Hello. I have never written reviews before, but after such a holiday, I cannot help but share my impressions. Just the other day we came back from vacation and returned as the happiest people. We rested on the island of Crete in the Rethymno region. The hotel where my husband and I stayed is called Aquila Rithymna Beach. We really enjoyed our vacation. Despite the bad reviews that are written on the forums, everything is not so. Maybe we were lucky, because we were immediately settled in the main building of the hotel in a room with a sea view (as it was booked) and when we checked in, there was a bottle of wine and sweets in the room, very nice. The hotel area is huge. We can say that this is a small village. A lot of greenery, there is a church and a cafe, several pools, the beach is excellent, there are more than enough free sunbeds, the food in the restaurant is very tasty. For a change, I recommend signing up for an alacarte evening (we went to a fish evening). I think we were unlucky only with the sea, since most of the days it was not calm, although here we did not lose heart, we caught them. The staff is very friendly, smiling and attentive. We recommend to everyone.
