The name Montserrat comes from the Catalan words mont (mountain) and serrat (cut, sawn). According to one of the legends, bored angels cut the mountain with their golden saws. How to get from Barcelona? There are two options: 1. Electric train + cremalera (Cremallera de Montserrat), rack railway.
