A friend, a travel agent, reacted promptly and in less than a day we were informed that we could go to the "Horizon" (go yourself, call yourself a taxi). We were indignant, said that the transfer to the hotel is not our concern, only a reminder of your rights and helps!! ! They allocated mini-veins for us and a couple of the same persistent tourists who were taken to another hotel.
Quickly taken, quickly settled, a normal room (of the expensive for this hotel, two rooms). The territory is small, the food is monotonous, but you can always choose something for yourself, the pier is nice, not far from the beach, the sea is shallow, for the kids it’s just a fairy tale. We walked to Hersonissos on foot (2 km), to Malia a little further. Public transport (bus) turned out to be depressingly expensive. We went to the aquarium, who was not in the aquariums - you can go, my daughter really liked it.
Near the expensive good hotel "Nana beach" - a magical place, we carefully went there for animation in the evenings (discotheques, theater).
And everything seemed to be fine if, on the evening of the fourth (out of 15) days of rest, we did not discover the loss of some of the things. They stole a computer with a bag, a mobile with a charger, a nebulizer, a good jacket and a backpack, gifts bought (as an evil on this day)... Fortunately, we decided to always carry passports, money, a camera. But the thieves were not interested in my husband's e-book, they just ripped off the cover from it, looking for money! The husband at the reception, the manager and security guards came (one for how many hotels! ), Inspected the locks that were not broken). We asked to call the police, they were very surprised at our naivety, hinted that this would not help, but we could call a taxi ourselves and go to Hersonissos, where the nearest station is located. We contacted the hotel guide, she said where the police were, but advised to go there in the morning. That is, the hotel refused to help us! Half the night they remembered English words, prepared an application, which the husband submitted to the police station in the morning. Their police are weak, they don’t come to the scene of the crime, they don’t carry out operational and investigative actions, they just accepted the application and that’s all - it would be possible not to go.
The vacation was ruined, the days were counted until departure. The loss of the computer was a blow to me, since there is a lot of working information that I have to collect bit by bit now. With this review, I just want to warn those who go on vacation.
