There were no insects in the room, the bed linen was very clean, a refrigerator, a shower with hot water, a good bathroom, the fan and air conditioner were turned on often due to the heat, everything works flawlessly. Breakfasts are standard. The beach is awesome!! ! No poop on the beach and cows))). Purely! The sand crunches underfoot like starch in a jar))). The water temperature is +29 in general baldezh!! ! A lot of shakes on the shore, they cook tasty and inexpensive!!!
Many thanks to the owner of the hotel, POLU, for the kind welcome and patience, since we had a fun and loud rest))). Babu - the driver at the hotel, just smart!! ! Will take and bring anywhere you want, for a moderate fee. Regina lives on the territory of the hotel - she will provide a good excursion and inexpensively, during the rest we did not meet with the guide and did not see him. We plan to go to this hotel next January))). I recommend!! !

They settled us even before breakfast, however, in an uncleaned room, but before that they asked if we were against it. We agreed as we were given a room with a refrigerator, as we requested (note that half of the rooms do not have refrigerators). We dropped our things, had breakfast and went to the beach, and when we arrived it was already cleaned up. Room cleaning upon request - when you leave the keys. For 12 days we never left the keys, but only changed towels, putting them on the dryer near the door. All valuables were left in a suitcase in the room and, thank God, there were no incidents. The room has everything you need and even extra (TV) and everything worked fine.
The beach by Indian standards is nearby - 5 minutes of quiet walking in the shade. Breakfasts are also normal by Indian standards, without a choice, but you don’t want to eat before dinner. Wi-Fi in the hotel and sheke Pine cafe, which belongs to the owner of the same hotel, is the best of all hotels where I have ever been.
We traveled by local buses for a penny to Panaji, Mapusu and Old Goa. It turns out cheaper than a taxi every 6-10 times and, moreover, never waited for a bus for more than 5 minutes anywhere. We visited the local landmark Fort Aguada. The fort is located at a distance of 3.5 km along the beach to the east. The round trip took half a day. At the same time, I got there by swimming.
We liked the hotel and the rest in general.

We all settled in different hotels but chose to be close by. I chose Villa Vicente 2*. To begin with, the location of the hotel is not correct on any map. And very far from the place where it is celebrated. The hotel is located on the border of two beaches, Calangute and Candolim. So I ended up away from my friends. The hotel itself was a bit of a shock upon arrival. But I was ready, I read that hotels in India are not Turkey and Egypt))) They gave me room 106. This is probably the best room in the hotel. Previously, they showed me the other three numbers, and when I refused, they offered this one. The room has a ceiling fan, air conditioning, TV, wardrobe, desk and double bed. Great balcony with swing chair, table and pool view. The room is on the second floor, and I advise everyone to take the second floor. balconies only on the second floors. Our other tourists were very unhappy with the rooms, almost all of them did not work, there were dirty sheets and towels. Everything was ok for me. I didn't pay for the room. There was always hot water in the room. My tour included breakfast. For breakfast at the hotel, tea or coffee, scrambled eggs or boiled eggs and toast with butter and jam. Their coffee is terrible, but I took a jar of Jacobs from Ukraine and poured only hot water and milk in the dining room. I advise you to do the same if you are coffee lovers in the morning. Never ate breakfast. The hotel staff is very friendly. Indians are generally very friendly people, always smiling and helpful. The room was never cleaned, but I didn’t leave the key, only at the end of the holiday I found out that the key must be left for cleaning)
When my girls came to my hotel, they were all shocked in what conditions I live - shocked in a good way. All of them lived in 3* hotels. I was in their hotels and mine is really just five-star against the background of their hotels))) Hot water, none of them had balconies either, for breakfast they only had bread, eggs were paid. Everything is bad and scary. So comparing I can say that my hotel is very good for India. A big minus for me is that you can not smoke by the pool and on the territory, only in the room. Moreover, when I arrived it was possible, and then forbidden signs were hung everywhere and banned. I was also surprised that when guests come, you can only drink in my room, when the girls and I decided to sit by the pool, we were told that we had to pay 100 rupees each. And the girls came to me often. my hotel was the best of all.
Well, minus the road to the beach, of course, in the evening it is dark and scary there. I never risked going down this road in the evening myself. Hindus will never offend, this is a very safe country, but other tourists are drunk... In general, I was afraid to go there.
So if you are thinking about going to this hotel, my advice is unequivocal - go! For the money, this is decent housing, but again by Indian standards.

