We were at the hotel from 27.01. 2012 to 07.02. 2012 I want to leave a review with the aim of real assistance in staying at this hotel, because there is little information, and there are many negative reviews. After reading a little of what was on the internet, I was driving with the fear of a person who had already paid for everything ...And so, in essence:

Flight and arrival: UIA charter from the JoinUp tour operator, landing with refueling in Abu Dhabi, let out of the plane for 30-40 minutes to warm up and skimp in a dutik. - everything is decent (I didn’t like the fact that in Abu Dhabi you need to go out with hand luggage, because there will be cleaning of the cabin by the Arabs - everyone was warned if something was thrown away or stolen ...- your problems). Arrival in GOA. Everything is as usual: fuss, we fight off local assistants (we wrote about this more than once), we go to the hotel. We arrived, you need to walk 100-150 meters to the hotel yourself at night along a broken-down, humpbacked street - it is inconvenient to drag a suitcase on wheels. We all fall under a kind of shed with tables, chairs, a reception desk and a door to the kitchenette.

This is the administration and the dining room in one person. First impression - well, a shed ! ! ! , then after a week of rest you will understand that this is India and here (north of GOA) everything is like that ...You just need to be prepared for this and not pay attention. Tip: You will arrive at 6 am, check-in at them after 12. You will be offered to change clothes in the toilet and go to the sea. Take advantage of this offer… but just change into swimsuits and summer clothes on the plane (well, or put it all in your hand luggage, plus sun protection creams). You will be asked to leave your things there. There is no safe in the hotel, you will be offered to transfer the money for storage to the owner of the hotel against receipt (it's the master's business, I hid it in a suitcase under lock and key).

Rooms: normal rooms! The only downside is that most of the rooms don't have refrigerators. Everything else corresponds to some and 4-star hotels in Pattaya or Hurghada, but Villa Vicenter is a 2-star. budget hotel.
Mind you folks - an 11 day stay here costs less than just a plane ticket to Bangkok! By the way, besides ours, the hotel is full of Americans and burghers, which means something. In fact, the room has two single beds, wardrobes, wicker chairs, TV (no Russian channels), hot water (flow heater in the shower). The three of us in one room will have enough space. Sockets for all types of plugs, there were no problems with the voltage in the network (I charged both the laptop, and the photo, and the phones).

Beach: from the hotel you need to walk 400 meters along muddy paths. Selyavi. The sea and sand are super, the climate (January / February) resembles the South Coast. After the humid climate of Thailand, I was just delighted. It really makes you forget all the little problems. Choose your own deck chairs. On the recommendation of “experienced vacationers”, I went to Red Lobster (100 meters to the left along the beach). There were no stomach problems.

Food: the hotel took only breakfast and thank God.
Every day breakfast was: scrambled eggs, two slices of bread, portioned butter, jam + coffee or tea (although more often there was no butter and jam, well, they can’t calculate how much they need this product for residents of 25 rooms  ). Once we were offered porridge, when we refused they went to buy eggs in a nearby stall. India!  .

Meals can be built in two ways: 1. Sheki (on the beach) and cafes. 2. We leave the hotel on the road, turn right and walk about 1 km. along Agouda Road to the Newtons supermarket (then after 400m. another Delfinos market). On the way there are places where you can buy fruits, vegetables, etc. . In the markets you can take alcohol, juices, etc. (if someone has a refrigerator in the room - you have solved some of the problems with food), BUT there is no normal sausage / sausages or cooked meat. I recommend taking a few sticks of vacuum-packed dry sausage/meat from home. Regarding vegetables / fruits: do not count on the abundance of Thailand / Cambodia.
There are tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, pineapples, watermelons, local citrus fruits and something else.

For lovers of just shrimp with beer. On the way, before reaching Newtons, on the left you will see steps to the platform of a small vegetable market. Early in the morning, if you go through it, you can go to the seafood sellers. That is, we come, we buy a bunch of shrimp there, we drag it to the hotel, we agree in the canteen for 50-100 rupees to cook it, do not forget to buy beer in Newtons. Go ahead, it's a pity that I found this option too late  .

Communication: The most interesting thing is that Kyiv Star does not have roaming in GOA. A shame! UMS and life roaming are available. For cheap calls, you can buy a local card: you need a passport, a photo like for a visa, it costs from 10 dollars. , there is some money on the account and they are enough for calls to Ukraine / Russia. Search the little shops on Agouda Road.

I finally got normal WiFi. Before that, it was barely loading.
For the thrifty, I inform you that the Indians do not change the password for using the point, but for the especially economical  the access code to the point is 1231231231, the “Jack palace” point.

View/buy: I must say right away that I have been to Thailand, Cambodia many times, therefore I did not ride on the islands, plantations and did not look for elephants. Personally, I took a public bus to Pananji (price 15 rupees / person), from there again by bus to Old Goa (price 8 rupees / person) and ...back. In old Goa, there are very nice Catholic churches, museums (entry 10 rupees). Worth the trip. At the tour operator this tour costs 55 dollars. Decide for yourself which is more convenient for you.

Shopping is best done at the Flame Market, which is open on Wednesday afternoons, or if you are interested in better quality things, go to Pananji (for example, go to the Bombay Bazaar). Really walk from the bus station on foot parallel to the embankment.

Fleet market is far from the hotel, you need to take a taxi - 350 rupees or a motorbike 300 rupees.
The night market (on Saturdays) is interesting primarily for its atmosphere and music, the issue of shopping is problematic and everything is more expensive.
