Rested with friends in June-July 2011 at the Fereniki Holiday 3*.
I didn’t really like the hotel, at first we were even upset - the rooms looked like a summer cottage, there was no curtain or rug in the bath, linen and towels were changed every other day. Although we were in the hotel for a very short time, so we did not pay attention to such trifles. The hotel is located very conveniently to the center, as well as to the bus stop, where you can get to the major cities of Crete.
Meals: breakfast - eggs, cheese, sausage, vegetables, delicious yogurt, muesli, oranges, tea and coffee, dinner - various vegetables, meat or chicken, side dish, yogurt and oranges again - we ate, if not enough, then you could go to the tavern, which abound around. All these disadvantages were covered by the view from the balcony - the view is just wonderful, the view of the sea - you could admire it all day. The staff at the reception is friendly, ready to change the room and help in the problem.

The beach is also good, the water is clean, you just need to go a little to the right of the Tropicana cafe and a little further away from the bridge - a good place, the sea is clean and warmer)))).
As such, there are no discos, once a week a La Palma party is held, next to the Tropicana, and sometimes there are parties in neighboring villages.
Excursions. 3 were taken from Pegasus. The first - Gravmus and Balos lagoon - magnificent views, we were delighted. The second is the Samaria Gorge, 18 km. walking along the slopes, ascents, stones, but it's worth it - indescribable landscapes, a magnificent smell of pine needles. The third one is about. Santorini, no words, white houses, blue roofs, shutters, and around the sea, of course there are few days there, but we got the idea and would gladly return there again. We traveled by bus to the cities of Chania and Rethymnon. I liked Chania very much - in fact, like Venice, an unusual promenade. Not far from the hotel is Lake Kournas, which can be reached by train.
The Greeks themselves are friendly people, ready to help, suggest.
We returned from Greece in complete delight with the landscapes, unusual views, the cleanest sea, unreal colors of the sea. Crete is a fairy tale!
