Good day everyone.
I went to Crete for the first time, and did not regret that I came here for my mini vacation.
The hotel is located in the village of Platonyas, not far from Rethymno, by bus it takes about 30 minutes to go to the center of the old city, the bus runs every half hour. Tickets can be bought at the reception or in a shop near the hotel, the cost is 1.30 euros one way. And it takes about 2 hours to get to the capital by public transport and tickets are much more expensive, about 8 euros one way. To be honest, I did not dare to travel by public transport for 2 hours in an unfamiliar country.
A little about the hotel itself.
The hotel is located near the road, so in the morning it is a bit noisy from passing cars and buses.
But the room I was settled in completely suited me, updated, clean, new furniture, pleasant interior, bright, quite spacious. No complaints, clean, cleaned the room daily.

The hotel area is small, but well-groomed, growing palm trees, apricots, pears, pomegranates and lemons. There is a fountain on the street at the entrance, and an artificial pond with a fountain inside the hotel.
Near the hotel there is a shop and car rental. The sea is a couple of minutes walk, you need to cross the road and go through the tavern to the beach down the stairs. The beach is sandy and pebbly, there are slabs and stones in the water, so you need special shoes, but I went a little further to the beach of other hotels, I liked it better there.
On the territory there is a swimming pool with fresh water and a children's section, there are 2 bars, one is open from morning to evening, the other from evening to night (until 23:00). They are included in the all-inclusive system, you can take local drinks.
Thanks to the animator Daniil, who cheered us up from the very morning, in general, the animators are all great, they energize us for the whole day (aerobics, water polo and volleyball, they work with children, play).
As for the food, it was acceptable for 3 stars, sometimes barbecue was given for dinner, but it was mostly traditional Greek home cooking, the only assortment of fruits on offer did not satisfy, I wanted more, so I often bought fruits in the store. Free water, juice, soda, beer, wine and crayfish at the bar. I took coffee and fresh juice at my own expense, about 3 euros. The prices are reasonable in my opinion.
There are a lot of Russians in hotels, and the staff speaks good Russian, so there is no language barrier.
I went on 2 excursions: to the Palace of Knossos and to the Bay of Balos. I want to express my deep gratitude to the guides Alena and Christina. Incredibly interesting excursions, I have not met such guides for a long time, who present information so easily and not boringly, I was delighted and highly recommend it to everyone. I also want to express my gratitude to the family that owns the hotel, a very friendly and family atmosphere reigns in the hotel.
In general, I was satisfied with the rest, I hope that small nuances will be taken into account, and then everyone will have a perfect vacation.
