Rested in Goa from 7 to 15 November. We arrived at the hotel at 9-00 in the morning, settled only after 14-00, such rules at the hotel (check in at 14-00, check out at 12-00). The hotel is divided into blocks (the best location is the southern block with a view of nature), we were offered a western block, a room with a view of the construction site (more buildings are being built at the hotel), we refused the room and went to the reception to deal with the hotel manager. Maybe this is such an attitude towards the Russians, or maybe our tour operators buy these rooms from them at a discount, and we don’t know if they sell them for the full price, but we solved the problem ourselves.
The manager assured us that the hotel was full and they had no alternative, asked us to stay in this room, and in the future they would offer us another one. But we were categorically determined, since we speak English, although the Russian-speaking girl Olya works at the reception, from which, however, she is of no use, she is afraid of everything, shy, yes, yes, yes, but in the end there is no information.
After a long dialogue with the manager, we were settled in the western block in a room overlooking the restaurant.

The hotel is very beautiful, cozy, stylish, new, belongs to the design hotels of the world, everything is thought out to the smallest detail. Everything is focused on hotel guests, live music by the pool during the day and in the evening. There is a children's pool and children's sun loungers. The hotel has a SPA, massage costs about 2500-3000 rupees, including 22% tax. In general, the hotel is quiet and completely relaxing.
Contingent: Russians, British, Germans, Indians. The audience is calm and decent.
During our stay at the hotel there were no "rude brothers" who, in terms of intelligence and foundations, remained in the distant 90s, but these could be found on the beach and at the MAJORDA BEACH hotel (the hotel is shabby, old, dirty, in my opinion 5 stars , but it definitely doesn’t pull on 5 and apparently they gave an extra star for the casino, the only plus is that you can walk to the beach).
(Unfortunately, there are good restaurants not far from the MAJORDA hotel, where we had lunch and dinner and met such an audience there, like sitting with girls, shouting at the whole restaurant "brother, bring me a fork", they are not shy in expressions, it immediately becomes ashamed of such compatriots. )
The rooms correspond to the photos on the hotel website. The area is small but very well maintained. The staff is friendly, friendly, cleaned the room perfectly (left a tip).
There is wi-fi in the room, skype calls were a little problematic, there was poor communication on the phone too, but in general the Internet worked well.
The breakfasts are a bit poor, but there are freshly squeezed juices, you can also order from the waiter who makes juices and cuts fruits into a milkshake. Fried eggs, scrambled eggs, pancakes and waffles, you don’t have to wait, come, order, then you can come in a few minutes, or tell where you are and they will bring you everything.

The beach can be reached on foot (left from the hotel 5 minutes, to the church and left again 5 minutes), or by minivan 5 minutes. It didn't bother us at all. You can rent bicycles from the hotel (free of charge) and ride along the beaches.
I want to thank everyone who left their reviews describing not only the hotel, but also restaurants, cafes, shops, etc. We used this information and now we want to share our own.
CURRENCY EXCHANGE.
Do not change at the airport, the rate is very low (40 rupees), you can change in the village from the hotel to the left for 10 minutes, then another five minutes to the left. (43.7 rupees per dollar)
At the airport, we bought an AIRTEL SIM card (you need a photo and a photocopy of the first page of the passport. )
BEACH.
The ocean is warm, the waves are big, the sand creaks like snow. If you want privacy, you can immediately sit on the beach on sun loungers at alexplace (we dined once, ordered lobster and grilled shrimp, overcooked and overdried) and greenlaand.
If you walk to the right for about 5 minutes, you will get to the Majorda beach, a lot of cafes like "Uncle Kolya's", oriented to Russians, the menu is in Russian, and the staff knows a few words. We took only drinks, we didn’t have lunch on the beach, because once, when we were looking for a cafe U 7 (James’s), which no longer exists, neither a cafe nor an owner, we reached Utorda beach, had lunch there at Sam’s cafe, ordered fish and shrimp, didn’t like it, not fresh, and they don’t know how to cook on the beach.
RESTAURANTS.
The most wonderful and delicious restaurants are FUSION and MIJABI.
Fusion is an excellent restaurant, very tasty, ordered seafood, grilled meat, which you cook yourself, very tasty, an unusual chocolate cake (with hot chocolate inside) with ice cream. The average bill for two with alcohol was 2000-3000 rupees. The general manager (a man with glasses) is very friendly, he can advise several places in Goa, what to see, where to eat, etc.

Mijabi-works the owner of Masako (she is from Japan, she makes excellent sushi), very tasty and fresh, ordered tiriyaki chicken, seafood, sushi, rolls. The average bill for two with alcohol is 2000-3000 rupees. The restaurant is quiet, cozy, the atmosphere is secluded, complete relaxation, if you know English, you can chat with Masako, a kind, cheerful girl, we became friends with her.
We didn't like other restaurants. (Martins corner - a lot of people, service and cuisine suffer from this)
If you are reluctant to go so far from the hotel (10-15 minutes), then you can eat in front of the hotel cafe "Uncle Kolya", ordered lobster, it turned out to be dry and crab, very tasty, delicious cakes.
SPA.
We went to the OM clinic, not far from the MAJORDA hotel, a massage costs from 1000 to 2000 rupees, in principle I liked it, assistants do it, but it is better if the doctor himself or his wife does it. The clinic also sells inexpensive cosmetics.
TOURS.
We went everywhere ourselves, took a taxi, the taxi driver lives near the hotel, a good guy, if you know English, to negotiate with him, then here is his phone number, his name is Rocky 9850526089, he took us to the southern beaches of Palolem (nothing special, there are gasthouses, a lot of intrusive merchants ), COLA (wild beach, very beautiful), round trip + waiting for us paid 1500 rupees.
With him we also went to the northern beaches of Arambol (a good market) and Varga, to old Goa and Panaji, paid 3.000 rupees.
But, of course, you need a separate day on the northern beaches and a separate day on old goa + panjim. (there is something to see, many beautiful churches). We didn't make it all.
We went with him to the waterfall + spices, gave 80 dollars for everything. (You can just pay for a taxi (1200 rupees), and cooperate with someone there and pay 20 rupees + 30 rupees for a camera and 300 rupees per person in a car for 6 people). I liked it very much at the waterfall, you just need to wear comfortable shoes, as you have to move over the stones.

We rented a motorbike, got a little lost, drove into the city of Vasco de Gama, saw the real picture, there was a dump right there, dogs, pigs, people, huts walk around, everything is like in the movie "Slumdog Millionaire". It is better to go to the highway (central highway) and go to the right place. They do not show turn signals, they only honk. Movement is right-handed.

In general, there are many impressions, mostly positive, a country of contrasts, but 7 days for Goa is certainly not enough, as there is something to see. Don't forget to bargain.
