In general, we liked it, my husband and I traveled together, the weather was just great, perhaps this is the best time to relax in Crete) But still the hotel does not correspond to a 5 star, a solid four. What I did not like, but what was not given much importance, so as not to spoil the rest:
1) an insane amount of people, especially families with children, it's even hard to imagine what's going on there in the summer - in the very season! and this number of people affects the restaurant in which we had breakfast and dinner, because. tables are packed! it feels like you are sitting with everyone at the same table (
2) the room as a whole completely satisfied us, a spacious bedroom and another room. BUT, a very weak bath set (shower gel and shampoo), I somehow didn’t count on such a sad situation, I didn’t take body cream or toothpaste with me, I had to buy it, I had to “knock out” bathrobes, because . initially they were not there, and after 2 reminders they nevertheless brought us, the shower cabin itself was without shelves on which you can put shampoo, etc. There were fasteners for these shelves, but the shelves themselves . . Air conditioning is one name! I did not cool the room at all, even after the arrival of the master (((
3) the location of the hotel itself is also not the best, of course, who likes what, but we lacked cafes, shops, a promenade outside the hotel, we went of course to the city of Hersonissos itself, but somehow not the best option . . on the territory of the hotel if honestly, it’s not very interesting to walk, low houses with numbers are still “pressing”, there is not enough space, although the territory is rather big
4) cafes near the pool are also "tired", plastic tables, a weak all-inclusive menu, well, in general, a top three...
In a word, not the best, but not the worst option. Just an "average", to say that I would go there again - I will not say, we just came across a profitable offer with this particular hotel. In general, Grecotel Amirandes is highly praised, I heard this from the guides.
