Now as for the hotel. The hotel is much cheaper than the average cost of its competitors. In different sources they write differently, where 2 *, where 3 *. The hotel is not big, but cozy, the territory is small, but green - near the pool. The first impression was upon arrival (not very, I would even say, somehow gloomy). We arrived at 4:00 in the morning, at 4:45 we were at the hotel. The door to the hotel was closed, the light was off, here we were lucky, because a Russian company was sitting at the table near the reception, which opened it for us. Entering the hotel, calling the administrator, we were settled in room 35A for $ 10 or $ 20 (I don’t remember), so as not to wait until 12:00 in the afternoon (then it was free). The room on the 2nd floor (Standart) was acceptable, for this level, in my opinion, in this hotel all the hotels are Standard. The room had a TV, a refrigerator, a wardrobe, an air conditioner, a small mirror and a balcony overlooking the pool, all rooms have balconies overlooking the pool, a table and two chairs on the balcony. I was also pleased with the chandelier with a fan. ) Of course, the toilet and bath are together, one minus is that there was no ventilation in the bathroom to the street, but a window went straight into the room, but only in the rooms that are located at the ends of the corridors. The hotel is located on the letter "P". The hotel is cleaned every day. I was also pleased that if you leave money on the table, on the bedside table, then the cleaning lady will not take it. Tipping takes only if you leave on the bed.
Walk to the beach for 10 minutes, from the hotel there is a small path, very convenient. No need to go around the main streets. Meals, only breakfasts, were once, eggs, pasta, bread, not clear salad, coffee, tea and a little fruit.
The hotel has a paid safe at the reception. They give a key to your cell, and you can use it during the day, it is closed at night. There is outdated video surveillance at the reception and in the pool, but still.
The hotel is located 2 minutes from the main street of Calangut and, as I wrote above, 10 minutes from the beach. Going out to the main street, shops on both sides of the cafe. For the average resident of Russia, everything is several times cheaper than at home.
In general, to sum up, the hotel is worthy for its price and we did not regret that we stayed in it. Convenient location. In a quiet alley. By the way, next to the hotel, right at 3-5 meters there is a stall where you can change money at a good rate, buy cheap water, snacks than at the reception in hotels. There are excursions, cheaper than anywhere else we met. The hostess sits in the shop, the owner takes excursions, the owner's name is Sandy.
I recommend the hotel for simple - "not snickering" tourists.

Arrival: around 3-4 in the morning, about 40 minutes to the hotel (not very far)
Hotel:
small, but the area is ennobled. From entertainment - a small pool. The location is very good - 10 minutes walk to the sea, there are many cafes and shops along the road. BUT most importantly, not far from the hotel there is a huge supermarket with food and household goods - Newton (where you can buy anything - from food, water, etc. , to personal hygiene products).
Breakfasts:
very meager and monotonous - basically it's always: scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, papaya, jam, toast, coffee / tea / milk.
Rooms:
I don’t know about other rooms, but we had a very old shabby room - furniture from Soviet times (dressers, wardrobes, beds, lighting and a bathroom). The linen is changed every day, although it is fresh, it is always stained (there are no snow-white sheets, in principle). At first it was not pleasant, but then they got used to it. The rooms do not have a hair dryer, no soap facilities (as in all hotels). The air conditioners are very old and located above the bed, there is a fan in every room. The rooms themselves are dark, there is little lighting (there are frequent power outages throughout the city, you can grab candles). It is better to take rooms not on the pool (it is very noisy there at night). There is no safe in the rooms, it is common to the entire hotel (located at the reception in a large iron box). Mosquitoes were not observed. In general, this hotel is for overnight stay only.
Beach:
10 minutes walk. It is very large and wide. Sun loungers and umbrellas are paid (included everything costs 100 rupees). Along the beach there are many snack bars that own sun loungers. I would not recommend drinking, and especially eating in these snacks (there is complete unsanitary conditions) But if you order something to drink, then ask them to open the bottle in front of you.
A lot of the same sellers of bracelets, beads and all sorts of other nonsense wander around the beach, they also do massages. These gypsies will blow your mind in the first days (they will try to sell everything they have, seeing that you have recently arrived and are not aware of the real value of the goods). You can just ignore them. There was no theft on the beach, I always went alone and calmly left my bag on the beach when I went swimming. The sea at this time is restless, very large waves. The beach is not to say that it is very crowded (the season only opens in November, snack bars are being built)
Local Cafes:
There are a lot of small cafes near the hotel, many of them serve decent and tasty food (but quite spicy). We liked the INFERNO cafe, there is always delicious food, good service, not expensive, and in the evening a lot of people gather. Many cafes have Wi-Fi.

