Frauenkirche church

Frauenkirche
Germany, Dresden
The Frauenkirche is a Lutheran church built between 1726 and 1743 in the Baroque style. The church was designed by the architect Georg Ber and topped with a large dome. In 1945, the church was completely destroyed, the authorities, due to lack of funds, decided not to restore it, but to leave the temple in this form as a reminder to posterity of what had happened. However, on the initiative of civil associations, in 1994, work began on the restoration of the building, and in 2005 the grand opening of the church took place.

I knew that Fraukirchen was completely destroyed during the bombing. And suddenly I saw a completely restored church in front of me. She's not black yet. The stones are almost all white, but there is an interspersed black. These are the ones that remained from the destroyed church. She is simple and beautiful inside. It is simple, like all Lutnran churches, and at the same time illuminated by the inner light of love of those who, brick by brick, restored it with their own hands. Do not be lazy, go to the Fraukirche restoration museum, and you will understand everything!.
