So... rested in February 2012
Departure: from the EKB, Koltsovo airport, the Southern Cross company, God forbid, contact them at least once, the arrogant representative was late for half an hour from the start of check-in for the flight, with tickets and other documents, thanks to him we ended up in the most terrible places on the plane! The flight lasted 6 hours and 20 minutes.
GOA. . .
From the airport we went to the hotel, only at first we withstood a fight with the local population, who, when leaving the airport, simply pounced and started snatching bags to carry, got a little shabby to the representatives of the Southern Cross in order to go on a luxury bus to the hotel... Having seen the representative, and part-time hotel guide-Sabina, we were shocked!! ! Unwashed, with dirty feet and hair, madam met us at a dilapidated minibus without air conditioning. After 25 minutes on this ship, we ended up at the hotel. . .
HOTEL. . .

The tattered facade made a not too pleasant impression, they settled in a suite (a room in the middle of nowhere, without the sun with a strong smell of dampness, a kitchen, a living room and a small bedroom) - although we bought deluxes, assuring us that our deluxes would be ready tomorrow. Be sure to specify when buying a tour what your number should be - on the spot it turns out that the hotel has its own gradation of rooms, i. e. in the hotel they are called deluxe, super deluxe and suite! And on the sites of tour operators - standard, deluxe and suite. If you bought a deluxe, you must be accommodated in a super deluxe, and not in a deluxe, which is equal to the standard !! ! Be careful, the rooms differ in area, and 2 times. The staff is exclusively English-speaking, they do not understand anything in Russian.
OCEAN. . .
The most luxurious thing in GOA... The ebbs and flows of the sea are a beautiful sight. A wonderful beach with fine white-gray sand, hundreds of sheiks are located on the beach strip. In general, the place Benulim is one of the best in South Goa. The ocean is constantly seething, the waves reach 7 meters, but it's wonderful. If you can't swim, this is definitely not the place for you.
Beautiful Palolem beach, small compared to the beaches of Colva and Benulim, there are cardboard houses in which the British love to settle (exotic). Beautiful, worth a visit. THE SUN IS VERY STRONG, YOU BURN INSTANTLY, even those who never burn out.
TRANSPORT. . .
Driving on the left!! ! There are no rules!! ! But it’s worth renting a scooter, only YOU MUST NEED A LICENSE, even if your driver’s license is category B, YOU DO NOT GIVE A SCOOTER WITHOUT A LICENSE, you will also need a photocopy of your international passport. You can ride a taxi, tuktuk, for long trips it is worth renting a driver with a car, and it’s more pleasant to go on excursions in comfort, you shouldn’t listen to scary stories of representatives of tour operators - they naturally want everything to be bought from them. You understand that with a tour operator your time is limited, even staying at the same waterfall, but the driver is waiting for you and will comfortably take you to the next place.
EXCURSIONS. . .

Waterfalls, spices, elephants, temples - if you go through a tour operator $ 110 per person. By the company itself (for 4): renting a taxi-2500 rupees, although our jeep accommodated 6 people! , renting a jeep to the waterfall for 4x-2500 rupees (for 4x), entrance to spices-400 rupees per person, for elephants- 600 rupees per person. Total savings in the region of 12.120 thousand rupees for an excursion. Temples are free! For GOA, this is a lot of money. Yes, and yourself, I think you will find where to spend them than to give to greedy tour operators. You will be deliciously fed with spices, friendly guides will show you the plantations (and this is only for 400 rupees, which you pay at the entrance)
Palolem, Panaji, Margao taxi around 1800-2000 and you will see everything for yourself.
The ruins of Hampi....if anyone likes it, please, with a tour operator for 2 days... and so on, all these excursions, who likes what.
Fishing is worth a trip, interesting.
FOOD. . .
Everything is very spicy, ask without spices. There are a lot of shakes on the beach in Benulim, we tried to eat and in MALIBU - they got impudent there, Dominica - it’s not tasty and dirty, in Cocos - you can sunbathe and drink something there, but the cleanest place, cheap, oddly enough, the waiters are dressed to the point-Johncy. There are always a lot of people there, foreigners and local Indians - you won’t pass by, even the employees of other shakes themselves say that Johnsy’s restaurant is very good! I’ll attach a photo of the menu with prices in the photos. Cheaper than necks like Coconut, Malibu, etc. Be sure to try the pineapple juices and the wild water! From food-Mashroom soup (mashed soup with mushrooms and crackers), shrimp in batter, pancakes with bananas, national naan bread (slightly puff pastry with garlic, butter and cheese).
MASSAGES, AYURVERDICA CENTERS. . .
I don’t want to generalize all the centers, unfortunately, I didn’t visit all of them, but all those that came across to me were disappointing. The only thing that interests the local doctor is the amount you expect when choosing a massage. In general, treat such doctors with caution, they are the least interested in your health.
HINDUS. . .
An annoying folk, but apparently the specifics of life affect, they also need to live somehow. Insanely nice Indian people who came to rest in GOA from other states, very charming, nice to talk to, everyone speaks English, and some in Portuguese! Dealers on the beaches got "silver" and disks - it's useless to say I'll buy it later !! ! The only thing that helped was "no money", there are also a lot of beggars.
PURCHASES. . .

Be sure to visit the market in Arpora - every Saturday, from 3 in the afternoon until late at night, there you will see many interesting gizmos. On Wednesdays there is a day market from 9 am in Arpora. Everything that you didn’t buy in Arpora, buy in Anjuna. Tea, to be honest, pale, large leaf. Having bought many varieties home, I can say with confidence that the best one is Assam (black tea), a good Darling. Spices - for an amateur. I really liked the cosmetics of the Himalia brand, they bought the whole series. Leather wallets - if we have it in the region of 2.5-3.5 thousand rubles, then there we bargained in one place for 500 rupees, and then for 300 rupees alone !! ! I use them now with pleasure.
CONCLUSION. . . We did not pay attention to the hotel, the local color and all the other minor troubles, rested in full, 100%, were extremely satisfied.
