We checked in at night, after 5 stars in different countries, we were shocked by the complete absence of a reception desk (a room with several wicker chairs and a single dim light bulb) and a sleepy "administrator" of a gypsy look in dirty shorts. The pool was discovered in the morning.
We got the room in both the new and the old buildings. The new one for 4 people is spacious with two rooms and a kitchenette. There was some utensils, but we didn't cook. Linen changed every 3 days, cleaning every other day. No one is washing either the bathroom or the balconies. The staff is essentially two people - a woman who serves breakfast in the morning and cleans the rooms and that "gypsy", who is also a handyman and serves dinner. They speak English, not a word in Russian. The owner Alexandrakis constantly grumbles at the "employees".
The lower pool with a dirty bottom and floating leaves and other debris, no one bathes in it.
In the upper pool in the afternoon after two (the Greeks have a siesta), locals come and everyone dives into the pool, takes sunbeds. Passage yard.
The food is modest. The kid is already eating regular food, but he refused to eat blue eggs in the morning. I ate natural yogurt with peaches for a week. The choice is poor, everything is cold. In the evenings, a fixed menu, once at a time is not necessary. The fish was delicious, lamb and fu legs. During the day you can order food at the pool bar, the portions are huge, you can’t eat it alone.
The sea is pleasant, but it is better to walk to the back of the beach. Walk 100 meters, but it is much warmer there. The Greeks do not hesitate to take a piece of paper stuck to the urn. The beach is clean. 2 sun loungers with an umbrella in the part closer to the river cost 5 euros for the whole day, in the far warm part 7 euros.
We did not take excursions, with a baby it is not realistic. But they rented a minivan car, and they themselves rode both to the cave of Zeus and to the Libyan Sea. Savings at times and looked great.
Now the most annoying. On Saturday from lunch they began to arrange tables instead of sunbeds by the pool and dress up in every possible way. It turned out that the hotel (with a stretch it can be called that) was rented for a celebration in honor of the boy's baptism. They brought a frying machine for sheep and grills for vegetables. We went for a walk to Agios Nikolaus, but the celebration lasted until one in the morning, and then, until three in the morning, something was being loaded under our windows, thundering and yelling. The music was like on Europe + Gangnamstyle, etc. to the fullest.
On Sunday, almost in the morning, crowds of young people came straight, occupied all the sunbeds by the pool. The pool is teeming with locals. In the hotel bar, just below the pool, music blared into the night. This is such a local party, a bunch of cigarette butts, empty glasses, spilled drinks. The yard is crammed with minimotics on both sides, I counted those that caught my eye 50 pieces. And they all act as if the hotel guests do not exist at all. Glamorous boys, tattooed girls twitch in the morning to the music, smoke and drink. I like purple what they do, but not in a family hotel.
So on Sunday you have to run away from the hotel!
Having driven along the coast, we realized that a good beach near the hotel is a rarity. And that such a service is a common thing for Greece. But the "party" of the locals on weekdays and especially on weekends turned out to be tense and annoying.

For all the time there were a couple of discos: on the beach and near the bar.
Internet can be used free of charge at the reception at any time while the reception is open (approximately from 8:00 to 18:00)
There is no early breakfast, and it is not provided (although the agency informed us that we are provided with an early breakfast for early departures).
Room cleaning is not daily. And it turned out like this: when we left a tip, they cleaned us up, when not, they didn’t. Towels and linen were changed every 3 days, about every 3 days and cleaned.
Meals: took 2 meals a day: breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is monotonous. Dinner set menu.
Moreover, the hotel guide told us that drinks were not included in dinner, but it turned out that coffee and tea were not included, but juices, beer, and wine were brought. Of the fruits, only watermelon was given. All drinks and food during the day are paid at the bar.
The first impression was not the best: they brought us to the hotel around 10 am, there was no one at the reception, they were waiting for the administrator. Check-in from 14:00 (although the agency told us that from 12:00) Room number 1 got on the 1st floor, very dark, well (which made us happy) without cockroaches. In room: very cramped bathroom, separate bedroom with large bed. What I didn’t like: the bedroom was right next to the bathroom, and our heads, I beg your pardon, were behind the toilet through the wall. Well, okay - get used to it. Also in the room were a free safe, hair dryer, refrigerator, microwave, 2 air conditioners, a view of the small garden and the sea.
However, all the negative aspects were compensated by the sea, a civilized beach, and the friendly attitude of the Greeks.
By the way, on the beach you can safely leave your things during the day, swim, sit in a bar (there is on the beach), no one will take them - this is very pleasing.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay very much and left happy. But, most likely, we will not go to this hotel again.

ROOMS: spacious, clean, without cockroaches (except for the old building). Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom - everything is fine. Cleaned daily, good.

SEA: beautiful, clean, transparent, calm, ...etc. BUT sometimes very cold. Nearby is a river that flows into the sea, it creates cold currents, BUT if you go further away, then nothing is normal.
This hotel is located 2 km from the city of Agios Nikolaos, it is 20-30 minutes - if you SLOWLY walk to the city along the beach and along the promenade (in the heat).
The CITY is small, interesting, with many cozy cafes, shops, a beautiful promenade, etc.
The Greeks give the impression of calm, friendly, open and smiling people.
PRICES for everything are normal, often in a cafe when ordering some dish they can bring you a jug of wine, a watermelon as a gift ...and something else - THIS IS VERY PLEASANT)))
If, in general, to evaluate the rest in this hotel, then I can say - GOOD. Of course, there are pluses and minuses, who has what requirements and ideas about rest ...
In my opinion, this is a family-type hotel - it was boring, there is no entertainment either in our hotel or in neighboring ones, there are few young people.
In the evening there is such silence, there is no one at all, the hotel area is not illuminated at all, the beach, however, too, so if you walk to the city and back in the evening, it is somehow creepy and scary.
And another minus, in my opinion, since the hotel is not close (2 km) from the city and meals at the hotel "NOT All inclusive" - then you will have to go to the city often and drag all the packages back to the ak ("Oslo taxi" missing) - it's annoying : -)
On the plus side, this is a really small, cozy hotel for a family relaxing holiday. A huge plus is the beach!
If you go around the whole of Agios Nikolaos, then this is really the best beach and it is very close to YOUR hotel!

There are many places in the city where you can go to have fun, there are quiet, cozy cafes and modern, incendiary disco. Have fun day and night!
Although the hotel has a small, but very compact and green area, it is a pleasure to walk with the children along the green, mowed lawns. There is a separate area in the pool for children, where those with squeaks and squeals splash around all day long. For adults, in addition to the sea, there are 2 swimming pools, where sunbeds are provided free of charge.

Separate respect for the atmosphere of friendship and warmth that the Greeks themselves create, from the staff at the hotel to the local residents of this town. Always with a smile, with warmth, they will tell you everything in detail, show you. Very welcoming and friendly people.
Separately, I would like to note the kitchen. Of course, this is not ALL in Turkey, but everything is very tasty, satisfying and homely. We were quite satisfied with the number of dishes that were prepared in our hotel. There was always a choice of both hot and vegetables, fruits, herbs, pastries. We especially liked and fell in love with local pastries, and only thoughts and a deteriorating figure could somehow stop me from wanting to re-approach the table with croissants.
Of course, we spent all our main time during the day at the sea, which, by the way, has the Blue Flag award for the cleanliness of the sea. The entrance to the sea is gentle, which is very convenient for families with small children.
On weekends, discos are held by the main pool, where many local youth come, among other things. Time flies fast, fun and imperceptibly! In the evenings, the hotel plays music, it's always nice to sit and drink a delicious cocktail.
