The hotel itself is small, all in flowers, everything is clean, neat. we were given a room on the second floor, 81, with a sea view, two-room, as we originally ordered. Room without frills, everything is very simple, but working, cleaned daily. There is a mini-kitchen, I cooked a Greek salad for lunch, a light soup, coffee tea, one of the neighbors even fried fish, judging by the smell, in general, you can live. The sea is 50 meters away. There is a slide, about which a lot has already been said, I knew about it, we had an 8-year-old daughter with us, we went up and down the hill several times a day with absolutely no problems. The location of the hotel is the best we have ever seen. . it is clearly in the center, between 2 and 3 bays, every evening we could walk in one direction or the other, visited almost all famous taverns. In general, if the price of the hotel is good, then without a doubt it is worth going, if you want more chic and luxury, then this is probably the old one in neighboring Bali. The disadvantages of the hotel include perhaps very meager and monotonous breakfasts, but again - this is not a problem for everyone, having a kitchen in the room, and a bunch of different taverns nearby - you will not be hungry! I strongly advise you to visit the tavern in the 3rd bay - Akrogiali, the most delicious and inexpensive cuisine, excellent service and always great tasty compliments from the chef at the end)) Have a nice rest!

We rested in Trulis in mid-August 2013. There were only positive impressions about the hotel. We got a normal room 76, not far from the pool, everything is clean, comfortable, everything worked. Yes, and we went there not to sit in a hotel, but to learn about Crete.
So I just fell in love with Crete. The village of Bali is the perfect place for a relaxing beach holiday! It consists of four bays. Trulis is located in the second, an excellent entry into the sea, just for children. Be sure to find the fourth bay - small, but nice))). In general, the beach is also on the top five.
Near the hotel is everything - mini markets, taverns, bars, everything is within walking distance. We ate at the Galini and Psaropoula taverns. Everywhere delicious and nice staff. Galini has a cheerful and sociable waiter Alexander, who looks a bit like George Clooney and speaks excellent Russian : )))
I advise everyone not just to lie on the beach, but to take a few educational excursions. Do not make such mistakes as we did - do not look for everything beyond distant lands. All the best, as usual, under your nose. We traveled with two tour companies and only at the end we found what we needed. Near the hotel, when you go down to the beach, there is an excursion bureau Aitidis, there are still posted routes with a description. A young man Pavel is sitting there, he can be a little laconic, but do not be shy, ask questions and agree to excursions. Believe me, you will have only positive impressions! The owner of the company, and at the same time the driver of a small bus, is called Arthur. This is a true professional in his field. He has everything thought out, everything with soul and care for the client. By the way, each route contains more interesting places than the others, and the prices are the same everywhere. And only they really have a real guide, name is Tatyana. The sweetest woman, she told us so many interesting things about Crete! Oh, what beautiful places we visited. I advise everyone to go to Ballos Bay, to the monastery and palm grove in Preveli, to the pink sand beach of Elafonisi, and be sure to find out what a Cretan evening is!
I think you will not go wrong if you choose Trulis and the village of Bali! You will definitely want to return there, just like me!

The location of the hotel is great! The view from the windows of the 3rd floor is amazing! Service - great! Take only breakfast meals - this will help you get to know the local very inexpensive and plentiful cuisine in taverns. The GALINI tavern seemed to be the best in terms of the quality of home cooking. The dish "Meat MIX for three" is enough for three or four, because it has a lot of Greek salad and dessert (sour cream with cherry jam and RAKI or watermelon with melon). It costs 20 EURO! The three of us barely ate, I also took a liter of red dry homemade for 3.5 EURO. "Fish MIX" for 25 EURO is huge and varied (and already with wine)! Do not sit in a hotel or on the beach for the entire holiday - take a car for five days and travel around the entire island. I recommend using, if possible, not the National Road, but the old ones - acquaintance from the inside is something! I was in Crete for the second time and this is what helped me to develop autotourism routes. The village of Bali is cozy with excellent beaches, but in the past 2011. in Agia Pelagia I liked more. Bali itself is a quiet village, but you can’t get there by bus - you need to walk to the highway for about 20 minutes or rent a car. The staff is friendly. We went on excursions with Russian-speaking guys from Bazadzhi travel - their office is located in the port, they were very pleased with them. The guys are just SUPER!! ! On excursions they carry 4 and 8 people, which is very convenient and show much more than what guides offer at the hotel, you can also take cars through them and cheaper than guides. Before the trip, I read all the reviews about trips to Greece: there were many complaints about the equipment of bathrooms and toilets, the monotony of breakfasts. I hasten to inform you that in Troulis Apartments the sewerage did not annoy us for a single day, everything worked. Breakfast is monotonous only if you want to recoup the price of the ticket at one time and put the entire assortment on a plate at once. If you think about your health, then it is very possible to combine different breakfasts for a week from the available products. One bread is worth something! You can eat everything with it. . . FOOD: monotonous in the morning: bread, butter, sliced cheese (2 types), sliced sausage (2 types), canned peaches or watermelon, 1 melon or pear, 2 types of juices, milk, tea, coffee, peculiar thoughts (oatmeal) , 1 time there was rice porridge (not bad), 4 types of jam, boiled egg or sweet donuts without filling. Dinner: more varied, meat, fish, fruits, juices (extra charge). INFRASTRUCTURE: well developed. In the evenings, you can hear, but not loudly, the music from the bars, on the beach, but the room is quiet. There are many taverns, the cheapest one turned out to be right next to the hotel (they cook deliciously and one portion is large enough), there is also a cookery not far from the hotel. BEACH: 100 meters, quite a steep descent, but you quickly get used to it and it's useful, sports : )) Sunbeds, umbrellas for a fee, although it depends on the color of both, "its own local mafia" ; )) Merchant "Bombolone", pastries are delicious, more oriented on children. STAFF: friendly enough, no Russian speakers, but they understand a little and try to speak. The main language is English and Greek.
In general, I really liked the hotel! We rented a Toyota Yaris car, 84 euros for 2 days, saved almost 500 euros for 5 on excursions from the hotel.
