Botanical Garden of Balchik, BalchikBulgaria, Balchik
The Botanical Garden is located in the southwestern part of the city. It was founded in 1955 on the site of the former summer residence of Queen Mary of Romania. On sixteen acres of land there is a rich collection of more than 3,000 plants, many of which are rare. A special place is occupied by a collection of cacti - more than 250 copies. The Botanical Garden belongs to the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
