Chose this hotel based on reviews. . . then, after choosing and paying, I looked at other sites, where there were negative reviews. Hotel on line 1. There are toilets next to the beach so that the "savages" do not relieve themselves in the sea. (That is, tired, immediately at the hotel, left the sea - immediately changed clothes at the hotel) Everything on the territory of the hotel is green, flowering trees, palm trees, we even saw pomegranates ripening near our room)) There is a hair dryer in the room, which is not bad for a 3 *.

What I DID NOT like... On the one hand, it was lucky that from the balcony of the 1st floor (like a terrace) you can see the edge of the sea... BUT everything is spoiled nearby by some kind of "stink" river with reeds and stagnant water. When the wind from the side of the river - the stench is terrible... all the laundry on the dryer is covered! Do not open the balcony, otherwise the air will get into the room with stench...
Yes, there could be a noisy side of the pool, where loud music sounds and a lot of people...
The staff is pleasant, responds... Although when they went on an excursion for 1 time they did not give a ticket.

Elegant hotel, although it is 3 *, but I would easily give it 3 * +, or even 4 *. We chose this hotel because it is located right by the sea. A huge plus, as for a hotel in Europe - free sunbeds. The animation was just great. The room is nice, spacious, clean, cleaning - good. I didn't like the breakfasts very much.

The area is beautiful, landscaped, no smell of sewage, as written in the reviews, there is not. Very good location of the hotel, beautiful beach, beautiful sea, everything is great.

The check-in went well, since we arrived at night, but the hotel is really bad 3 *. The food is terrible, breakfast is cheese and sausages, all this is not tasty. There are very few of our tourists, mainly Poles rest there. The hotel is for people 40+, and we, the youth, were sent there. The beach is normal.

A hotel in a village near Rethymnon, there is a shop there, if you run across a double solid line, there is also some kind of cafe, but there will be no WOW. If you rent a car, you can go somewhere. For young people, this hotel is definitely not suitable.

The staff is slow, it seems that they have tourists in the liver already. There are 60% of Poles in the hotel. Sunbeds are already in the evening, or maybe (it seems) for the entire stay, while no one may appear for the whole day. We walked along the coast and saw how in other hotels the remaining things from the sunbeds were collected, and sunbeds and umbrellas were washed (watered from a hose). Near the pool (although it is written not to bring glasses to the pool), the Poles (inadvertently) broke a glass, no one said anything. Conclusion - the hotel is suitable for housing, there are pigs among all nations.

Kavros Beach 3 * - a small 3-storey hotel, consisting of several houses, a corridor leading to the sandy beach of the delightful Cretan Sea. The hotel employees are friendly, solving all problems instantly (for example, we didn’t have an ashtray or a hair dryer in our room. The maids guessed about the ashtray themselves.

Kavros Beach 3 * - a small 3-storey hotel, consisting of several houses, a corridor leading to the sandy beach of the delightful Cretan Sea. The hotel employees are friendly, solving all problems instantly (for example, we didn’t have an ashtray or a hair dryer in our room. The maids guessed about the ashtray themselves. We only hinted at the hair dryer at the reception, they immediately gave it to us). Restrained minimalism reigns in the rooms. There is air conditioning, a mini-fridge, TV, telephone, shared bathroom, a tiny safe in the built-in closet (the key to the safe can be taken at the reception for a fee). The spacious loggia has a folding dryer, plastic chairs and a round table. The floors are all tiled, no carpets. Bed linen and towels are changed every three days, but cleaning is daily. Good swimming pool (without diving towers), bar, table tennis, spacious dining room with "terraces". On the beach and around the pool, sunbeds are free, stretched with mesh material, therefore they are always clean. The beach is clean, no cigarette butts. Surprised by the lack of fish (and seagulls, respectively) in the sea. But the sea, of course, is magical, bewitching, with boiling-white scruffs of the waves, infinitely affectionate. The food (we had HB, i. e. breakfasts and dinners, buffet) is excellent, thanks to the cooks of Kavros Beach! Of the special sweets, these are the freshest croissants, local oranges (they were in great demand), garlic-mayonnaise sauce (will decorate any dish). For dinner - dry table wine, white and red - no one limits, you pour yourself. It is light and perfectly quenches thirst. The tables are served very modestly (white oilcloth tablecloth, salt, pepper, sugar, paper napkins, toothpicks). Cutlery and bread we take ourselves. Animation only for small children (disco), adults in the evenings can sit in the cozy taverns of the village of Kavros. We did just that. Across the road - a gas station (1 liter of the 95th costs about 1.8 euros), 2 supermarkets (approximate prices: bread - 1.5; cheese, sausage, sliced u200bu200b150 gr. - 1.5 - 2.5; wine - 3-6, cigarettes - 3-5), shops selling all kinds of stuff until late; bus stop (to Rethymno and Chania - a stone's throw); tram stop (special wheeled trams run to Lake Kournas and back, a round-trip ticket costs 8 euros). Normal hotel. Convenient location, near the national highway (convenient to get to Rethymnon or Chania), close to supermarkets, car rental and a sea of souvenir shops and restaurants. Close to the sea, private beach. The sea is EXCELLENT, VERY CLEAN! The rooms are old, the new building is better.

We stayed at the very beginning of May, so the hotel just opened. In general the hotel is ok considering that it is a "3". Western Crete is more interesting in its places, and since the hotel is very conveniently located, it is convenient to go from it to different places. I advise you to definitely visit the city of Chania (and more than once), and I also advise you to go to Elafonissi - this place is located on the southwestern tip of the island.
