Lane St. Catherine

Lane of St. Catherine, Katariina käik, St. Catherine's Passage
Estonia, Tallinn
St. Catherine's Lane got its name in honor of the church of St. Catherine, which was located here until the middle of the 16th century. Katarina Lane was previously called a passage and was not separated into a separate street. In summer, concerts and performances by folklore ensembles are often held here. St. Catherine's lane connects Vene and Muurivahe streets.

This is a small old street-museum. It houses the art and craft workshops of the "Guild of Masters of Katharina". Free and free access is open to each workshop. Here you can see an artist at work, printing an etching, a potter firing a vase...One of the most spectacular is the work of a glass blower. All these people are not actors, but real artists, and they are engaged in real work; therefore, when you look into a workshop for a moment, show due respect to its owner. If you like any product of the master, it, of course, can be purchased.