Pros: The place is nice and clean. the pool is small and clean. Beautiful view of the buildings compared to the surroundings. The location to the beach (on the site 50m) is really 500-700 steps, depending on how you go. Gorgeous balconies in the rooms. Free scooter parking. Excellent beach area of the villa. Cons - breakfast only scrambled eggs bread butter tea coffee everything. In many rooms that realties didn’t work, I heard complaints (air conditioning, faucets, drains, etc. ), although we had 106 everything was fine. If you want to have the room cleaned, you need to give the key to the maid, otherwise you can not wait. There is no safe, but you can store valuables at the administrator's, or take them to the bank - free of charge. It’s better not to count on a vow and dinner - either there are no pavors, then there are no products. The villa is not new The rooms are a bit shabby but after living a couple of days and looking around you come to the conclusion that for 840 dollars per person for everything a normal hotel + paid extra 95 dollars for their all. The hotel is located on the border of calangute and candolim, 100 meters from the road - you go out on it to the left calangute to the right candolim to the beginning of the village centers 800 meters in both directions, this has a good effect on the beach, there are no locals there. Swimming with Indians nearby is cool but boring - this should be seen especially on the central beach of Candolim. The paths to the beach from the beginning are terrifying around the rubbish, pigs, chickens, cows, huts of the local population, but this is around the beaches of Calangute Candolim and Baga (actually this is one big beach), the villa has nothing to do with other villas in the same situation. Bring a flashlight in the evening - it's a bit dark. Lots of mosquitoes. But as soon as you went to the beach, you immediately forget about it - clean sand, no stones, a gentle entrance to the sea, although there is a wave all the time. A bunch of cafes-shek that realties ordered and use sun loungers and an umbrella. Well, the biggest minus --- on the site is all. centuries nv. fv. everything except breakfast, almost everything else is missing. We had all inclusive, as the guide explained, this means two liter bottles of water for two. four beers or rum and cola and three meals a day like in Crimea. One day they cook good ice cream, they give it, and on the next they poke pasta and that’s all and you can’t achieve anything, otherwise there’s no cook at all on the vow, but they can compensate for dinner with shrimp. or maybe not. Everything is run by a girl named Rozzie when she is there, then it’s all worth it and it feels like they don’t know what to do without her. You only need to go here for breakfast and don’t bother with the view from the window and everything will be great. Special thanks to concord exotic voyages guides Valera and Tanya who really help their tourists

After reading a little of what was on the internet, I was driving with the fear of a person who had already paid for everything ...And so, in essence:

Flight and arrival: UIA charter from the JoinUp tour operator, landing with refueling in Abu Dhabi, let out of the plane for 30-40 minutes to warm up and skimp in a dutik. - everything is decent (I didn’t like the fact that in Abu Dhabi you need to go out with hand luggage, because there will be cleaning of the cabin by the Arabs - everyone was warned if something was thrown away or stolen ...- your problems). Arrival in GOA. Everything is as usual: fuss, we fight off local assistants (we wrote about this more than once), we go to the hotel. We arrived, you need to walk 100-150 meters to the hotel yourself at night along a broken-down, humpbacked street - it is inconvenient to drag a suitcase on wheels. We all fall under a kind of shed with tables, chairs, a reception desk and a door to the kitchenette.
This is the administration and the dining room in one person. First impression - well, a shed ! ! ! , then after a week of rest you will understand that this is India and here (north of GOA) everything is like that ...You just need to be prepared for this and not pay attention. Tip: You will arrive at 6 am, check-in at them after 12. You will be offered to change clothes in the toilet and go to the sea. Take advantage of this offer… but just change into swimsuits and summer clothes on the plane (well, or put it all in your hand luggage, plus sun protection creams). You will be asked to leave your things there. There is no safe in the hotel, you will be offered to transfer the money for storage to the owner of the hotel against receipt (it's the master's business, I hid it in a suitcase under lock and key).

