There was an opportunity to go somewhere for three days. I wanted to go to Milan for a long time, although many people convinced me that the city was quite industrial and there was nothing to see there. “I’ll find it, ” I thought, and sat down to look for tickets with hand luggage (for three days)). I decided not to risk the plane via Moscow, as they promised snowy weather. Chose Istanbul and Turkish Airlines. They left their city with an hour delay. I watched everything at home - I can go see Istanbul during a 5.5-hour break, then I read that I can take a chance, but we must remember about traffic jams and long queues for inspection. I liked that at the Turks, with a long stopover, you can choose a free tour or a hotel. I'll remember.

The flight to Istanbul was calm. But practically did not fit, legs back to back. They were fed something that looked like a sandwich. It seems that I started to eat, then I thought - how much risk should I eat something that I didn’t really like if there is another flight ahead. That's why I gave up alcohol. At the airport, transit was immediately separated along another corridor. In general, I liked the Istanbul airport itself - large halls, a lot of scoreboards and signs, enough food court. Toilets are clean. Everything is clear. I wanted to “wake up” and bought coffee. She gave me euros and (waking up) didn’t notice right away that the merchant gave change in Turkish lira (he cheated, after all! ), but it’s her own fault, you can’t relax in a foreign country. There was only nowhere to sit down, although the people did not shade themselves and fit practically on the floor along the walls. There were only chairs near the gates. As a result, I sat down near one pedestal, began to catch the Internet - nothing. I asked for help from a girl next door. It turned out that a graduate student, a Georgian, is flying to Germany to exchange experience. We sat and talked and smiled at each other. By the way, I didn’t catch the Wi-Fi. . . The flight to Milan from Istanbul went better (or I already woke up) - and there was enough space, my legs fit, and the food was more decent.

Milan met cloudy. I found the train station following the signs. At home I still chose: - the bus is cheaper, the time is the same - an hour, but I decided to return by train to avoid traffic jams. At the ticket office, the girl smiled sweetly at me and wrote down the train departure time (13 euros) and the platform number on a piece of paper. It is necessary to validate the ticket with a validator, the controllers go. On the platform, I asked a couple about the train's terminus. They answered my question in the negative, asked where I was from and added “We are a band from Finland”. O!! ! For me, the Finns are like neighbors, I really like this country, honestly)) We talked a little, smiled at each other. The train was going fast, but, apparently, I came across a car with a broken station indicator, I had to track it using Maps on my phone. The central train station in Milan shocked me. Outwardly - nothing remarkable, but inside !! ! Lepota, height, air! Hotel Mythos 3 * - not far from the railway station, found quickly, practically - in the center of Milan. I quickly decided on the street, the sign is remarkable. Old building, elevator works well. 24-hour reception desk. Photos of the hotel match. The room is small, the bathroom is slightly smaller than the room, a small hallway. In principle, the hotel met the expectations and photos on the resource. WiFi is adequate. Warm room (in February). 24-hour reception with an attempt to resolve issues - at first the kettle in the room did not work, then it simply did not turn off)) They were not cleaned, they did not take out the garbage. Given the length of stay in the hotel (2 nights) - this did not bother me too much.

When I was waiting for the plane in Istanbul, I was interested in one detail. A delegation was waiting for the landing, somehow very southeast of my city. The conversation between two ladies is curious - “Now let's check in, have lunch and go shopping. ” It was this phrase that hooked me, something so distant and familiar sounded. I decided to go shopping to see what those ladies decided to stock up on. Oh. Milan prices were a little shocking. Perhaps my words will seem strange to someone, but I was sorely lacking in Spanish shops and supermarkets.

But the next day, in the morning, I decided to take a ticket to HopOnHopOff (for old times' sake) at the railway station. But on Sunday the bus runs from 10 to 17. Not enough time, it's a pity to spend on bus excursions (I decided) and went with my feet.

I went to the LaScala Museum (9 euros). I don't regret at all. There were few people to sit, listen, close their eyes and imagine, go into the box and look around the rows of gilded red velvet chairs. When I was leaving the museum, a group from friendly China came in and practically disappeared throughout the museum.

In the morning I went to Duomo Square, there were not very many people, but I caught Fashion Week Week in the afternoon, models came out and posed, they were surrounded by photographers and connoisseurs of beauty. The Duomo Cathedral itself reminded me of the Jeronimos Monastery (Lisbon, Portugal) - the same feeling of meringue, airiness and the construction of pouring wet sand through your fingers (like on the beach))). Nostalgie? ))

Went a lot. At home, something special did not hook me. Powerful trees on the roofs of houses and curious skyscrapers shocked. Smiling people. Okay.

The way back was almost the same. The plane, half an hour before approaching Istanbul, suddenly began to make circles, then generally left over the sea, it was a little shocking. It became almost unbearable. We landed at the airport an hour late. Without much explanation. At the airport, transit passengers were immediately cut off from the rest along the fast corridor. The plane to Russia was not late. They flew calmly. For the whole weekend, only our border guard asked about the purpose of the trip.

So.

It turns out that I can go to another country for the weekend.

I can with hand luggage, it turns out. Anyway, there were a couple of things that I didn’t get out of the bag.

People respond well to my attempts to say something in Italian.

I wanted to go to Milan for a long time. I went. I understand that I have not seen the whole city, all the beauties and all the sights. Despite the originality, somehow the city slowed me down a little. Until it pulls back there.

I photographed with my eyes. I realized that this is more valuable than 347-546 photos in the phone's memory. The trip was exclusively for myself, my beloved).

Good luck to everyone and such a holiday that you yourself want))
