A few weeks ago I was vacationing with my husband and three children in Greece, namely in Crete at the Amnissos hotel.
Our stay left a lot of impressions and I would like to pass on some useful information for those who are just about to visit this hotel.
The road from the airport to the hotel took about an hour, but on the road this time passed unnoticed, as the bus was comfortable, air-conditioned, the children slept on the road.
At the hotel, we were met by company employees, hotel guides Kristina and Yulia, who immediately told us about the main points, showed us where the restaurant was located, and ordered us a late dinner. We were not ready for such care and such attention and were pleasantly surprised.
The hotel is family owned, so the welcome was cordial and, one might say, warm at home.
First, we were put in a room on the second floor, in a bungalow, with its own terrace, a table, chairs and flowers were planted on the terrace. I really liked the room, but because of the children I had to ask to change the room to a room on the first floor. They went to meet us and, despite the large number of tourists in the hotel, they changed the room the next day.
I was pleased with the presence of a children's area in the pool and the fact that the pool is located next to the bar and it was possible not to lose sight of the children.
The food is very good for a three-star hotel, the menu for the week is written at the entrance, breakfast includes cereals, yogurt, scrambled eggs, sausage cheese - there is a choice.
They also serve a lot of desserts for dinner, which are very good for a three-star hotel - biscuits, jelly, fruits, watermelon, pastries and other desserts.
The hotel is well suited for families with children, there were a lot of families and the children never got bored and, in addition, the hotel had an animator who organized entertainment programs for children.
In addition, we were pleased that our hotel guides, among all the programs, were able to choose for us those that it was possible to go with the children. They also told us where it is better to walk in the city, where to eat, what to see.
The rest suited us completely, we have been coming to this hotel for the second year and, most likely, we will come next season.