Rooms: normal rooms! The only downside is that most of the rooms don't have refrigerators. Everything else corresponds to some and 4-star hotels in Pattaya or Hurghada, but Villa Vicenter is a 2-star. budget hotel.
Mind you folks - an 11 day stay here costs less than just a plane ticket to Bangkok! By the way, besides ours, the hotel is full of Americans and burghers, which means something. In fact, the room has two single beds, wardrobes, wicker chairs, TV (no Russian channels), hot water (flow heater in the shower). The three of us in one room will have enough space. Sockets for all types of plugs, there were no problems with the voltage in the network (I charged both the laptop, and the photo, and the phones).

Beach: from the hotel you need to walk 400 meters along muddy paths. Selyavi. The sea and sand are super, the climate (January / February) resembles the South Coast. After the humid climate of Thailand, I was just delighted. It really makes you forget all the little problems. Choose your own deck chairs. On the recommendation of “experienced vacationers”, I went to Red Lobster (100 meters to the left along the beach). There were no stomach problems.

Food: the hotel took only breakfast and thank God.
Every day breakfast was: scrambled eggs, two slices of bread, portioned butter, jam + coffee or tea (although more often there was no butter and jam, well, they can’t calculate how much they need this product for residents of 25 rooms  ). Once we were offered porridge, when we refused they went to buy eggs in a nearby stall. India!  .

Meals can be built in two ways: 1. Sheki (on the beach) and cafes. 2. We leave the hotel on the road, turn right and walk about 1 km. along Agouda Road to the Newtons supermarket (then after 400m. another Delfinos market). On the way there are places where you can buy fruits, vegetables, etc. . In the markets you can take alcohol, juices, etc. (if someone has a refrigerator in the room - you have solved some of the problems with food), BUT there is no normal sausage / sausages or cooked meat. I recommend taking a few sticks of vacuum-packed dry sausage/meat from home. Regarding vegetables / fruits: do not count on the abundance of Thailand / Cambodia.
There are tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, pineapples, watermelons, local citrus fruits and something else.

For lovers of just shrimp with beer. On the way, before reaching Newtons, on the left you will see steps to the platform of a small vegetable market. Early in the morning, if you go through it, you can go to the seafood sellers. That is, we come, we buy a bunch of shrimp there, we drag it to the hotel, we agree in the canteen for 50-100 rupees to cook it, do not forget to buy beer in Newtons. Go ahead, it's a pity that I found this option too late  .

Communication: The most interesting thing is that Kyiv Star does not have roaming in GOA. A shame! UMS and life roaming are available. For cheap calls, you can buy a local card: you need a passport, a photo like for a visa, it costs from 10 dollars. , there is some money on the account and they are enough for calls to Ukraine / Russia. Search the little shops on Agouda Road.

I finally got normal WiFi. Before that, it was barely loading.
For the thrifty, I inform you that the Indians do not change the password for using the point, but for the especially economical  the access code to the point is 1231231231, the “Jack palace” point.

View/buy: I must say right away that I have been to Thailand, Cambodia many times, therefore I did not ride on the islands, plantations and did not look for elephants. Personally, I took a public bus to Pananji (price 15 rupees / person), from there again by bus to Old Goa (price 8 rupees / person) and ...back. In old Goa, there are very nice Catholic churches, museums (entry 10 rupees). Worth the trip. At the tour operator this tour costs 55 dollars. Decide for yourself which is more convenient for you.

Shopping is best done at the Flame Market, which is open on Wednesday afternoons, or if you are interested in better quality things, go to Pananji (for example, go to the Bombay Bazaar). Really walk from the bus station on foot parallel to the embankment.

Fleet market is far from the hotel, you need to take a taxi - 350 rupees or a motorbike 300 rupees.
The night market (on Saturdays) is interesting primarily for its atmosphere and music, the issue of shopping is problematic and everything is more expensive.
