The Museum of Calligraphy was opened in 2002 and is located in the historical center of the city, in the Al Mareija district. The museum is the only one in the Arab world dedicated entirely to the art of writing. The first hall of the Museum of Calligraphy presents books of various genres written in Arabic and many photographs. In the second hall there is an exhibition of golden knitting. In the last museum hall there is an exposition with quotations from the Holy Quran and texts of prayers.

How delicate this East is, you can feel here: such thinnest lines intertwined into complex drawings, which in turn are only a symbol . . only a person with the finest mental organization and the highest creative potential can do this. The letters and curlicues here are made on anything, and looking at these patterns, it seems that you are getting a little closer to this distant culture, mysterious to us. We were going to visit the museum, but they hid it from us))
For some reason, neither taxi drivers nor locals seem to have heard of this museum. How is that even possible? ) With grief in half, still found it. Expectations were justified - everything was very beautiful and elegant. There are many different exhibits, all worthy of attention. The most beautiful - golden ligature! !→

Nothing special
Don't expect anything supernatural, but as a museum lover, it was quite interesting to me. You can see all the exhibits in thirty minutes at most. So - decide for yourself, think for yourself - to go or not to go.→
