Historically (as the name implies) this is one of the oldest districts of the city of Sharm el-Sheikh.

The Old City has direct access to the sea (Sharm El Maya Bay), many private and public beaches, some hotels are located on the territory of the Old City, in addition, planned construction of new facilities is underway towards the port.

In the Old Town, in addition to hotels and beaches, there is the famous large oriental bazaar Old Market. As elsewhere in the city - a lot of restaurants, shops, entertainment complexes.

For shopping and seafood
The old city is located, as it were, in a hollow in the center of which stands a beautiful new mosque. And life is seething all around - trade, restaurants. Were several times - bought, tasted seafood and fresh juices for a van dollar. The atmosphere is colorful, even a little tense from the habit. But interesting!→

Walk for 15 minutes
The old city is no longer very old, that bright noisy market is gone due to the crisis, just streets with shops. The mosque is beautiful at sunset, there is not much to do.→

Seafood is the main reason to visit the old city
When choosing in Sharm, we were guided precisely by the proximity to the old city in order to eat seafood. Initially we went to Fares after reading the reviews. I didn’t like the place: it’s dark like in a cave, there is no beer. We settled on a cafe called Lagazelle. Shrimps, grilled fish are very tasty. Great hot sauce. We also visited some Elfiruz. The price tag is lower, but all this is accompanied by reading the Koran. Mussels - cooked in a sauce that is solid salt. Shrimp, the most primitive - boiled.→
