-star.
5. The beach is sloppy, there are no sunbeds in the sea, a strip of sand and current after it near the hotel are sunbeds. if you want near the sea - lie on a towel. Although the beaches from other hotels are all as expected.
6. All inclusive - whatever, because in one place on the territory of the hotel you use All Inclusive, in some places you don’t use it, it’s still somehow on time, I didn’t fully understand what and when and how much - As a result, when they left, they billed for food and drinks.
7. Payment by card - they do not have a terminal !!! ! They demanded cash to pay for the hotel.
8. The staff is somewhat rude and behaves somewhat provocatively.
I will not go to this hotel again, even if there is nothing else in Limassol, but not a foot in Poseidonia.
The hotel was chosen by ourselves, when there was nothing to choose from. 2 weeks before the start of the holiday. It is better to choose in advance. What do you lose 2 days. Because almost everyone arrived in the evening. And flew home in the morning. In Cyprus, all hotels are small, and the rooms are concentrated mainly in one building. The beaches are all municipal. The sand is gray, but fine and soft, it is leveled and moistened in the evenings. The sea is warm, and there are no big waves, so there are breakwaters not far from the coast. The water is sooo salty, so sometimes there is only one kind of small gray fish. . Posidonia is located very conveniently, there is a lawn behind the hotel on the shore, there are sun loungers and umbrellas. Basically, there was enough for everyone. True, as elsewhere, there are people, a cat. occupy sun loungers in the evening, or in the morning, while they themselves are still sleeping. Behind the lawn there is an asphalt path that stretches along the entire coast, and behind it begins the municipal beach. Sun loungers and umbrellas that stand on the very shore are paid, 2-2.5 euros per day (one item). There is a lot of jogging on this footpath. I run and run. So if you like to run, take your running shoes and go along the coast, it's very convenient. At what they run at any time of the day.
The hotel area is small, like all hotels in Limassol. Greenery is practically absent, a few palm trees that are half wilted, pine trees and that's it. No flowers, no bushes. Water only the grass in the evening, on the cat. there are sun loungers. The hotel is very mediocre. No frills. 3 statues of Poseidon, Aphrodite and a panel of Poseidon on the wall in the hall and that's it. Nothing more about Poseidon. Swimming pool 1 (from 1.3 to 3 meters plus, at an angle). And one more children's, absolutely for crumbs. puddle. Swimming pool without lighting. Very sorry. Animation is very weak. In the morning there is gymnastics, water aerobics. Sometimes children play during the day. And in the evening 1 time. And every evening (except Sunday - day off) - "party" by the pool. Nobody is dancing. German pensioners drink at their tables. (They make up almost the entire contingent of the hotel). If you are young and want to have fun, then you need to go somewhere else.
The room is small and old. Carry your suitcases to your room yourself, no one will guide you. Air conditioning, hair dryer, TV (1 Russian channel) are present. The air conditioner turned on by itself as soon as we close both doors to the balcony. The temperature can be set. Choose a higher floor, it's quieter there. If the balcony faces the street, then it is better to sleep with a closed balcony, there are countless cars and motorcycles on the street. The door absorbs noise well. (Numbers even - on the sea, odd - on the street). They cleaned up well. Changed towels every day. The most modern thing in the room is the toilet)))))) Marble, large, with a bidet and a bathtub.
You can call home by buying a card. There is a payphone in the hotel, behind the reception, and there is also on the street, as you leave the hotel to the left, right next to it. The card is sold in all stores. 5 euros. It is better to go to the store on the right, right behind the gas station. It's cheaper there, and everything is available in small quantities. And olive oil, and souvenirs, and Cypriot wine, and spirits, fruits, nuts, chips. Everything. As you cross the road, remember to look first to the right and then to the left. There is left-hand traffic.
Food. You won't leave hungry for sure. But there is not much abundance either. Breakfast is like everywhere else. And dinner takes place in a restaurant, with a bunch of appliances, white tablecloths, if only unobtrusive music was turned on... And that is, in silence, only the ringing of appliances...... If someone has breakfast-dinner meals, then at dinner everyone drinks are paid.
Excursions are all interesting, it is comfortable to go everywhere. All buses, shops with air conditioning. In general, you can write endlessly, you won’t remember everything at once. There will be questions - write, I will answer with pleasure)))))).
A week is definitely not enough. For Cyprus - even more so. There is such a relaxing atmosphere here that you need to come for at least two weeks.
There were no problems with the tour. We flew by regular Aeroflot, everything was on top, without delays, only early departures, not very convenient, but without traffic jams, delays, in general, there are also advantages. In flight, only three hours with a little - what you need with a child. It seems that they took off, ate, and are already sitting down. The time difference is only an hour, neither adaptation nor acclimatization is needed. We had a comfortable stay, we all enjoyed it.
Sent travel agency ICS, they met the same. Everything is clear, polite, thanks to them.
We chose the hotel ourselves, we needed Al Inclusiv. There are few such options, so our hotel was the most suitable. At first, the hotel, I confess, disappointed. I do not like to compare countries, but the comparison with Turkey suggests itself. The Cypriot hotel is much simpler, a bit old, shabby, sometimes well, just the spitting image of a sanatorium or boarding house, there was such nostalgia. The territory of the hotel is very modest, the leaves of the attackers are not removed promptly, you can’t take a walk, you went out, ten meters and already the beach. Well, here all such hotels are compact, as we understood after walking along the embankment. But our hotel had a very good beach, wide. Sand gray dirty color, unpleasant even at first, squeamish feeling like dirt, but when you get used to it, you understand how small and pleasant it is to the touch. There were no sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach, only on the territory, but for free.
Essentially no entertainment. Animators do not run after you, in general, from Al Inclisiv here, in fact, only food without restrictions. Although, what are the restrictions, everything is already sparse and not diverse - the choice is modest. But everything is good and delicious.
The room is normal, everything works, a bit old, but tolerable. The number was changed. At first they gave it to us on the very bottom floor, it was noisy, they asked for a higher one, and they gave us a large room. We paid for the sea view - I consider it important not to hear the noise of the road and to have a pleasant view from the balcony. The refrigerator is paid, we paid for two days, then refused - it barely freezes.
We went to the city, you can take a walk along the embankment, there is a children's park, we are no longer old enough, but there is also a mini-zoo - we went there. They showed us the shopping street, but the road is being repaired and half of the shops are closed.
Of the excursions, we took a boat trip, it was nice, we swam along the island, and bought. And a ride on donkeys. And with our child, what else you take, it will be hard for him. On donkeys - just right, it was fun for everyone, both for him and for us. And ride and have fun. In general, I liked it.
In general, from rest, despite some criticality in my story, the best memories. Time is running short, the week is quickly over. As a result, they got used to the hotel, everything is not so scary. But you need to understand that this is not Turkey for you. To avoid disappointment!
