The Semper Opera House is an opera house located in the center of Dresden near Residence Castle Dresden and Zwinger . Built in 1841 in the Baroque style according to the design of Gottfried Semper, it was repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt, the last restoration took place in 1985. All performances in tribute to the inhabitants of the city are staged exclusively in German.

The opera building fits very harmoniously into the ensemble of the Theater Square and the Court Church. This luxurious building was built by the architect Gottfried Semper. But the building was not very lucky. Once it fell victim to a fire, the second time it was completely bombed out in 1945. And only 40 years later it was almost completely restored to its original form. You can admire it inside if you take tickets to the performance.→
