The entrance to the port of Lindau is guarded on one side by a six-meter Bavarian lion on a pedestal (sculptor Johan Halbing), and on the other by the New Lighthouse (tower height 33 m). Together, they create an impressive composition when viewed from both water and land. This is the most photographed tourist spot in Lindau. If you have time and desire to see both the Swiss and Austrian coasts at the same time, you can climb the lighthouse for about 2 euros. You will have to climb 136 steps to the very top.→
