Maria Theresa Square is a large city square in Vienna, connecting the Ringstrasse and the Museum Quarter. Famous Viennese attractions are located here - the Natural History Museum and the Kunsthistorisches Museum, as well as the Monument to Empress Maria Theresa.

Walk on the lawns!
It is unusual for us that people have free rest on the lawns in Vienna. The square is always crowded, and enough tourists and locals admire the architecture, fountains and plants, located directly on the grass.→

Urban architecture lovers
The architectural ensemble of the square was designed by Gottfried Semper. In the center of the square rises a fairly massive monument to Maria Theresa (a traditional gathering place for all tourist groups). And on both sides of the square, symmetrically to each other, there are twin buildings: the Museum of Natural History with a cute elephant at the entrance and the Museum of Art History. It is always very pleasant to be here - green grass for walking and lying down, cool murmur of fountains and architectural renaissance pleasing to the eye.→
