Now I will tell you the whole truth about the hotel and in general about the rest in Crete. I consider myself obliged to describe everything because, just like you, who are reading this review, before the trip I re-read a ton of reviews, both good and bad, but the travel agency manager assured me that the hotel was good and said not to believe the reviews! not true, trust the reviews!! ! everything that was in the bad reviews about the hotel is really true !! ! But I'll start with the good anyway. For the money that we spent in this hotel, in principle, I would not have any particular complaints, but. . . I concluded for myself that it is better to overpay a couple of thousand and not face many moments. The hotel is really located conveniently in relation to the street of bars and restaurants nearby and shops nearby! all OK! a very nice renovation was made in the lobby of the hotel, and in general the renovation in the hotel is new, except for half of the rooms (they are old, but not dirty, we lived in this and it seemed to me quite monralno). The old style rooms don't have hair dryers and the showers are just terribly uncomfortable! ! the whole floor is in the water, a stupid curtain and if you want to wash something, there is nowhere to do it. I don’t know how the new rooms are, but there definitely are plasmas. Since I started about the rooms, I'll tell you about the settlement! this is what started our "successful" acquaintance with the hotel. We were with a friend. Approaching the reception, I asked the administrator, smiling, to give us a good number, she apparently understood the opposite. We were given a hole on the -1 floor, we went to watch it and with every step I was more and more terrified. the room was somewhere far down the corridor, next to the stairs to the restaurant, from which it smelled terribly of food, the door was broken down below, but this is all nonsense, when we entered the room it turned out to be very small, the bathroom was 1.5 by 1.5 in which just do not turn around, but the worst thing was when we looked at the balcony, it went out the wall. . . We returned to the reception and asked to change the room, to which we were told that all the rooms are occupied, and it’s better that they don’t give us anything and that 3 floors of the hotel are superiors, we were told that the rooms will be available only tomorrow (so they tell everyone, in the hope that everyone habudetsya). After my tears, we were taken to the manager, who broke down and thought for a long time, and in the end, for 50 euros, he moved us, albeit to an old room, but with a sea view. as we found out later, EVERYONE faced problems with the settlement!! ! and many paid money from 50 to 80 euros!! ! Next, I want to talk about nutrition. I’ll note right away that I’m not picky about food, but on day 5 I didn’t want to go to a restaurant at all, because the assortment and quality of food was disgusting, and if at first we chose what to eat on the 5th day, we just got tired of eating the same thing, and generally sick of this food. Whoever goes to the sea hoping to eat seafood (like me) is definitely not the place for you, they are not there! give 1 day through 2 fish like pollock. Meat of an unknown animal and origin, we don’t if, stupid salads are seasoned with a terrible taste of mayonnaise. always Greek salad, potatoes, 3 sauces, 3 salads, meat and chicken / fish / something else. from fruits melon / watermelon / grapes, 1 kind of sweets. But beer and wine are free, but also so-so. Breakfasts are standard European: vegetables, potatoes, eggs/amlet, cake, cheese, ham. I don’t know how food is in other hotels, maybe in Greece it’s like that everywhere. We were also in Cyprus in the top three, but I can’t even compare. . . Beach: only adult aunts and vacationers with children go to it, there is nothing for young people to do there. he is sooo small, ugly, at the entrance to the sea there are giant stones, slippery, I even fell 1 time. the beach is convenient only for when you suddenly want to swim or sit by the sea for 5 minutes in the evening, and there it is not at all the advantage of the hotel. Swimming pool: we were there 1 time on the day of arrival when we went around the hotel. Of those with whom we talked after, we were alone there)) the pool is sooo small, for children. There is no animation in the hotel! In general, all modlodezh rests on Star Beach, which is 10-15 minutes from our hotel. it's very cool there, a DJ plays, a large pool, access to the sea at 17-00 foam party every day, several bars. In short, the whole party is there. Sunbeds are also 3 euros, cocktails from 6 to 8 euros. By the way, the people in Golden Beach are mostly young, I don’t advise you to go with children, there’s nothing to do with them. many Russians. Summary: if you take a ticket for 10 days for 22-23 thousand, then you won’t be very upset if it’s more expensive or there is an opportunity to pay extra, it’s better to choose another hotel. Hotels a little cheaper than this are also normal (we looked at them on purpose). I hope my review will help you make your choice!
