I visited this hotel in May 2013, as part of a promotional tour.
Our promotional tour began with an arrival in Thessaloniki, and it was at the Grand Hotel Palace 5 * that we settled.
Thessaloniki is the second largest city in Greece and the capital of the Greek region of Macedonia. Although the city is one of the oldest in Europe, today it is a lively and modern center, even more attractive than Athens, with wide avenues, parks and squares. The main squares of Thessaloniki - Freedom Square and Aristotle Square, located in the coastal area, where cafes and restaurants lined up in a row, are usually crowded with playing children or just walking passers-by.
The most famous symbol of the city is the White Tower, which was originally part of the city wall. The beaches in the Gulf of Thessaloniki are quite heavily polluted, however, people swim in them.

Relatively clean beaches are considered in the vicinity of Perea and Ayia Triada, located along the bay, 16-24 km east of Thessaloniki. Agia Triada is a picturesque beach with excellent infrastructure. It is located 22 kilometers from the center of Thessaloniki. You can get to the beach by a regular bus that runs from the center to Agia Triada every 30 minutes. The coast has everything you need for a comfortable beach holiday: changing cabins, umbrellas, sun loungers, volleyball and tennis courts, a playground, bars and taverns. On this beach in Thessaloniki, you can soak up the sun and cool off in the sea water, and in the evening drop by the nearby tavern for a dinner of traditional local dishes. In the evening, you can watch amazing sunsets on the beach.
The city of Thessaloniki itself is filled with numerous bars and clubs, which would be enough for two cities like Thessaloniki, and yet they are all filled to capacity and open every day.
Numerous theatrical events, concerts of classical and contemporary music, as well as an autumn cultural festival take place here throughout the year.

Hotel Grand Hotel Palace 5 * urban type, with comfortable rooms, the floor is covered with carpet, a smoky, musty smell emanated from it, the room has a small balcony, TV, telephone, everything you need.
There is a spa center. Free of charge: gym, sauna (female, male), indoor heated pool. Massage room.
Very convenient for business trips, there are 2 modern conference centers (capacity up to 3300) with 8 conference rooms, 2 banquet rooms, a business center, 2 meeting rooms
The only negative is the location of the hotel, far from the center in a residential area, where there is nowhere even to walk. The center can be reached by bus or taxi (3-4 euros).
This hotel is convenient for a stop for 2-3 days on sightseeing tours, for business trips.
