The room was always dirty and dusty all 2 weeks of stay. I am attaching a photo below. All two weeks on this occasion I had to swear with administrators and cleaners. The cleaning lady broke one of us's tablet, we were not compensated for the damage, of course. Constantly on the balcony there was a huge puddle from the air conditioner, this problem was never really solved, except for putting a bucket under it. Some lefty people not from our hotel constantly came to the pool to swim. Wi-Fi miraculously stopped working in the evening. The staff themselves allowed themselves to sit in the bar in the evening.
In general, the whole hotel rests on its own and ours, no one is responsible for anything and no one is punished in any way. Breakfasts are monotonous: scrambled eggs, some kind of pastries (and then if you have time to arrive early in the morning), tomatoes, bread, butter, eggs... I already felt sick, to be honest, from all this. We got on our nerves with this hotel and staff
at 8-00 breakfast, and often at 8-30 they, talking loudly, are still slowly slicing cucumber and tomato (there were no other vegetables, olives) - they have not yet taken out this dish. Similarly, slow service at dinner, we only found out a day later that they give dessert, whoever doesn’t know, leaves, considering that the whole dinner is already, although you can’t really call a piece of dough a dessert.
For 10 days, there was 2 times a watermelon for dessert (one - on the day of barbecue), no fruit, no greens, no Greek salad, which is a visiting card in every tavern.
The high point was the "sandwich", dry breakfast, we left early,
it was a sandwich pulled out of the refrigerator in foil with 2 thick slices of bread with two thin slices of cheese and the same thin slices of some kind of sausage, no butter so that you could swallow it, no juice of any kind, at least a couple of the same cookies. I've never seen such disgusting service anywhere!
Plus - clean, the rooms were cleaned daily, the towels were changed, but not so often, the towels themselves, like washed, but with stains and a grayish color instead of white.
Ask reception for information about the area, buses, etc. failed, they don't know. There was only one nice girl, unfortunately, I don’t know her name, and the hotel guide Lyudmila from the tour operator Mauzenidis always tried to help.
We did not pay for air conditioning, we heard that they did not work well, and we did not visit the room at all. But at night, from the air conditioner on the floor above, water dripped onto the balcony, firstly, it irritates the drops, secondly, only there you can dry towels and swimwear, in the morning I found that the towel was completely wet, i. e. on the other side could not be placed.
The beach is one of the worst we have been to, go on large pebbles, it is covered with silt, because. there is a bay, not the open sea, and it is unpleasant for the feet, and the water becomes muddy. A bit away near the pier where pleasure boats are, the beach is better, the pebbles are small and the water is clear. Different people went and went to the beaches, both to get acquainted with the island, and not to sit in this village.
The pool is just for decoration, well, even for children, but more than 4-5 will not fit. , besides, there is also access to the street.
Outcome. In Greece, we were only in Crete, in 3 *, we were sold this hotel as 3 *, but then in Crete it turns out 5 + *, and here 2----*
There is no safe, no air conditioning, Wi-Fi only at the reception, food is scarce, the staff in the kitchen is very slow. Half board meals are made to be more expensive, otherwise everyone would eat in taverns nearby.
Compared to the triplets where we rested, this is just one. And the price is very high for such a miserable environment and poor food. I do not recommend to anyone.
The hotel is located in the village of Gouvia, 6 km from the airport and the center of Corfu. To the sea / beach - 100 m. Bus stop - 100 m from the hotel.
The hotel area is small. There is an outdoor fresh water pool. The beach is municipal, small pebble. Umbrellas + sun loungers - for a fee. There are no towels.
There are 62 rooms in the hotel. Possible accommodation: 2.2+2. The rooms, small in size, but very clean and tidy: air conditioning (for an extra charge of 5 €), satellite TV (there is a Russian channel, there is no Ukrainian channel), telephone, mini-fridge (free of charge), bath / shower, hairdryer, balcony / terrace . Wi-Fi in the reception area for free.
Meal plan: half board. Restaurant, pool bar. Breakfast - continental buffet, dinner - a la carte.
There is free parking next to the hotel.
Unfortunately, there are no conditions for the reception of guests with limited mobility.
Personal impression: nice. But the overall impression was slightly spoiled by the persistent smell of cigarettes in the rooms. Of course, the Greeks smoke the most in Europe, but for a hotel, in my opinion, this is unacceptable.
Summary: solid 4 out of 5 possible. Not bad, but I myself would hardly stay in such a hotel. Although very pleasant staff, perhaps, and would have changed my impression of him with a longer acquaintance.
