He is rocky. And lots of sea urchins. Therefore, swimming shoes are a must. There is a normal beach about 150 meters towards "Creta Star". But after a couple of days of rest, we found a platform right next to it with a flat sandy bottom in the sea towards the cliff, where the depth is about 1.3 m and it’s nice to swim.
The Mouzenidis company offers various excursions there. We chose "the confluence of three seas and Balos Bay" (on a ship) - we did not regret it, it was super. Crete is wonderful, like the sea!

The hotel has a tennis court that costs 5 euros, all equipment can be taken from the reception. There is ping pong near the pool, slot machines and billiards in the hotel lobby. The pool is good, with fresh water and an area for bathing children, which in our case was relevant. The food is fresh and very tasty dishes. Do not drink tap water, it sometimes smells like bleach, but there are water coolers in the hotel lobby and in the pool bar, so no problem. As for hot water in the room, there are solar panels here, so do not be surprised that you will not have hot water in cloudy weather, this is absolutely normal, though it causes a lot of dissatisfaction. In general, the hotel is very cozy and calm, a wonderful rest from the bustle of the city and from crowds of people. Perfect for family holidays. We went to the beach to the neighboring hotel, as on ours, the entry into the sea is rocky, it is not very convenient with children. Walk about 200-250 meters. There are no beach towels in the hotel, but we had our own. We took a safe, it is paid, it is in the room. Remote from the air conditioner was taken at the reception (free of charge). From the excursions we went to the cave of Zeus and for children's fun, so that the children were interested. Nearby there is a tavern in which a Russian-speaking girl works, the food is very tasty and the prices are reasonable. The hotel itself is friendly and almost everyone knew each other!
