Macaya House is located on São João Boulevard. It was built in 1901 by the Catalan architect Puig i Cadafalch in pseudo-Gothic style. The house is similar to another creation of this architect - Amalle House, the facade and patio of rare beauty are covered with delicate sgraffito patterns. Now the building belongs to the bank La Caixa, which often organizes art exhibitions here.

Casa Macaya, 1901 Architect: Josep Puig i Cadafalch. Address: Passeig de Sant Joan 108. Josep Puig y Cadafalch taught at the Barcelona School of Architecture, served as city architect in Mataro, and in 1917 was elected President of the Catalan Parliament. Casa Macaya belongs to the largest Spanish bank La Caixa, which uses it not for financial transactions, but for art exhibitions.