We were a group of 8 people with 2 children. Everyone liked it very much. The room has a TV, refrigerator, air conditioning, fan, two huge beds, two armchairs, wardrobe, table, bedside tables. Breakfast was from 8.00 to 10.00 offered: tea, coffee, milk, mango juice, yogurt, jam, butter, toast, scrambled eggs, stewed potatoes with cauliflower, fresh cucumbers and tomatoes. The hotel is very well located - between the main street and the beach, in a quiet cozy place. We had lunch and dinner at the ALISTOS cafe on the beach - everything is very tasty, the portions are large, the prices are moderate, there is a menu in Russian and the waiters understand Russian quite well (located: turn right when you go to the beach, fourth or fifth in turn). We went on an excursion to Hampi from the tour. agency "Dream" tel. (+91.9860721633 (this is a number in India), the cost of a two-day tour is $152 per adult and $80 per child, a one-day tour to Murdershwar, Gokarna and Om Beach is $72 per person. Everything you need for a holiday can be bought there and for much less money (from sunscreen to clothes and shoes).

The hotel is quite consistent with its 3 *. There is a minibar, a fan on the ceiling, air conditioning (ancient though, loud). Everything worked. Shower, cold-hot water, everything is as usual. It smells of blooms, but I heard that it happens everywhere because of the humid climate. It smells of blooms, but I heard that it happens everywhere because of the humid climate. The main disadvantage is poor sound insulation, Indians wake up early and do not let them sleep for a long time. And yet, in my case, in the bathroom between the wall that separates the room from the next room and the window there was a small gap of about a centimeter. Thanks to this, I could hear everything that happens in the next room: who says what, sings, how who, sorry, defecates... And there were often power outages, but I don’t know if this is a hotel problem or it’s the whole city is happening (I once saw how the lights went out in the whole town). The territory is very nice, green, neat little pool. In general, if you don’t bother too much and use the hotel only to spend the night and take a shower, it’s quite a normal option.

The ticket was booked 2 months before the planned departure. We arrived at the hotel and were shocked. At first, they kept us at the reception for 1.5 hours - they prepared the room for us, and when we were given the room, we generally fell into a slump. 1st floor, next to the working premises, do not go out to the balcony, do not open the curtains, because all passers-by can see, a constant shadow. … More ▾ The ticket was booked 2 months before the planned departure. TV burnt, ashtray in the room waited only on the 4th day. and even then you can see it only because the maid is tired of seeing coasters from cigarette butts to clean. although we asked more than once.
We rested from Natalie Tours. A guide, Dmitry, was assigned to the hotel from this travel agency. This is the first time I have come across such impudence, of course it can be understood, the guy earns money. only here it is profiting at the expense of tourists visiting Thailand for the first time. the first meeting with the guide was promising. we asked him to change his number, well, because living in a crypt for 8 days is not fun. Dima promised us to fix this problem and change the room, in the end he just disappeared and tried not to bump into us, and we lived the whole rest in a crypt with tightly curtained curtains and a tightly closed balcony. The guide is not punctual, thinking only about how to fill his pocket. we decided through it to go on an excursion to the Nong Nooch tropical garden. We paid him 1200 baht, and on the day of the trip we were refused, because there were no 2 places for us. Phoned Dima - he returned the money to us in the evening, did not even apologize. Before leaving, they called him to find out when we should be at the reception and what time the bus would come for us. He safely tells us the time, and we leave on this. On the appointed day of departure, at the specified time (20 minutes before the appointed time), we appear at the reception, and they are already looking for us there with dogs. It turned out that this same Dima confused the time of departure. I almost missed my flight because of him.
At the hotel - every day when cleaning the room, they change soap-and-rinse products, in particular shampoo and shower gel. These products have a specific smell of needles or something herbal. I had to buy shampoo and shower gel in the nearest 7 leven. We left for a 2-day excursion to the River Kwai, upon return we were wildly surprised, our shampoo and gel were half empty. Breakfasts at the hotel also leave much to be desired, potatoes are always half-baked, egg dishes are a storehouse for an infectious diseases hospital.
The only plus of the hotel is walking distance to the ocean and close to the road.
водопад. река Квай.
