The room is small, but clean and bright, there was no mini kitchen. All the necessary furniture, there were towels and soap, air conditioning and a refrigerator for free, a safe 1.5 euros per day (we didn’t take it, and everything is fine. Cleaning is daily, we left a tip a couple of times in 10 days, so our room was very well cleaned and almost every linen day changed.
Dining room. The breakfast is quite satisfying. constantly several types of salad, cheese, feta, olives, 2 types of sausages, sausages, boiled eggs, fruits, muesli... We cooked the main course in the morning (porridge for example) + olive oil, etc. In general, we ate well...
We had breakfast and dinner included. In the morning drinks are free, and in the evening for a fee (tea, coffee, juices, wine, etc. ). But in the evening there is such an abundance of dishes, salads, meat, fruits... And another 5-6 types of ice cream that you no longer want to drink... Near 2 large beaches (long and wide). The sea is restless, it was stormy for a couple of days, it was completely calm for a couple of days, but we always swam. The coast is gentle, with children it is good to relax.
Almost 100% of vacationers are Slavs))). Everyone speaks Russian in the hotel, and not only in the hotel, the shops down the street to the left are Russian-speaking saleswomen. We took a pack of water (6 bottles of 1.5 liters) for 1.5 euros, we had enough for five days. Heraklion is nearby at 8 km - 1.5 euros travel. We go on our own and walk and to the Palace of Knossos from Heraklion for 1.5 euros we go quietly) Everyone knows how to get there, ask). Visit the Archaeological Museum, it is in the city right next to the stop - 4 euros entrance. Yes, guidebooks on Crete are sold in bookstores - in Russian, take it, you won’t regret it, everything about everything is written there. In taverns, we dined almost always - very tasty. The beach of the Karteros hotel is very good - if you don't like it near the hotel, you can walk along the coast and choose a beautiful place to calmly sunbathe under the gentle May sun. Castati, the beach is located across the village road, the traffic there is inactive at all. But the beach is next to the hotel and you don't have to go up or down anywhere. In general, we really liked the hotel. Everything is clean, it is clear that they are prepared for the season. The hotel staff is very friendly. Even the tester speaks Russian with us. We liked the food - everything is fresh, there are fruits. Although the tables do not break, we liked the choice of cuisine. They also updated the rooms, we had plasma in the room. There was even a Russian channel. Sometimes it was so nice to watch some of our films. The plumbing in the rooms is new, towels and bed linen are fresh, not washed out. There was even a hair dryer. I think that already at the height of the season the hotel will be even more interesting, there will be many young people. We were satisfied with the rest - we also went on excursions. We did not regret at all that we chose this hotel. Although before the rest we looked for detailed information about the hotel on the net, but there were few reviews about it. The price of the hotel was very attractive, we trusted the agency manager who saw this hotel and did not regret choosing this hotel at all. In general, we were satisfied with our vacation
