The village of Mondello is a place where the inhabitants of Palermo relax on weekends, in the bay of the yacht club, many rich Palermo residents have their villas in Mondello. Opposite the hotel, the Kursaal Bathhouse (built in the 19th century) is an architectural decoration of this bay, the Charleston restaurant (in the building of the bathhouse) - in my opinion - the best in Mondello both in terms of cuisine and service and prices. Since they were independent of either the senders (Lanta Tour) or the receivers (Eurialo viaggi), they rented a car in Palermo and drove along the coast. The hotel is in the style of classicism, high ceilings, spacious enough, in the bathroom - a bathtub, a shower, a bidet, 10 towels, all accessories - a hair dryer, a machine and an aftershave cream, toothpastes and brushes, shampoos and after-bath lotions, linen is changed every day , cleaning is also daily. The staff is well-trained - no complaints, the coffee is excellent. The hotel hosts conferences, weddings, parties, but all this does not interfere with hotel guests - no loud music (not only in the hotel, but in the entire village), so we got it, counting on a relatively quiet holiday. In a similar hotel on the outskirts of Catania (Baya Verde) I was two years ago. There are no shops like in Taormina, Erice or Cefalu in Mondello, so those who wish can go shopping in Palermo. There was almost no language barrier - I practiced my Italian. Even the fires in Mondello, successfully extinguished by hydroaviation, and the intense heat did not overshadow our trip - noisy, but not aggressive Sicilians, wonderful cuisine and wines, excellent roads relative to Moscow, traffic jams, as usual, at the entrance and exit to settlements with narrow streets , sea and sun - what could be better?
